About this episode

Sidney Blumenthal appeared on Dutch television to allege that a cabal of FBI agents in New York, coordinated by Rudy Giuliani, orchestrated a coup d'etat to influence the 2016 election. This explosive claim coincides with Senator Harry Reid labeling FBI Director James Comey a Republican operative. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg released a technical roadmap to combat misinformation on Facebook following a BuzzFeed analysis showing fake news engagement surpassed mainstream reporting.

Media scrutiny intensifies as the BBC and NBC are accused of selective editing regarding National Security Advisor appointee Mike Flynn and his comments on Islam. In Washington, Representative Devin Nunes confronted DNI James Clapper over a multi-million dollar intelligence report that was largely plagiarized from Wikipedia. Simultaneously, the World Health Organization lifted the Zika virus emergency status just as winter approached and $1.9 billion in funding was secured. In the UK, the Investigatory Powers Bill passed the House of Lords, granting authorities warrant-free access to internet metadata.

John C. Dvorak clarifies that his recent Facebook announcement was about a new poodle, not a child, while the hosts mock the dramatic delivery of Chris Hansen on his new Crime Watch program. The segment concludes with a look at the Stanford marching band's suspension for lewd behavior and a critique of Dr. Phil’s controversial interview with actress Shelley Duvall.

iPhone 7 Plus Performance, Internet Speed Testing Discrepancies

The performance of the iPhone 7 Plus is evaluated during a remote broadcast from an Airbnb. Observations regarding 10 megabit internet connections suggest that service providers may be using code to manipulate speed test results, a practice compared to historical cheating by graphics card manufacturers and the automobile industry. T-Mobile's extended reach LTE radios are noted for providing superior connectivity compared to Verizon MiFi devices.

It's bullcrap That's why yeah, I guess you're right There are some of these systems that manage to fool

01:27 And I think everybody, I don't know what code they're using. What kind of code they've got going back and forth but it triggers something this is this kind of thing tricking tests has been a long established kind of tradition in America especially in the technology companies. I think that's... Especially in the automobile industry. The automobiles industry but when I was at PC, well still am at PC Magazine but when they had their big labs and they had this one guy who kept finding these graphic cards manufacturers cheating. They have some code in there that would make the test results different than what reality was and I believe that there's a

02:07 This happens on everything and I don't know how they're doing it with these tests, but they're doing it. So in other words that's bullcrap at 10 and 10. Okay well I'll tell you that of course they have the Verizon MiFi that always bring we'd be we have a monthly 20 gig allotment for roadshows not slow I mean It's just not really zippy. Podcast Trigger Warnings, Mic Drop Sound Complaints

A satirical trigger warning is issued regarding an upcoming "mic drop" sound effect at the end of the program. Listeners on Facebook have reportedly complained about the frequency and volume of the sound. The utility of the fast-forward and pause buttons is suggested for those sensitive to specific audio elements.

02:54 Always got a knock on wood. And before we get started with your lot, man is over it. We're sorry before we start I do want to issue a whole answer trigger warning trigger warning there will be a mic drop at the end of the podcast so for those of you with very sensitive ears who for some reason think that it's louder which The frequency is hard for you to hear. You can turn it off so you won't be offended after you hear the donation jingle! And there's a mic drop right there Yeah, but I'm not doing it now because that would be unfair. That'd give the trigger warning. But that's where it would be. Exactly, that's where it would be

03:47 So I thought you had the woman screaming the Yoko Ono singing then he did the mic drop a couple of just ones. I did that once but it's the microbe there people are complaining loudly about the mic drop, you know It's kind of like Oh donation segments will listen we invented this whole podcasting thing with Total interactivity in mind don't tell anybody but we have controls built-in It's usually labeled FF give it a shot if you want to miss out on some of the best content. And there's a pause button, if you're going to be triggered by this horrible mic drop sound. I don't know- when did this start? Since... well... The complaining started getting loud in the past week About the mic drop Yeah! Yeah. But yeah, I think it started on the facebag Yeah, it's at first in the facebag Oh! Facebag! Ha ha ha ha ha ha Everybody So I'm looking at the face bag John I know you do not have an account

CHAPTER 03 / 46 Discussion

Dvorak Family News, Safety Pin Symbolism

John C. Dvorak discusses a Facebook announcement regarding a new addition to his household, which turns out to be a poodle rather than a child. The conversation shifts to millennial culture and the use of safety pins as a political symbol. The safety pin, originally patented in the 1870s, is ironically linked to its 20th-century use for pinning diapers.

john c. dvorak· millennials· safety pin· diapers· facebook

04:50 And there's a photo posted by Jessie. You know, Jesse don't you? Yeah! Which is Buzzkill Jr.'s wife Right! She posts the picture of three pairs of socks Yeah that was her announcement One little tiny pair Yeah Well we have the patter of tiny feet in the Dvorak household again No they got a poodle In The Morning Okay, you were ready for that. I guess no I was not You could it wasn't in the scripts nice one Do we know what it is yet?

05:31 This is rich. They don't want to be surprised. Oh, what morons! Classic millennials. We wanna be surprised! So they're gonna have nothing for this kid? Everybody's hounding him so... The only thing they'll have for the kid because I realize that this isn't really the origin of this particular object But that's what it has been used for in recent history, even though it was invented in the 1870s. Safety pin! You know safety pin of course although initially meant for you know pinning clothes was pretty much used most of the 20th century for diapers. How fitting that is now the symbol of the millennials

06:21 A nappy pin, I tell you. Well congratulations so we don't know what it's going to be and uh i guess you're just gonna not care until it's there apparently i guess that's what's gonna happen yeah now i would have mentioned on the show but i figured that they're the ones that's not my business to pre-announce right but since it was announced on a bag they may have a friend that listens to this show you never know You know, I don't want to pre-announce it before they do because they may have a friend. Oh no! No that's highly unlikely. That might listen to this show. Highly unlikely By accident Really like I tripped and fell and you know just could catch my eye on the bathroom towel hook And then I heard the show now I don't think so Okay yeah So well I sent a newsletter out that was about fake news Yes fake news is what its all about

CHAPTER 04 / 46 Discussion

Facebook and Google Fake News Controversy, BuzzFeed Analysis

A BuzzFeed analysis reveals that fake election stories generated more engagement on Facebook than content from major news organizations like the New York Times during the final three months of the 2016 election. Stories regarding Pope Francis endorsing Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton selling weapons to ISIS are cited as high-engagement hoaxes. Reports indicate many of these sites were operated out of Macedonia for profit rather than political ideology.

facebook· google· buzzfeed· mark zuckerberg· macedonia· fake news

07:17 So my thesis today is about fake news. Oh, you know what? I'm happy you say that because I got a couple of fake news the side as well and My thing is that most of the fake news that I picked up this week Can we do it background around this before you jump right into it? I think what I think but actually there's a I have a clip That's a background early beautiful which is the fake news clip which is in here Mm-hmm reading less they can find it for ya Maybe fake news one? Is that a thought? That would be, that would be one of them. Yeah they go with that Well there's...okay Fake News One everybody In the week or so since the election There has been mounting criticism Of whether web giants like Facebook and Google Used enough discretion and editorial responsibility in screening out fake news sites A new analysis by BuzzFeed found that false election stories from hoax sites And hyper-partisan blogs

08:11 generated more engagement than content from real news sites during the last three months of the election. Users shared false stories like this one about Pope Francis endorsing Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton selling weapons to ISIS hundreds of thousands of times, even more than real stories President Obama weighed in today during his trip to Germany If we are not serious about facts and what's true and what's not. And particularly in an age of social media where so many people are getting their information in sound bites, snippets off their phones if we can't discriminate between serious arguments and propaganda then we have problems

09:07 I actually had this clip too, of course. But this is what I think John you and I have been waiting for we knew this was coming and it's probably fair to say that the genesis of this fake news came from the Hillary Clinton campaign or You know, surrogates operatives or whatever who were saying that this was besides of course Jim Comey FBI besides of course misogyny Besides of course all the it also is a Facebook didn't stop the fake news and that's why she lost Mm-hmm. Yeah everybody's fault Did you read Zuckerberg's actual note about this?

09:46 I didn't read Zuckerberg's full note. I do have a little clip of Zuckerberg coming up on... Yeah, why don't we do that and then if I need to read any of the note, we can do that? Well first let's finish this fake news thing in part two. This is short just for more information. Okay, part doe. Craig Silverman worked on the analysis done by BuzzFeed and he joins me now. Craig how do we know Facebook's impact on the electorate? How did you research this? Well, what we did was we looked for the biggest 20 hits in the last three months before the election from sites that published fake news or sites that had published something false. That also went viral and then we looked at the total number of Facebook engagements for those and that's a number that encompasses the comments, the reactions and shares and we decided to compare those to the top twenty real election news hits from 19 major news organizations

10:39 What we ended up seeing, which was quite surprising was in those last three months of the election compared to the six months before that. The engagement on the top 20 fake news stories was actually higher than what you saw for the real news and you found that some of these sites were really new sites but still they had as much power if not more than say The New York Times or Washington Post? That was one of the really surprising things to me I didn't expect fake news to get more engagement than real news overall but to see that the leading fake news site getting the most engagement had only been registered months before and its top four fake stories got more Facebook engagement than the top four election stories from The Washington Post. I mean, that was really surprising." And you found in some of your investigations that some of these are sites that were built in Macedonia for more of a profit motive than a political one?

CHAPTER 05 / 46 Discussion

Mark Zuckerberg Response, Facebook Misinformation Roadmap

Mark Zuckerberg issued a public note outlining Facebook's plan to combat misinformation through stronger technical detection and third-party verification. The roadmap includes easier reporting tools, warnings on flagged stories, and disrupting the economics of "ad farms." Zuckerberg emphasizes that while the company uses signals from sites like Snopes, it aims to avoid becoming a central arbiter of truth.

mark zuckerberg· facebook· snopes· artificial intelligence· fact-checking

11:25 Oh man, there's so much beauty in here. I know that you've got a whole thing prepared so... ...I'm gonna let you roll but i think i should read the Zuckerberg letter. Well yes please. I want to read the Zuckerberg and then also he gave an example of a fake news story My god for 25 years they've been growing babies in cow! This is when I love the chat room and they have great ideas, okay? Alright, here it is. Zuckerberg's note A lot of you have asked what we're doing about misinformation so I want to give an update The bottom line is we take misinformation seriously Our goal... Yes, yes, you may comment Our goal is to connect people with the stories they find most meaningful and we know people want accurate information We've been working on this problem for a long time And we take this responsibility seriously We've made significant progress but there's more work to be done

12:23 Historically, we've relied on our community to help us understand what is fake and what is not. Anyone on Facebook can report any link as false and we use these signals from those reports along with a number of others like people sharing links to myth-busting sites such as Snopes! Woohoo! Snopes! Call out for Snopes to understand which stories we can confidently classify as misinformation. Similar to clickbait, spam and scams... ...we penalize this content in newsfeed so it's much less likely to spread These problems here are complex both technically and philosophically We believe in giving people a voice which means erring on the side of letting people share what they want whenever possible! We need be careful not to discourage sharing opinions or mistakenly restricting accurate content

13:10 accurate content. So this difference between fake and real is accurate We do not want to be arbiters of truth ourselves, but instead rely on our community and trusted third parties While the percentage of misinformation is relatively small we have much more work ahead in our roadmap Normally you wouldn't share specifics about our work-in-progress But given the importance of these issues And the amount of interest in this topic I want to outline some other projects we already have underway Here we go John Stronger detection! Boo The most important thing we can do is improve our ability to classify misinformation. This means better technical systems to detect what people will flag as false before they do it themselves! Well, this is AI John... stand back

13:52 Easy reporting. Making it much easier for people to report stories as fake will help us catch more information faster Third-party verification There are many respected fact checking organizations and while we have reached out to some, we plan to learn from many more Warnings! We are exploring labeling stories that have been flagged as false by third parties or our community and showing warnings when people read or share them Related articles quality. We are raising the bar for stories that appear in related articles under links in the news feed. Disrupting fake news economics, a lot of misinformation is driven by financially motivated spam we're looking into disrupting the economics with ad policies like the one we announced earlier this week and better add farm detection

14:38 And finally, listening. We will continue to work with journalists and others in the news industry to get their input—in particular, to better understand their fact-checking systems and learn from them. Some of these ideas will work well and some will not but I want you know that we have always taken this seriously. We understand how important this issue is for our community and are committed to getting it right! He's a doofus. So let's play his clip here to prove that point I just made. Okie-doke While speaking to world leaders in Peru today, Zuckerberg acknowledged the role social media has played in elections he also says all websites have a responsibility to ensure accuracy and fairness on the internet We also need to do our part to stop the spread of hate and violence and misinformation

CHAPTER 06 / 46 Discussion

Zuckerberg Non Sequitur, AI and Privacy Balance

During a speech to world leaders in Peru, Mark Zuckerberg made a statement linking the use of artificial intelligence to fight terrorism with the protection of user privacy. The phrasing is analyzed as a potential admission that current anti-terror systems are inherently intrusive to personal privacy.

mark zuckerberg· artificial intelligence· terrorism· privacy· peru

15:30 We can build artificial intelligence to fight terrorism, but we also need to make sure that we protect people's privacy. Zuckerberg plans on including warning labels on false stories and working with journalists to develop a better fact-checking system Facebook is hardly the only company struggling to address this problem Google has also taken steps just this week to try to stop fake news writers from making money off of their ad services Yeah, heaven forbid. So let's play the little ISO there of Zuckerberg I thought this was an interesting non sequitur We can build artificial intelligence to fight terrorism But we also need to make sure that we protect people's privacy. I know it's beautiful so that means one got to do with the other oh Well, they use a but why does he use an and instead of a butt? I have I ever thought what did you have a thought about

16:22 Well, I want to hear yours first. What he's saying is we've built systems to combat terrorism online which i guess would be horrible things people post And the reason he said but is because they're in completely intruding on your privacy in the process of doing that Let's listen to that again. That's a very good catch we can build artificial intelligence to fight terrorism But we also need to make sure that we protect people's privacy yeah, which were clearly not doing right now Yeah, nice good one. He said and I think it wouldn't have caught it no But then something else yeah, but that means you sweeten me something's something's wrong Did you say but the truth always wants to come out? But the but the real issue is Not even who determines what fake what is fake, but what is fake That's that's I mean geez Television by itself its very nature is fake

CHAPTER 07 / 46 Discussion

Media Portrayal of General Mike Flynn, Contextual Misleading

Mainstream media coverage of National Security Advisor appointee Mike Flynn is criticized for being out of context. Specifically, an NBC report by Andrea Mitchell is highlighted for making it appear Flynn initiated "lock her up" chants, when he was actually responding to a crowd. Critics argue these reporting techniques constitute a form of "fake news" through selective editing.

mike flynn· andrea mitchell· nbc· cnn· donald trump· national security advisor

17:22 Well, that's the second part of my little clip clippage here. Okay? Can I just believe that if we're gonna look at fake news and if we're gonna take this seriously The real fake news purveyors are the networks give me some examples I think I will. Let's go with NBC, Andrea Mitchell on Flynn the general. You got all my clips don't you? This is great Donald Trump campaigned on shaking up Washington. His first foreign policy hires live up to that promise for national security advisor a job that does not require Senate approval retired three-star lieutenant general Mike Flynn, a decorated combat veteran who rose to the top of military intelligence before being fired by President Obama two years ago criticized for ruffling too many feathers A lifelong Democrat drawing attention for his strident takedown of Hillary Clinton at the Republican Convention

18:22 Lock her up! That's right. Yes, that's right. Lock her up! Stunning former colleagues by cozying up to Vladimir Putin at a lavish dinner in Moscow for Putin's propaganda arm Flynn is outspoken against radical Islam There is a disease inside of this but this you know Islamic body It's like cancer He'll be the last person talking to the president about national security decisions running an office that has exploded to 400 staffers The National Security Advisor role is the most pivotal because it plays the role quarterback for national security policy. General Flynn is a good and important choice to have given his experience and background." Some are questioning whether Flynn can be an honest broker inside the cabinet. Can general Flynn make that leap to understand the diplomatic side of things? I think those are just some of the questions that are being asked

19:16 I also have a clip about it. Well, I got a bunch of follow-up clips to show that this is a fake news story that she just did Can i play the same fake news story from CNN? Okay, I don't have the CNN. Give me CNN. Let's just throw up this tweet from Michael Flynn earlier this year It says fear of Muslims is rational and there's a video that says please forward this to other people you know the truth fears no questions. What does this tell us about Donald Trump's worldview going forward? Well, the fear is that this doubled down on his darker impulses about the Islamic world look Michael Flynn General Flynn has made fair criticisms of how this administration dealt with

20:00 the rising threat that became ISIS. But then you jump the shark into this kind of Islamophobia to indict, to say that Islam is a political ideology what he has said and not a religion? To indict four billion Muslims around the globe? I mean, that's just short-sighted ignorant thinking." Jason one more troubling thing his Twitter feed reveals He tweeted a fake news story that is so over the top, it's absurd. Let me read it to everybody. You decide! NYPD blows whistle on new Hillary emails money laundering, sex crimes with children etc. must read! This comes from a so clearly fake news site that there's a gullibility that this suggests that is troubling let's put this in context on Monday President-elect Trump selected Steve Bannon to be his

20:56 It's all kind of in one clip, because I didn't know where you were going. But I like this because it has the fake news story followed by him with a fake news story but then they're gonna wind it up with this black guy... Their fake news story? Yeah but even this is like gonna top the fake news stories His senior advisor and this is someone who sympathizes with white nationalist groups who are basically terrorist groups Okay And now he got a national security... Save that clip cause I have an abandoned thing that would fit into Okay I'll save that part Let's go back to the Andrea Mitchell clip The one part where she says she's extolling this guy's problems, including him standing there saying lock her up. Lock her up if you remember that clip? Yeah yeah that was that was Flynn. But it was out of context this was fake news the way she did it because it was out of context he did not initiate... It made us sound like lock her up! Like he initiated this. He did not initiate to locker up thing here's the PBS uh this is the Flynn Genesis clip

21:54 Plus? Yes, plus. Yeah, of course. Out of context that's the best kind of fake news. Completely out of context so I would say that Andrea Mitchell's report is insincere and it's misleading because he was just giving his regular speech and the crowd started chanting this And then he said yeah lock her up sure sounds like a good idea but she made it sound like he's initiating it which is a example of fake news

CHAPTER 08 / 46 Discussion

BBC Coverage of Flynn, Islamic Cancer Quote Analysis

The BBC is accused of spreading state-sponsored misinformation regarding Mike Flynn's comments on Islam. The network claimed Flynn likened the religion to a "malignant cancer," though the word "malignant" was not in the original quote from a Bill Maher appearance. The segment is labeled "Clip of the Day" for its perceived lack of journalistic integrity.

bbc· mike flynn· islam· bill maher· propaganda

22:32 Now the other one is this cancer thing. I want to play this as Michael Flynn on Bill Maher where he talked about where he brings up this cancer thing, Muslims being in Cancer. There is a disease inside of this Islamic body it's like cancer. Right? It was like cancer a disease within the Islamic body. Now play the BBC clip, BBC on Flynn and the Muslim cancer and listen carefully. This is America's next national security advisor General Mike Flynn A retired intelligence officer whose views on Muslims have been accused of being Islamophobic In his speech this summer he likened the world second largest religion to a malignant cancer Islam is a political ideology It is a political ideology

23:21 It definitely hides behind this notion of it being a religion. Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the United States Donald J Trump! But it's precisely that kind of outspokenness and his experience of counterterrorism thats made him such a trusted advisor You know John not only did they clip off The end where it puts into context They're a state sponsored news outlet They're a state-sponsored news outlet and if you want to, I want to play this clip again because this guy clearly calls him out. He associates Muslims with the malignant, he- the word malignant was never used in any of these quotes. But he says malignant cancer then he plays a clip as if the clip backs him up? Yep And there's nothing in the clip! This is America's next national security advisor General Mike Flynn A retired intelligence officer whose views on Muslims have been accused of being Islamophobic

24:18 He likened the world's second largest religion to a malignant cancer. Islam is a political ideology, it definitely hides behind this notion of it being a religion. Ladies and gentlemen the next president of the United States But it's precisely that kind of outspokenness and his experience of counterterrorism has made him such a trusted advisor. This is the worst of the group! Unbelievable, shameful, shameful from the state-sponsored BBC. That's the BBC? State sponsored BBC. Yes. Gotta love it. Yeah well that clip to me was enough that it just made me sick... That clip is enough not only make me sick but hand out the Clip Of The Day

CHAPTER 09 / 46 Discussion

CNN Commentary on Flynn, Russian TV Appearances

CNN commentators are criticized for framing Mike Flynn's appearances on Russian state television as dangerous. It is noted that other prominent American media figures, such as Ed Schultz and Larry King, have also appeared on or hosted shows for Russian outlets without similar levels of condemnation.

cnn· mike flynn· russia today· ed schultz· larry king

25:01 I'll have other fake news along the way. Yeah, I'm sure you will! I have here... Well i'm gonna play that guy now and we don't have to get into banning just this moment but just what Fake News has done to this commentator on CNN is astounding. He's got a national security advisor who has said that Muslims should be feared, who has made very aggressive statements about countries we have to interact with across the globe and also appeared on Russian television state sponsored Russian television

25:42 This is dangerous and tweeting out fake news Suggests to me that not only is he going to continue to spread the kind of violent rhetoric that he did throughout the campaign He'll continue to do it once. He's in office once He's in a position of power and that is dangerous for everyone in this country Oh my gosh, she's appeared on Russian TV Oh no, we're going to die for sure. Ed Schultz is on Russian TV Larry King is on Russian TV I mean I have more just outrageous fake news stories which if you think about it We are the fake news filter for the mainstream media That's what we've been doing for going on nine years now

CHAPTER 10 / 46 Discussion

Hamilton Cast Controversy, Mike Pence Conversion Therapy Claims

A CNN panel featuring Angela Rye discusses the cast of the musical "Hamilton" confronting Vice President-elect Mike Pence. The claim that Pence wanted to divert HIV/AIDS funding toward "conversion therapy" is labeled as a persistent piece of fake news. The cast's diversity and the lead actor's HIV-positive status are discussed in the context of their public statement to Pence.

hamilton· mike pence· angela rye· cnn· conversion therapy· hiv

26:22 At least we try and we're not always successful, and we're not always right. But damn, I mean, we're doing better going on 10 years. We just had our ninth anniversary. Sorry, I lost track darling sorry Did you get my card? And the flowers. No, I didn't. You cat! Here is the CNN panel on one of my favorite lies about Mike Pence and i have researched this guy and just yeah this is Angela Rye she's the former black caucus staffer who was now a CNN commentator Before you play it let me just push back a little bit This in relation to the Hamilton fracas

27:01 And then, and which was quite interesting because of course the people who are in the Hamilton. I mean Tina and I wanted to see Hamilton. I couldn't get tickets for Hamilton. I can't afford the tickets for Hamilton but okay. The former assistant you know the gopher for the black caucus Yeah, she had no problem. This is so important because of who Alexander Hamilton was and this cast which I happen to get to see this musical last year we spent way too much money on the tickets. You can call me an elite. I'm just being honest like it was a sacrificial offering to go to this play And what I want... And I assert that you still are an elite even if it was just a sacrificial offering I don't think he had to kill your children

27:43 But still, most people can't sacrifice $800 minimum. This cast is so far from the elites. This cast is the representative of The American Dream They worked hard, they pulled themselves up by bootstraps before they had the boots on They worked really hard to make it into industry Holy crap was she kidding? Yeah like unlike anyone else Of any color, creed background Everybody that works on Broadway work their asses off Are you kidding me?! Yes, we're kidding you. It's fake news. There wasn't space for them in here I know you said that race doesn't matter in this space all but it does and so often about the way the way that theater folks get along with each other and work with each other not saying the opportunity is different. So often wait for it not the story that we can tell but this cast is diverse they had a Latino man playing Alexander Hamilton they eliminated race barriers through this play and the one thing that I would say that's so important to frame this

28:43 Is the lead character playing Hamilton now no longer Lin-Manuel. Yeah, Manuel sorry right he is Openly gay openly gay HIV positive man and let's talk about Javier Munoz and he was part of Out But Don, this is against a vice presidential now or elect. Vice president-elect who wanted to use HIV AIDS money for conversion therapy. Can you imagine what that's like? So tired of this lie, but really tired of this one. That is a blatant lie we've produced documentation on the show over and over again. This is your little thing and it's outrageous that this is fake news. You're right! And where as everyone saying oh hold on a second nuance that a little no. AIDS money for conversion therapy can you imagine what that's like in that space I think

29:45 always say you know it's about the elites or whatever we have to like look at things for their full experience right and all Don Lemon says is right yeah that's right please this is so just uh you know not as she's like I really dislike that one. Now that she brought this clip into play, Now, the whole thing that took place on Hampton, because you know this is what they think. They think there was actually something that said AIDS money should be turned to conversion therapy. All the people in that play believed that! That's why they did the showstopping.

CHAPTER 11 / 46 Discussion

PBS NewsHour Shift, Dwayne Andreas Obituary

The PBS NewsHour is criticized for a perceived shift in objectivity following the 2016 election. A specific segment featuring an obituary for former Archer Daniels Midland CEO Dwayne Andreas is questioned, as Andreas had not been associated with the company for 20 years. The tribute is viewed as a favor to a long-time corporate underwriter.

30:21 Well, it wasn't a show. It was at the end of the show? Yes! Of course they do. Of course they do and this is the sad thing is I can't blame them for believing that you've been subject to what is it called oh yeah fake news lies absolute fabrication and lies uh but and and it's just getting rampant I mean we can have a field day with this it's gonna be real easy well I'm telling you I think over the next year people thought were doing a splendid job over the last like two or three months of the election The way I'm seeing it when i'm listening to the current clips coming out and some of the things these guys are doing, I think is getting worse. PBS for example has completely turned nuts as if...and now they're showing their corruption too. PBS, the news hour I'm talking about, has just

31:14 Obviously, somebody on their board or one of the donors or some underwriter has gotten on their case for being a little I guess wimpy during the election and trying to be objective. And PBS is going out of its way to just go in the other direction. Listen to this. This is a clip...I gotta get this right clip Um, PBS long expo on Flynn. Oh well there's I got a check at three clips. I don't want to start hogging and clips here but my clip auger let's play. There's the one here look for the old. Let's start with the obituary, the old bit free this guy. Okay? I've never seen PBS do this. They do an O bit

31:58 for a dead CEO who hasn't been the CEO of the company for maybe 20 years. He's just a random CEO, I've never seen anything like this it's for Archer Daniels Midland guy. The number one sponsor. Who was actually busted for illegal or illegal actions and you know there's a big sponsor of this of the News Hour play this Obit for ADM guy And the man who made Archer Daniels Midland into a food industry giant has died. Dwayne Andreas passed away Wednesday He took over ADM in 1970 and built a dominant position in everything from ethanol to corn syrup He stepped down in 1997 after a price-fixing scandal ADM was also a major underwriter of the NewsHour for years Dwayne Andreas was 98 years old Oh good, at least they said that

32:51 Yeah, they did have a disclaimer in there. But I've never seen anything like that where they do an OBIT for one of the underwriters who's not even currently... It wasn't been underwriting for the last 20 years. Obviously somebody at Archer Midland came and said you know what? You're going to gotta do this. Well John but I'll be fair if one of our producers passed away and this has in fact happened we've been asked to stop and say something We have! But we do it for all of them. We don't do it some selective guy." Well, this is true. We've only had one death in the family so far! We don't know how he'll respond to the next one

CHAPTER 12 / 46 Discussion

Breitbart News Allegations, White Supremacy Labeling

PBS commentators are criticized for labeling Breitbart News as a white supremacist and misogynist organization without providing evidence. Breitbart's reported plans to file lawsuits against major media companies for these characterizations are discussed. The distinction between Breitbart and extremist groups like Stormfront is emphasized.

breitbart news· steve bannon· pbs· white supremacy· lawsuit

33:29 Well, maybe we'll have to stop doing it. No I thought that was bad form but here's the one here's Douche on Breitbart Here is a guy who comes on and he always has two guys right? There are these two commentators Right So now they have these two guys and both of them are against the new administration And this one guy goes off on Breitbart being misogynist white supremacists has to back him off, which he does in such a wimpy way. You've got to listen to this. That sends a message, particularly in Europe right now where there's an arising tide of the right. One of those people who he has appointed Steve Bannon has already sent a message to the Le Pen team who is going to contend for the presidency of France next year extreme-right wingers and so he saying look we will help you were part of this rising tide at the right

34:38 actions are being taken, choices are being made and the consequences are serious. And we should say that the Breitbart News organization argues against the characterization that it's white supremacist but setting that aside Michael Pillsbury what about this argument already by his statements? You know I was um...I picked up a an article here that Breitbart News is planning on filing a lawsuit against the quote major media company. And you know, you're going to see this happen because if you're just calling people fake news and you put them on lists as fake news... I believe Breitbart is... Right! And you are calling it... Yeah. I've been reading Breitbart for years on and off. It does real reporting.

35:22 And I'd like to ask the, you know a member of in fact that couple of people that got assaulted by Lidowsky or whatever the guy's name is at Trump campaign. Yeah We were at Breitbart before they made such a fuss but when was it white supremacists? I've never noticed that in there They get this not Stormfront Do they have a clue? Stormfront There's a white supremacist group go there and misogynists What is them where's that coming from because they didn't like Hillary This is like, this is what we just witnessed on PBS News Hour was fake news. Yeah can I give you another one? And she didn't have the gall to say no no that's not right the way they're describing it oh no they're fake news, white supremacists Let me give you another piece of fake news because what I found myself doing was all these things that were just being said particularly about the Trump transition team then so of course there are three actual announcements of positions

CHAPTER 13 / 46 Discussion

Jeff Sessions Confirmation, Racism Allegations and Voting Rights

The media coverage of Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions is analyzed for inconsistencies. While NBC's Andrea Mitchell noted Sessions' past support for the Voting Rights Act, Democracy Now reported the opposite. Allegations from 1986 regarding Sessions' comments on the KKK and marijuana are scrutinized for accuracy and context.

jeff sessions· andrea mitchell· democracy now· voting rights act· kkk

36:18 And one of those is Senator Sessions. I don't know that much about and you know, certainly don't know much about the CIA guy but when I hear things like oh, okay, I'm gonna go investigate and see where does this come from? CNN actually kind of answered it for me. It's likely Sessions alleged racist comments in the past that cost him a federal judgeship Now of course the key is right off the bat saying alleged but that's not really been the way its explained Its like the guy he's a white supremacist And this is Sessions, he was just pulling it all out. And here's the so-called proof of this alleged white nationalism." It's likely Sessions' alleged racist comments in the past that cost him a federal judgeship will resurface during the confirmation hearing During his 1986 confirmation hearings colleagues testified He called the NAACP quote un-American and communist inspired

37:13 An African-American who had worked under Sessions testified that Sessions called him boy and joked about the KKK, saying he was okay with them until he learned that they smoked marijuana. This assertion is ludicrous! I detest the Klan! Very interesting they put that in there. I thought that this was something that there was actual evidence of, you know audio tape video tape No It's some guy who said well He called me boy and he said he made a joke about which of course can all be in context or not But it's very different from the ways being portrayed Well here listen to Andrea Mitchell do her thing on sessions This is NBC Andrea Mitchell on sessions

37:54 Then there's President-elect Trump's pick for Attorney General, veteran Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. A hardliner on immigration rejected by the Senate 30 years ago for a federal judgeship after accusations he had made racist comments I am not a racist! I am not insensitive to blacks! Decades later after Ferguson and Black Lives Matter tonight civil rights lawyers are speaking out He has demonstrated hostility towards our nation's civil rights and equality And that is cause for concern. But supporters pointed Sessions vote to extend the Voting Rights Act and to confirm Eric Holder Okay, now I want you to remember what she said at the end. Let's listen to it. Just the very end. The Voting Rights Act... hold on ...and that is cause for concern but supporters pointed sessions vote to extend the voting rights act and to confirm Eric Holder

38:48 Now, of course they do this the way they're presenting the news now. They blast blast blast and they throw a few things in at the end This is I want everyone to pay attention this way it's done. It's important You got last blast blast blast blast but he did also that you know He likes puppies very end so people come up as your well, you never said anything Well, no No We said it we set right there and says like that was that? Yeah here is Jeff sessions on democracy now now with it in mind that Andrea Mitchell mentioned that he did support the Voting Rights Act when it was as it was being thrown out. Now listen to this report back in the United States Donald Trump has chosen Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General sessions is a former prosecutor who was elected to the Senate and 1996 as an Alabama senator, he's consistently supported anti-immigration legislation

39:43 In 2010, he was a leading proponent of the efforts to repeal the 14th Amendment which grants citizenship to everyone born in the United States. Jeff Sessions has also been a vocal opponent of the Voting Rights Act. In 1986 President Ronald Reagan nominated Sessions for federal judgeship but he was denied confirmation because his history racist comments including reportedly saying he thought the Ku Klux Klan quote was okay until I found out they smoked pot unquote. Now, a couple of things one she she was the opposite of Andrea Mitchell about the Voting Rights Act. She said he was fighting against it so assuming NBC has more resources than Democracy NOW which is reads from a sheet from what i can tell and don't have they don't have any reporters out there

40:35 She's lying. Someone is so that's so that's fake news Yeah, the other thing was is that when she did she does this all the time and it really bugs me he supposedly said or she or he was reported to say or some of these crap about the Ku Klux Klan and then marijuana It's like a tub double hit You know, he hates the drug users and pot. And what happened? How can that be a direct quote when I saw the documents say marijuana because the report that I had had to copy full screen of what he allegedly said that was testified to and it said until they found out they smoked marijuana in quote she just said she does not

41:14 And she said, right unquote. She's always doing this quote unquote thing about alleged statements Yeah that wasn't even close to the alleged and it wasn't even accurate yeah this I would I would fake news Fake we need a fake news. You now should be on the list We need a fake news do we know what you know? We eat a list there you go a list of Okay, maybe it'd be easier to say who is not fake because this list is going to be too long. And all news has fake news or wrong news I mean the all-news and how do I know this? Once you've been interviewed a couple of times by... I don't know yeah The New York Times Wall Street Journal Financial Times have been interviewed by all of them they all get something wrong that's not necessarily because they're evil but you don't get it right

CHAPTER 14 / 46 Discussion

New Yorker Editor Claims, Obama and Trump Meeting

The editor of The New Yorker is criticized for claiming to have "shock and awe" insights into the private meeting between President Obama and Donald Trump. Despite admitting Obama would only speak off the record over a beer in the future, the editor proceeded to characterize Trump's behavior during the meeting, which is dismissed as speculative "fake news."

david remnick· barack obama· donald trump· cbs· white house

42:03 It's just how journalism works. It is not possible, at least in my view you don't get it right and you ask me and here is what I told you but still wrote down differently You could say that's fake news New Yorker magazine, here is the editor of the New Yorker I'm not sure. I think it was on with CBS that 90-minute meeting between President Obama and Donald Trump I think you're the closest to a fly in the wall as we can get okay So now we've heard all the news about this meeting although no one actually knows what happened in the meeting But this guy kind of says that he might have an idea sort of well fake What did you learn about what happened inside? That's right here that the president

42:45 In fact, I asked him about that naturally as any of you would and he said well... And he smiled and he said um.. over a beer off the record. Meaning for the moment now, certainly for the next couple of months he's playing it close to the vest but I do know about that meeting... Which means he didn't tell the guy anything! He didn't tell him. He said well i'll tell you over a beer which is a couple of months and then all of sudden launches into what I DO KNOW even though the president didn't tell him I'm going to assume Donald Trump didn't tell him I don't know who else was in the meeting who else was there to TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED? You do know about that meeting

43:21 is let's just say that Donald Trump did not show himself to be any more sophisticated about policy than he seemed to be in the debates or in the campaign. But that he was solicitous and that he was kind of in shock and awe, to coin a phrase... He didn't coin it! Hold on a second Yes, he no. He's not the coin of phrase means to coin a phrase not to steal a phrase Fake news fake Yeah, the phrase was already coined by Republican president as it was killing brown people in the sand About the responsibilities have actually being present and Obama said to him look this one is one thing I know and One thing that Obama has revealed

44:10 that governing is not the same as campaigning. Circus is over." Okay, so listen to this he says the one thing I know that the president has revealed Is that governing is not like campaigning Yeah! He said that publicly I don't recall the circuses over quote unquote No, I don't recall that either. I think he made that up Of course he made that up! Fake news This is one thing i know and one thing Obama has revealed Revealed? That governing isn't the same as campaigning Circuses over Circuses over Okay So it's all... All of this so called nominees Everything is fake news no-one knows anything I think another hit piece here from CNBC He's already making an impression here I know

CHAPTER 15 / 46 Discussion

BBC Russia Reports, Trumpophone and Cossack Honors

The BBC is mocked for reports on Russian enthusiasm for Donald Trump, including the sale of gold-plated "Trumpophones" and a village declaring him an honorary Cossack. The coverage is viewed as an attempt by British media to create ill will toward the incoming administration.

bbc· russia· vladimir putin· trumpophone· melania trump

45:01 Maybe British I forget which maybe Scott he's already making an impression here on sale in Moscow the Trumpophone gold-plated with his portrait Russian artists are painting him Russian politicians say what? John that's a BBC. Okay? Yeah, they're talking about how the Russians love Trump another fake news story Russian politicians posing as him And in the village of Casimova a rare honor indeed they've declared Donald an honorary Cossack But why? Because unlike most US presidents, Trump wants good relations with Russia says Cossack chief Andrei. And because he has a beautiful Slavic wife. Makes nothing but sense!

45:57 Yeah, that was BBC. He's a beautiful Slavic wife So I think the BBC is one to look at because I'm watching especially BBC America watching catty catty K or whatever her name is the One of the three women that hosts American version of the BBC News right and she's beside herself with distress Over this thing. Oh, this is the one yeah, yeah, I remember yep The British are very upset by this and so they're doing fake news to just slam him. I don't know what good it's going to do, uh i don't know what...I just don't get that we're what they expect to accomplish besides just create a lot of ill will but

CHAPTER 16 / 46 Discussion

Ministry of Truth, Browser Plugin Solutions

In response to the "fake news" panic, the idea of a government-sanctioned "Ministry of Truth" or journalist licensing is discussed. As an alternative to platform-level censorship by Facebook, the creation of user-controlled browser plugins is proposed. These "trigger plugins" would allow individuals to filter out content based on their own preferences or cognitive dissonance.

ministry of truth· browser plugins· net nanny· censorship· algorithms

46:38 We'll see. I've noticed it on the Twitters, they only did a few tweets on my newsletter this last one but it's still going on and you know I can name just various guys, lot of Hollywood types who are just completely nuts! They don't apparently have anything else to do but would do tweet after tweet after tweet after tweet lies they say about one thing or another now But let's just talk about the implications of this. As I said at the beginning of the show, I think this is what we've been waiting for. We knew this was coming this day and then this is how it's being ushered in as okay with...the fake news affected the election. Fake news is rampant as what this administration, the new incoming administration believes in fake news and so we are going to have to come up with a ministry of truth or ministry of truthiness maybe? Might even be better.

47:27 Licensing journalists is always a winner. That's right, licensing journalist podcast license of course we have podcastlicense.com which is good it'll be good for about three seconds when the actual regulations come down the pipeline that should be fun but here's what I don't understand with all the technologists and all the tech horny news shows and everybody is so freaking smart about oh we're gonna use algorithms in AI Doesn't it make infinitely more sense? And I think we should start one. We've already done this before, we did this years ago and we need to do it again but now we need to take a more serious approach if you're... I mean as serious an approach from us can come. Browser plugins! This is the way to do it If you have your bias your cognitive dissonance dissonance for all those who don't think I know how to pronounce it

48:19 You have your cognitive dissonance and you get together as a group, we'll call it the trigger plugin because of course we can't have fake news triggering you. And just whenever that... The browser plugin filters out the bullshit! You won't even see the links, you won't even see the story, it won't even appear in Google searches anywhere if there's any... We can just boot up by top-level domain, we can do it anyway we want And there's a lot of ways to do it. I'm reminded of net nanny, which apparently is what the public eats. It's a modern net nanny keeping these sites away from you so you don't read the fake news. You won't see Breitbart, the white supremacist site instead of Operation Paperclip its operation safety pin. There we go. Safety pins are right in the exact right

49:10 symbol. Yes, it's totally the right symbol net nanny yeah but but the thing is instead of you know everyone just waiting for Facebook and Google to do it This could even be a national... Look, if you're so triggered by all this stuff then we'll have the sanctioned government. Have a slider switch on your dashboard. Ooh! Slider switch? Yes! Like more fake less fake. Nice. I think you can have multiple slider switches. You know, I want a little bit of fake news. A little bit of porn advertising just a tad

CHAPTER 17 / 46 Discussion

Pentagon Wikipedia Plagiarism, James Clapper Testimony

During a House Intelligence Committee hearing, Representative Devin Nunes confronted Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work and DNI James Clapper regarding a report provided to Congress. Nunes revealed that significant portions of the justification for a multi-million dollar intelligence complex in the UK were plagiarized directly from Wikipedia. Clapper's evasive answers regarding the intelligence community's use of Wikipedia are highlighted.

james clapper· robert work· wikipedia· pentagon· devin nunes· plagiarism

49:49 I want a bunch of sliders. People love the sliders! Yeah, we need some sliders. That's fantastic. I do have the ultimate fake news story which i thought was just so beautiful in this this entire conversation about fake news. Because of course we know where the real fake news is, and then I know for multiple reasons mainly because a lot of what this outfit reports on me is fake news you can say false inaccurate but I prefer the term fakes since that seems to be what everyone uses and this was played out in it was a special Senate session

50:32 an oversight session, I believe with Representative Nunes along with multiple douches from the Pentagon including our friend Clapper before he quote-unquote resigned. Are you familiar with Wikipedia? The free online encyclopedia Yes, I am Mr. Clapper Generally Generally Generally, yes sir What an asshole! I'm sorry What kind of answer is that even? Yeah generally yeah generally Does the Department of Defense or the intelligence community edit Wikipedia pages on behalf of the US government? I really can't speak authoritatively on that. I know, I've personally have never edited a Wikipedia page

51:13 I don't know off the top of my head. Uh, I don't think so but i-I don't know He's always good at the hedge isn't he? Off the top of my head Just don't go any below it where I have the actual information Well he's gotta be more careful now than ever Oh he knows yeah because he's a liar! He lied to Congress! Okay off the top of my head I dunno... I don't think so but I don't know I don't think so is like this is the right answer That's what he should've did That's the answer he should have given when he perjured himself. Why didn't you just say, I can't recall? I mean that's what everyone does. I don't know. Mr. Work. I don't think so is a better answer. Okay. Knowledge whether or not it happens or not sir. Does the DOD or the IC use Wikipedia as an official source of information? I just don't know Congressman. I would have to look into that.

52:07 Offhand, another good one. Offhand! This guy... Oh man He had already checked out here and he's like I'm resigning tomorrow. I don't know. I know that the department and the IC community uses a lot of open source information. I don't whether or not Wikipedia is one of those open sources. Well Deputy Secretary Work on March 21st... Say what? Technically it's not open source. No, creative comments I know that the department and IC community uses a lot of open source information i don't know whether or not Wikipedia is one of those open sources well Deputy Secretary work on March 21st you

52:46 You and Director Clapper met with Chairman Thornberry, Chairman Frelinghuysen and myself to discuss the analysis required. There's the trap! Set it open by the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2016 regarding the Joint Intelligence Analysis Complex slated to be built at the Croughton Air Base in the UK Do you recall that meeting? I do indeed sir. Uh, Director Clapper, do you recall that meeting Yes, I do. Oh yeah sure of course there's something i remember yes okay we had a great time remember that? We're hanging out we had a nice lunch but good dinner at a little meeting you went to remember the hookers oh yeah i sure did that was great sorry charlie you just stepped into the trap You recall that meeting? Yes, I do Secretary Work you informed the committee that Department of Defense did not intend to fully reevaluate lower cost alternative sites for the intelligence center

53:39 As justification for your decision, you provided the committee with two documents regarding communications infrastructure supporting Lodge's field. in Portugal's Azores Islands. I'm going to ask the clerk to please distribute Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2, which includes one of the documents provided as justification for the Department's decision. Secretary Work are you aware that significant portions of this document that you passed two three committee chairman to meet a public law were plagiarized from Wikipedia. Well sir, I can state with certainty that i did not provide exhibit two. Oh start digging! I have never seen exhibit two and have no idea well I can now explain it. Exhibit 2

54:25 are the Wikipedia pages that were plagiarized for Exhibit 1 that you provided to meet public law. I see, no i did not know that uh the information... You want to hear more? It's still funny, I don't think he gets it yeah play a little more thinking about point document came from wikipedia okay so you can see basically all of the graphics in this what you provided us everything is highlighted that was all taken directly out of what we have an exhibit two to provide to three committee chairmen, to fulfill the national requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act. Well I'm just alarmed Secretary Work that we would rely on Wikipedia free online encyclopedia that's famously known for most high school students plagiarizing their homework and he would even...that the Department of Defense would even use Wikipedia a free online service to provide any information to Congress put in any report. And it goes on and on

55:21 So, there that's real fake news being used by our defense...our trillion dollar defense industry. Whoo-hoo! Unbelievable really to me and then I like this... It is unbelievable because they have the resources they have tons of people they have the resources to do it right so why don't they just go grab a Wikipedia page slap it together and give it to Congress until them eat it yeah I don't know beyond me all right before we take a break a little Ultraman I'm okay. Yeah, because of course we're still afraid you know we're very afraid afraid afraid of this time Oh just Racism misogyny horrible thing oh misogyny xenophobia xenophobia that one yeah well they seem to have dropped xenophobia which is bother which is bothering me because I was of the opinion that the word Xenophobe and xenophobia was going to be word-of-the-year

CHAPTER 18 / 46 Discussion

Oxford Word of the Year, Post-Truth and Xenophobia

Oxford Dictionaries selected "post-truth" as the 2016 Word of the Year. This choice is discussed alongside the frequent media use of "xenophobia" and "misogyny." The hosts express surprise that "xenophobia" did not win, given its sudden ubiquity in political discourse.

oxford dictionary· post-truth· xenophobia· stephen colbert· 2016

56:21 Because nobody's ever heard this word before. I mean, I have and you have but the public in large didn't know what it meant until they started... What did become the Word of the Year? Well it's not that year is still going. I thought I saw a news article about The Word Of The Year. Well maybe for two... well I would hope that they let the year finish before they had The Word Of The Year No, It was kind like the Oscars. Here Stephen Colbert goes off on Oxford's Oxford Dictionary's Word of the Year, and that came out... let me see what it says here. Post-truth!

56:59 All right. Post-truth is 2016's most important word according to Oxford... Well, that's actually the most important. I'd rather have them, you know, Merriam Webster, I think they do one of the...there's a couple of American dictionaries as opposed to Oxfords which usually have these popular words that became, you know, popular that year like selfie, I think was like last year or the year before stuff like that. Alright, well anyway so we still have to be very afraid because as you know the Trump people are just haters violent they're doing all kinds of horrible horrible things and Well, you know who the arbiters are of all things frightening. It is the ladies of The View This is America black people not going anywhere there not gonna be slaves anymore So take that out your head Is that your Whoopee As Americans are not going anywhere

CHAPTER 19 / 46 Discussion

The View Reactions, Royal Opposition and Fear

The hosts of "The View" are criticized for their emotional reactions to the election results. Whoopi Goldberg's anecdotes about "gay boys" being harassed and Joy Behar's call for a "royal opposition" (likely meaning loyal) are mocked. The segment highlights the perceived "false equivalency" regarding political violence and the fear surrounding Mike Pence's policies.

the view· whoopi goldberg· joy behar· mike pence· royal opposition

57:53 They're not going we're not going anywhere. I don't know why you don't get this part, but they're being harassed Yes, they all said they were going somewhere there all gonna leave the country No, they're not going anywhere and I'm going anyway a minute They promised to leave with that country if we voted in Trump We voted in Trump so they would leave it the country that was their idea In fact, that's why a lot of people voted Trump. I'm sure! I think that's the reason Trump won. I think she meant something else when she said we're gonna get out Get out of my vagina! She meant something else Oh okay... Going anywhere? I don't know why you don't get this part But they're being harassed We are all being harassed These people are being harassed Somebody i know A gay boy A friend of mine I love this Imagine anyone saying a friend of mine is gay

58:40 Come on people, since when is this okay? Why is the- He said gay boy?! Yeah listen! They're not going to we're not going anywhere. I don't know why you don't get this part, but they're being harassed We'll all be in her people are being harassed somebody. I know a gay boy a friend of mine How does that work? Get away with that You can say the gays But it's okay to say your friend is a friend of mine so I call him a gay boy come on You know that he is a LGBTQ plus community member and Who happens to be your friend? These people are outrageous.

59:25 We're all being harassed. These people are being harassed, somebody I know a gay boy A friend of mine put on Facebook that he was on 10th Avenue in New York the other day and some get a yeah I'm a Trump supporter. I mean this is happening in New York City now Well there's a research And I had a driver last night an Uber driver who was a Pakistani guy And he said that he's frightened What kind of country is this now? People better not sit back and just take it because they have all the power in the White House, in the Senate. In the House of Representatives The FBI is in their pocket We have to be the royal opposition in this country They are in Sean! They're royal opposition! Now did she say loyal? She said loyal Royal... no she says royal Yes she says royal

1:00:10 I'm telling you, she's...I watched the clip. I couldn't believe what she said. I mean, I'm not a liberal oppositionist. She was between words or something royal and loyal that had you have different mouth formings and it wasn't our raw. It was actually he was a Royale with cheese. I think is what she wanted in this country? That's why we're here for But I will say there was also, and by the way my optimism was just about the photo ops that bringing in going from here. That's my optimism but they're you know in fairness to there is a guy that was wearing Make America Great again hat on the subway and was totally beat up down in DC There was a woman. Yes it's a response you get. Yeah I know but I'm just saying this on both sides. Let's try this out how about royal as in R O I L

1:01:12 How about that? Royal opposition. Yeah, as in roiled up I can see Bayhart coming up with that no yeah i can't too yeah i'll take it wait a second hold on a second it did not start We're seeing incidents from anger on both sides. And that's why I think the onus is on our leaders to come out and say, please peacefully protest. That is your constitutional right. But no more violence. Violence? I agree never OK. I was waiting with all these protests. I thought Trump would come out and you know how we've all said it would help right now. The problem is his silence is letting his appointments speak for him. This is bull crap! Those...I'm amazed that he's not listening to the women of The View He has come out a number of times

1:02:03 The views not playing. He has to come out in front of Trump Tower and confront the protesters That's what she's talking about get rocked of the thrown rocks at the guy The violence is obvious you all do see all the riots going on it's not that I don't see any Trump riots go Oh, baby. No baby got a little bit less than this clip speak for him. That's right, and those are scary His appointments are scary I disagree that we're seeing it on both sides. I think too many people are saying that, i think there's this false equivalency you see protests and remember john before we get to the false equivalency remember yes they're afraid because when you just like the hamilton cast they're afraid of pence The gay boy a gay boy is afraid of pence Of course he is if he's been told That they want to depends specifically wants to take away his hiv

Personal Anecdotes, Terrorized Liberal Friends

A personal story describes a dinner with a "Hillbot" friend in Austin who was deeply offended by the show's content but open to discussion. The takeaway is that many people have been "terrorized" by a constant stream of negative media, leading to a state of perpetual fear. The podcast is framed as an "antidote" to this media-induced anxiety.

austin· florida· fear-mongering· information diet· terrorism

1:02:59 treatment funds and channel it towards conversion therapy, yeah you're just scared. Of course you are! Despite the fact there's no evidence of this. Correct, but I cannot discount the fear you know so here in Florida we have a nice little trip for us but of course Tina lived here for 16 years So i'm on display and it is cool that I took her to meet my family Is she having you strip naked and put a collar around your neck? Yeah! And I got like this tiger print on everything yeah its perfect Tiger print G-string

1:03:36 And she has friends who voted for Trump and she has friends who voted for Hillary. I would guess that the Hillary friends are more numerous? Well, we've only had two friend dinners so far tonight we have a third and then tomorrow night with Horowitz Well, I'll tell you what. What I found very interesting is her really super hillbot friend like massive super Jewish interestingly from New York who's lived here for 15-20 years

1:04:15 Because she looked at Tina and she went, well here's how the dinner started. This is better And I'd met her before but i've seen her Facebook and it was like you know every misogynist racist all of that's in there Every single thing we heard she's posting Xenophobia All of it And trying to keep it alive. Right? And I don't think she knew this because she was in Austin and we went out to dinner, but then she said well so we're sitting down at dinner while I listen to your show. It's all never good. Well, I listened to your show and well you know she said I really really liked the 30 cents on the dollar. You guys were talking about with Obamacare and how you could deal with the problems with that but there were other things...I just had to turn it off! I couldn't listen! So hey how are you doing? Would you like a drink before we have dinner?" But because of those things were so offensive that we said

1:05:15 the things we were saying were so offensive to her. But I will say, because of course she had met me before she didn't know what we talk about on the show and i can see where if you no matter who you are you can come in and think these guys are douchebags for x y... You could think about any because we offend equally or as equal as possible um yeah but because she knows you know she knows and loves Tina and beyond she had met me before and she was really open to listening, you know, to some points of view. And all I was trying to do is just say well these are the things that you've been told but the way your recounting them are not exactly the way it happened and she was rich...I have to say she was very open to listening but what got me at the end my conclusion, my takeaway and this is for all the friends who of course women but meeting their husbands too

1:06:07 They really are just afraid of violence and an evil world. And that's what...it's consistent, we just want people to be...we need to stop the killing and they're very afraid of the violence. I think that's what George Bush and Dick Cheney preyed upon. Yeah! to an extreme, especially with all those...oh remember the yellow alert and orange alert? And yeah. All the green there's never green because we're always under you know it's always dangerous always orange. Whereas as we know that if you look statistically we live in the safest world ever

1:06:46 Right. Ever! You're more likely to get hit by lightning than we have in certain bad happenings But our brains are, and mine is too, our brains are completely fried from the massive inputs of information of which a lot if not most is fake news So you know but that was the takeaway and actually when I heard that like you know...I get it I get it. You've been terrorized just absolutely. She's been terrorized now here's what's disappointing to me when you when i hear stories like this because we have a lot of producers and people that just listen and never help but we have a lot, and we get a lot of notes from many of them and they always talk about how the show is okay has a calming effect because we get this out of their system as best we can And It seems to me that people like her

1:07:35 probably prefer being terrorized because we're the antidote to that. We're not making it worse." Right, interesting, interesting... Yes! Wow I hadn't thought of it that way and she's obviously a very intelligent woman so its not like she said oh I want to be terrorized but there is something that some programming that's going on where we just seem to need more of it you hit an interesting point there Yeah, we need the endorphins for all I mean you remember when kids that when I was a kid The scariest thing for me was the Ouija board. You know not and have any of this other stuff All that good stuff so I want to pick this up in a moment um

CHAPTER 21 / 46 Discussion

Zika Virus Status, Swine Flu Comparisons

The World Health Organization's decision to downgrade the Zika virus status is discussed. The hosts claim they correctly identified Zika as a "phony balloon" used for funding purposes, similar to previous health scares like Swine Flu.

zika virus· world health organization· swine flu· fear-mongering· funding

1:08:28 But you just said, obviously it's so true. We are the antidote because we're not here to make it work. I think you're right. We have been talking about reality, but I don't think we've ever really been fear-mongering about anything. In fact... No! Just the opposite. We talk about how these things are like this swine flu was a big bunch of bullshit thing today will probably talk a little bit about how Zika has been pulled off the list. It's a phony balloon. We called that from the beginning is what it was and you actually broke down the billion dollars or 1.9 billion dollars exactly well with everybody everything but Zika

1:09:04 So we do try to be antidote and sometimes you know the antidote is sometimes nastier than then the venom itself, but wow philosophical with that I'd like to Thank you for your courage and say in the morning to you John C Here where the C stands for call him Grandpa Dvorak. And a morning to you Mr Adam Curry, also in the morning all ships and sea boots on the ground feet in the air subs in the water and all the dames and knights out there. In the morning to the chat room noagenda stream dot com everybody thank you doing a good job today handing all kinds of goodies to me that's very helpful this is how I like it to work says how it does work and thank you to Nick The Rat who brought us the artwork for episode 878

Executive Producer Donations, Knighting Ceremony

A segment dedicated to acknowledging high-tier donors and executive producers. Jason Simpson is knighted as "Sir Jason of Cascadia" for a $1,100.80 donation. Other significant contributors include Sir Olaf, a Bavarian brewer, and David Van Sunder. The "Value-for-Value" model is reinforced through these acknowledgments.

1:09:49 Oh, it was the No Agenda on the blackboard. Being erased! Being erased yes that's right yeah I was very subtle very good and is a good looking piece Dynamite thank you and Nick The Rat can do good work Yes he can do great work and we appreciate all of our artists doing noagendaartgenerator.com keep it coming please So we do have a few people to thank as executive producers. We've got three of those and four, and a couple of associate executive producers starting with Jason Simpson who came in with $1,100 and 18... $1100 and 80 cents from Seattle. Holy moly! What's the breakdown on that? I see the 880 but he just added like a trio of ones? Not sure. Nice

1:10:41 Half a dozen shows and I'm always only This is we need more people like Jason. Oh, man He's seen a half a dozen shows and he saw finally sold now He says half a dozen shows and in and I'm sold Making it drizzle from Seattle. I humbly request the title of sir Jason. He's an instant night Jason The triple three is make it rain, of course Making a drizzle. Yeah, I got it as the drizzling sir Jason of Cascadia Don keep but keep keeping hysterics in check and the people grant and keep the people grounded in reality Thank you, which is what we fantastic big-ass crime for you sir look forward to your ceremony. You've got karma Now Sir Nicholas Neff

1:11:28 Nafpliotis in Waukegan, Illinois didn't leave a note. Oh and I went look back and I found it I mean he does hey was knighted in September And he's certain Nikos of the American Midwest. I remember that mm-hmm I have nothing from him But he's got no note so we will just give him some karma. Thank you yes. Thank you so much You've got karma. He will also get that triple credit. Yeah, he would get a triple credit for $880 even though it's yeah 880 is what it is now if you pull all the have you pulled all the 880s because next show and be like hey man where are the eight 80s?

1:12:06 I have them put aside. Sir Olaf aka Walwo, guardian of the Bavarian beer brewers. He's our brewer in Munich which is München Deutschland and I'm sure, I'd just love to go over there just to drink. Go hang out with him and drink Pilsners all over the place at the different bars. Uh, I'm sure he knows exactly like our guy in uh or night in New Zealand who's like a major, major brewery but no agenda beer. Yeah, could use one of those now

1:12:44 Dear John and Adam, now it's time to celebrate my friend Sun's birthday with another 333 donation. Oscar will be 6 on November 24th and is looking forward to hearing his name on the Birthday section! And just heard it again. This is part of my duty as a dad to counterbalance the influence of mainstream media I was very surprised, as Quentin who is now in the third grade told me that the new president of United States is a bad man! There you go! Child abuse I'm telling you! Child abuse He was not upset but curious how this could happen You should just tell him because everybody wanted Hollywood celebrities to move out of the country That's right

1:13:24 He was not upset, but curious how this could happen. I learned the entire class was discussing US politics with my no agenda background. I was able to inject some new talking points into the conversation." Now thanks again for giving us our twice weekly dose of sanity and humor. Olaf Wulfel aka Sohwalwoe Garden of Bavarian Beer Brewers. Yes very nice we'll give him a karma as well he doesn't ask for any jingles so i hand it out for him you've got karma Another birthday here with Teresa Huxley to $333 parts unknown USA. It's my and my brother Jeff's birthday month. Oh, how could I not donate? My birthday checks to you all plus some by Florida Gators one with three field goals in three seconds on the clock. Can I get a Wii and karma? We it is

1:14:23 You've got karma. We go to associate executive producer David Van Sunder and he sent a note in, I think we'll have to go grab it then. Sunder let's do a quick search. He is no man put Vance under the sorry. It's just my natural singing ability No, it wasn't. Let me see... no I don't have any-I have old emails from him. I have one. Okay. Associate Executive Producer note that's like what i'm assuming that's it! I wanted to thank you both for the tremendous analysis over the past few years and especially during the past election some people aren't willing to hear the truth You met one so often people are not willing to say this. Stop stop she totally opened up

1:15:20 Some people aren't willing to hear the truth, so often people aren't willing to say the truth. Which is another problem. So thank you both for speaking the truth! So that us producers don't feel alone and crazy for not believing what the mainstream media is peddling. And that's all they really care about, peddling products for their advertisers. There ya go. Always have to remember that. My wife and I are going through a bit of politics over here trying to find a new location for our physical therapy clinic because the company that bought the building, we lease space and looks like they will be giving our space to someone else without allowing us to match the offer.

1:15:59 That's some sort of bigotry, I'm sure. People have to go in and out of there with wheelchairs. Let's sue them! We have a space that we're trying to get now that would be bigger and better but like i said the politics are what we're trying to overcome to show that we are the right people to have it be in this space And is not even about the money It's about the city Some new development in town or whether we would best serve the downtown Forget whether or not if we help people walk around who haven't walked in years or make seniors able to safely walk and enjoy their lives. Why would that matter? A little cynicism there, so since I've discovered what you can do to help out for now, I thought I would at least give you a little help by giving it... By stepping up the producer credit to give you something despite the politics that cost you some listeners which it did. Please keep doing what you're doing is appreciated no requests or anything he didn't have a second note which I'll open just to see if there's

1:16:54 He's in the Pacific always in Pacific Grove. That's interesting that's all I said in the second note, okay? Karma you've got karma Okay, we have another note sender anonymous. This is our last one by the way $200 don't have a big group today Sending a separate email as requested jingles if you could write it in here you could write it anyway nevermind You're too picky Gvi let me see if I can get this and they have to appeal Is just the anonymous?

1:17:36 Yeah, I have it here. So this was a donation on behalf of himself and his wife... Can i mention her name? I don't see this in the season. No, don't mention it. Yeah all right well she shows up in the birthday list but we won't be able to listen. Okay then mention it then! Anyway thanks for all you do and especially providing clarity and humor during this crazy election season my wife and I voted for third party candidates and sometimes felt like there was no escaping the political and media insanity of this election The NO Agenda Show really is a breath of fresh air And he has a little sequence here, which I don't have to mention to you because they already looked him up. So that is the land of unconfirmed videos We came we saw He died! Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah no no no no no no no no no no no no Intelligence work takes place within a strong legal framework. We operate under the rule of law and are accountable for it

1:18:42 In some countries, secret intelligence is used to control their people. In ours it only exists to protect their freedoms. Protect their freedoms. Protect their freedoms. Protect their freedoms. You've got karma. And there we go! I think for... he makes this point about keep us anonymous. I'm wondering whether you can use his wife's name at all? Call her out after a birthday. That's what I said, she knows who she is. Yes or no? It's all good and that is it isn't that's it That's a little group of executive associate executive producers for show 879 we got so 880 coming up on Thanksgiving will be working on Thanksgiving That'll be our super lucky show because 88 is like the major Chinese lucky numbers

CHAPTER 23 / 46 Discussion

Thanksgiving History, Cooking Tips Preview

A preview of the upcoming Thanksgiving episode is provided. John C. Dvorak promises to discuss the "bogus" history of the holiday, while the hosts plan to share cooking tips, specifically debating the safety and merits of stuffing a turkey.

thanksgiving· stuffing· cooking tips· holiday history· stovetop

1:19:31 and we hope that we get a nice turnout. And not only that, but as always every year on Thanksgiving John will be telling us the history of Thanksgiving the true history of Thanksgiving bogus history of either right the bogus holiday that it is and we will be giving you Thanksgiving cooking tips That's where you say, yeah. Yeah that's great. Think of one dish John just think of one dish everyone can make and wow there I mean my dish is always the same it's my fabulous stuffing

1:20:10 Which is just stove top, I just say i made it. It's the best. Oh yeah see I actually make a real stuffing and I actually stuff it in the bird uh which oh you're gonna die if you stuff it in the bird! Okay that is just a preview what you'll be hearing on the next show on Thursday remember us for then at Dvorak dot org slash n-a You may die if you put the stuffing in the bird but you won't if you propagate our formula Our formula is this we go out We hit people in the mouth. All right, I got a couple of things so i just wanted to hook into the post election analysis and that was great

CHAPTER 24 / 46 Discussion

Sidney Blumenthal Coup Claims, Dutch Television Interview

Sidney Blumenthal appeared on a Dutch news program and characterized the 2016 election results as a "coup d'etat" orchestrated by a cabal of FBI agents in New York linked to Rudy Giuliani. The hosts mock Blumenthal for making such extreme claims on obscure international broadcasts, unaware that global "producers" are monitoring.

sidney blumenthal· fbi· rudy giuliani· coup d'etat· netherlands

1:21:06 You know how people go on European news shows and they don't think anyone's watching, particularly if it's like some stupid small ass country that no one really knows much about. I know this is you. I don't what you got but this has always got...I've always been highly amused by this too. What was the last one? Do you think you can go overseas and could be in some obscure show and say what you want? Yeah! But The No Agenda Show has its producers globally So when you think, eh it's just those stupid Dutch and stupid Netherlands. Eh what do they know? I can say whatever i want! I'm Sidney Blumenthal damnit! I'm an important man! I can tell you what really went down why Hillary didn't win It was the result of a cabal right-wing agents of the FBI in the New York office

1:21:54 attached to Rudy Giuliani, who was a member of Trump's campaign. And I think it's not unfair to call it a coup, a coup even. Yeah. A coup d'etat. A coup d'etat John! It's fair to call it a coup. Holy crap this guy has his nerve. Yeah, it's a coup d'etat. So as a legal election that he calls a coup d'état because of the FBI one FBI office in New York Yeah, really with Rudy Giuliani. You know the coup Meister yeah Rudy Rudy is the rebel Meister That's we're gonna call him from now on Rudy Giuliani is the coup meister as he's involved He was all his fault so I can be couldn't get himself elected president if you so in on this sort of a thing There's just cabal Did he ran didn't eat

1:22:52 The Koo-Ka-Ball, yes he did! And the Koo-Ka-Ball didn't pay off? The Koo-Ka-Ball. Oh man I'm writing faster than I can speak Alright the Koo-Ka-Ball beautiful Well i have a little package of a couple of reasons why Hillary lost By the way you get a borderline clip of the day for that Thank you A great great catch by our producers thank you Just love that just love that what a douche Okay, so now I have a little package of a couple of the reasons why Hillary Clinton lost because it's not what are you okay? What was that that was an animal Are you squeezing little animals during the show again? No animal You know man Harry Reid agrees with With Sidney Blumenthal. It was all about the FBI James Comey in particular he did it and

CHAPTER 25 / 46 Discussion

Harry Reid on James Comey, Election Interference

Senator Harry Reid is featured in a clip blaming FBI Director James Comey for Hillary Clinton's election loss. Reid labels Comey a "Republican operative" and asserts that Clinton would have won easily if not for Comey's late-October letter to Congress regarding the email investigation.

harry reid· james comey· fbi· hillary clinton· republican operative

1:23:46 Hello James Comey play. Now it's easy to second guess what Hillary did I love Hillary Clinton, i'm sorry she lost, I did everything I could to help and you know I can go through a litany of things there is no question in my mind she would won this election without any problem if Comey had not been the Republican operative that he is. For example... Those are strong words, Senator! But I believe it He came out against what the Attorney General had recommended Against what common sense dictates He is the reason she lost the elections So you want one reason? That's it Comey can be fat and happy in his office there for seven more years after having thrown an election to Donald Trump If he feels good about that

1:24:34 That's nice. That's nice? Them's fighting words, Harry! Just nice... If he feels good about it I will- Well that's nice! Dang Here is a quick clip that has not really an explanation necessarily but it kind of ties into what I'm hearing from Tina's friends and I am pretty sure as I said women in general moms let's just put it that way Moms This is a CNN report and then we'll get into the actual reason that this took place regarding women. Nothing in Leonora... Wait, wait! You never finished your sentence What part? You said something I've noticed moms and then there was supposed to be some follow-up No no the women I said moms moms women slash moms Moms in particular What about them Oh they're afraid but they're afraid

CHAPTER 26 / 46 Discussion

Identity Politics, Fear in Liberal Communities

CNN reports on the emotional distress felt by women and minorities in liberal enclaves like Los Angeles following the election. A student at UCLA describes the "scary" reality of being a black Muslim woman in America, highlighting the disconnect between the "bubble" of Southern California and the rest of the country.

cnn· ucla· identity politics· muslim· los angeles

1:25:29 And this loss of, I'm sorry you're right there's a lot of sequence. Hillary's loss has put them into the state of fear! Nothing in Leonora Pitta's routine in her liberal community in Los Angeles has changed since the presidential election yet everything has. Why is this so personal for you? Children matter to me and our minorities matter to me because they are my friends and they are my community And I want to make sure that they're okay and they don't feel okay. They feel really scared." If 2016 was identity politics, women across social media feel theirs is under attack in Clinton's loss. Video messages from Miley Cyrus.

1:26:13 Please just treat people with love and treat people with compassion. Emotion is spilled onto the streets of Los Angeles, mothers carrying signs and children students walking out of classrooms at UCLA These UCLA students supported Hillary Clinton When you say you have fear in you what do you mean? Well I'm a woman, I'm black, I'm Muslim And those three factors Basically, being a black Muslim woman in America today is very scary. And Trump being elected just further builds on to my fear I've had to wake up to the reality that a lot of America is not like what Los Angeles is like No kidding More than week on West Coast women are still learning about their new national reality It just doesn't look like any reality they believed they were living Right! You're not in that reality Absolutely right That's completely spot-on

CHAPTER 27 / 46 Discussion

Internalized Misogyny Theory, Clinton Campaign Analysis

Jess McIntosh, a Clinton campaign communications chief, suggests that "internalized misogyny" among white women contributed to Hillary Clinton's loss. The theory posits that society, including women, reacts poorly to women seeking power. This is contrasted with the campaign's failed "demographic bet" that women would vote as a monolith for a female candidate.

jess mcintosh· hillary clinton· misogyny· white women· demographic bet

1:27:08 You're in a bubble. It's a bubble. Yes, and of course California is above all it Southern California where Trump won in one county alone accounts for most of Hillary's popular vote victory over a million votes above Trump's votes. Mm-hmm. It's a complete bubble down there and it's a bubble most of the state Here's the kicker. As we listen to yet another analysis, but this is from Clinton's campaign communications chief Jess McIntosh She is going to tell us what she and I will just surmise that even though Hillary Clinton has said it was Comey, and there's a lot of comey out there and a lot of racism blah blah blah But listen to her analysis And why she thinks well it basically didn't work trying to go after fearful women my understanding from my conversations with the Clinton folks right? Is that there's a certain demographic

1:28:04 Everyone sort of comes right demographic path to victory sure and in some ways the demographic bet was there's gonna be some demographics on which she underperforms mm-hmm that we made up for ones in which she over performs and one of those was Women particularly Republican women white women We should be clear women of color overwhelmingly voted for her and have overall only voted for every Democratic presidential candidate but she among white women didn't do any different than essentially Obama in 2012, a point better? Yeah. How do you make sense of that? Internalized misogyny is the real thing and this is the thing we have to be talking about as— Now listen now listen what she's saying internalize misogyny What I... And it plays out and becomes clear that I think I'm right at what she's saying She's saying women have internalized misogyny

1:28:55 And that's why they didn't turn out in huge numbers for Hillary, in fact only according to their numbers MSNBC 1% higher than President Obama. I find this very interesting. Internalized misogyny is a real thing, and this is a thing that we have to be talking about as we go through and see— What does that mean though? My guess is — look the president said it the best during this whole campaign. We as a society react poorly to women seeking positions of power. We are uncomfortable by it, and then we seek to justify that uncomfortable feeling because it can't possibly be because we don't want to see a woman in that position of power

1:29:31 I find this fascinating. So she is saying women actually delivered the loss? With internalized misogyny, which her examples are we feel women really shouldn't be leading. Women! Women not we women who I presume were Democrats or I don't know you know but just all women in general

1:30:16 That's some pretty deep stuff right there. It is not as though that the women voted 90% for Trump, no I mean they actually expected this...I think this is a projection of an expectation The Democrats literally expected women to vote for a woman because she's a woman and they point back at Barack Obama and the black population voted 93% lockstep for Barack Obama because they're black, he's black. Oh we need a black guy! I'm voting Black because he is black. No no you know why they voted for President Obama? Because black lives matter. See not all lives matter women's lives don't matter Back to the point They expected this similar turnout for women for a woman

1:31:10 But the women, not being idiots voted like they normally vote. They voted for this person or that person and it turned out that they voted mostly for Trump. Exactly now just to wrap this up... It wasn't overwhelming for Trump it was just a majority. It wasn't the number they wanted. That's what I want to say. Well they didn't want anybody voting for Trump right? Right! Now just to wrap it up.... If you're a woman why would you vote for Trump he's a man?! Penis evil penis Last night we had dinner with another one of Tina's friends, also Jewish. And she and her husband voted for Trump

CHAPTER 28 / 46 Discussion

Media Information Diets, Fox News vs. Social Media

The difference in emotional states between Trump and Clinton supporters is attributed to their "information diets." While Fox News viewers were informed of the "evils" of the Clinton empire, they were not subjected to the same "terror" narratives found in liberal social media bubbles. The obsessive nature of political tweeting among Hollywood figures is noted as unhealthy.

fox news· social media· twitter· bubbles· information diet

1:31:47 And as I'm trying to just, and man she's happy. She even went through some medical crap recently so she had all reason to be not happy or you know but she'd just be a fantastic is feeling great, happy shiny her kids are very successful because they're optimistic in fact they're like 65 a little bit older but I'm convinced Because these are Republicans. I'm convinced the reason why is because, and then I'm not advocating this at all quite the opposite because there's a lot of things wrong with it but i'm convinced that they have watched more Fox News and have received information about the evils of the Clinton empire and Bill Inc

1:32:37 But they haven't been traumatized with fear because I watch it all. You watch it too, John! Fox News was just not throwing the terror of your children and black people and Muslims and all that... They were not ginning up this fear. I can't pin it on anything else It's the information diet And it doesn't mean is right Well, I would say you're not giving enough credit to social media I think a lot of the fear, and it's who you follow. The social media has...and I would say, I know this has happened on Facebook but even though we don't use it but the way it's been on Twitter is at some point you start to gravitate toward people that don't annoy you and so you end up in a huge bubble because I'd like to get into the other bubbles as much as I can then I started clicking on all these different people that are in that bubble and all you hear is hate

1:33:31 I mean, it's not healthy but you hear just so much hate us and as a lot of this coming out of Hollywood people which is very depressing because these Hollywood people they're just beside themselves. And this is like a bubble within a bubble within a bubble and you get into one of those little bubbles where you can do it on Twitter then you can follow up... You go through the streams that other people all their tweets for less It's month. Yeah, and you just like holy crap this person is insane And then you go to somebody else and you do the same thing here in there, and you find it Huh I had no idea that this guy You know was just nutty about this There are a few sane people who have stayed off of this but for the most part when you go on one of these little tweet I'd say binges recon so recon missions

CHAPTER 29 / 46 Discussion

Facebook Post Analysis, Emotional Bereavement Anecdote

A lengthy Facebook post from a woman in Austin is read, detailing her extreme grief over her gay neighbors voting for Trump. The post connects the election results to her mother's illegal abortion in 1967 and her ancestors' experiences during the Holocaust. The hosts analyze the post as an example of the deep emotional distress prevalent in certain social circles.

1:34:19 You go and you look at it's tweet after tweet after tweet after tweet. There is nothing else! Is there no tweets about, hey I saw cool car Oh look at this This is the funny news story about a duck that has a friend pet cat You know this sort of thing which is all over the place No, no It's Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Tweet Tweet Tweet It's like holy...you guys need to get some psychiatric help or something Your obsessing When Adam needs to make an example of some typical slaves He just reads the comments on their facebag page Gonna read facebag, gonna lose some brain cells Gonna read facebag... I think now is appropriate to read the FaceBag post that i didn't get to on Thursday. All ears So this from a woman in Austin who I know Tonight is our- Stop! Stop it

1:35:21 Tonight as I was driving home from the pool, my thoughts turned to my neighbors. A gay couple who just celebrated their 25th anniversary together a few months ago No this is not going where you think They told me several months ago they were voting for Trump I know... How? Successful white gay men beautiful home good lives how could this monster speak to them? I've been in pain over this relationship and my friendship. I genuinely love these guys! Yesterday evening when walking Stella, I saw the older one outside their house. They live just up the street from me and...I normally run over and say hello but..." I turned my back in pain. Hoped he did not see me and went quickly in front vestibule of my home. What the fuck says vestibule? Tonight, my thoughts turned again to these friends

1:36:11 I don't hate them, I just don't know how ever look at them. Knowing that they are part of and the horrid damage unfolding What will happen in that moment when they ring my bell or call? And tears came flowing from my eyes! I thought about my mother who had to have an illegal abortion in 1967 To save her life on the fifth month of pregnancy and I gasped through my tears... I'm so sorry mom we really tried.. I thought about three beautiful nieces who I hope someday When their ready will be mothers What if that control is taken from them? What if they go through what their grandmother did and have a dangerous pregnancy, what will their options be? Will their options be criminalized? Will they have to have a funeral for a stillborn fetus? Will they have to risk their lives and their freedom and do what their grandmother did all these unbearably sad thoughts.

1:37:02 I thought of my ancestors in Eastern Europe, murdered by Nazis. I thought of my cousins living in orphanages through the bravery of those who were part of the resistance and saved them during the Kindertransport. Taking them away from their home in Austria secretively to live without ever seeing their parents again... First in the homes of strangers and in orphanages in England then finally as immigrants in United States And I thought again about my neighbors! What if someone harms them because they are gay? The floodgates of sadness, fear concern and anger. I am bereft with grief the knowledge that at my age i will be a soldier and perhaps not live again to see the democracy I love so dearly heal itself and once again embrace kindness and equality makes me... So...so...sad There you go Why would somebody post that? She's sad

CHAPTER 30 / 46 Discussion

Jon Stewart Interview, Trump Voters as Monolith

Jon Stewart appeared on CBS to discuss the election, arguing against the liberal tendency to view all Trump voters as a "monolith" of racism. He notes that many people he respects voted for Trump due to concerns over insurance premiums rather than hatred of minorities.

jon stewart· charlie rose· cbs· monolith· insurance premiums

1:37:54 Well, fine. She needs to share her sadness I understand what she's doing and I'm not taking her reality away from at all but damn it's different from mine yes I would say yeah very different well but okay so then i think to wrap it up for me for today for all of this we have other stuff to get to finally there was an interview with ground zero himself no not John Oliver no no John Stewart John Stewart, who I believe is the influencer in a lot of the sanctimonious smugness that we see on television about opposing views to the globalists. He has properly trained Samantha Bee who has her own show, of course. Properly trained John Oliver and then of course also trained Stephen Colbert although he hasn't done that very properly because Colbert is just not able to do it when he's not in his Republican character

1:38:56 So Charlie over there at the CBS Morning News interviewed John and he had a couple of interesting things to say and also a vision about the United States, which I'd like to discuss with you. So we'll start off... so here is Jon Stewart very surprised about... well just surprising answers about the outcome of the election. I thought Donald Trump disqualified himself at numerous points but there is now this idea that Anyone who voted for him has to be defined by the worst of his rhetoric. Like, there are guys in my neighborhood that I love and respect that have incredible qualities who are not afraid of Mexicans or Muslims or blacks they're afraid of their insurance premiums In the liberal community you hate this idea of creating people as a monolith Don't look at Muslims as a monolith They would be individuals with ignorance

1:39:52 But everybody who voted for Trump is a monolith. I like that he says that, you know? Everyone who voted for Trump but you can't call them monoliths if you don't want other people to call Muslims as a monolith is a racist. That hypocrisy... I don't know what this disqualified thing is though. Well, I don't think he's saying that this in particularly is disqualifying but then comes this bit about- What is disqualifying according the Constitution Turns out that he's only 32. Well, that would be disqualifying Yeah Okay I mean if you if you want to go back To five shows ago when we were talking about what disqualifying means We can or no one or we could keep playing? I just find screwy yeah, we can power power through it He is also real in our country And so this is the fight that we wage against ourselves and each other because America is not natural Natural as tribal

CHAPTER 31 / 46 Discussion

Jon Stewart on American Exceptionalism, Multicultural Democracy

Jon Stewart's assertion that America is a "multicultural democracy" by its founding and constitution is challenged. The hosts point out that the United States is a Republic, not a democracy. Stewart's views are linked to the "Party for Socialism and Liberation" and other Marxist-Leninist groups seen at recent protests.

jon stewart· constitution· republic· socialism· marxism

1:40:44 We're fighting against thousands of years of human behavior in history to create something that no one's ever... That's what exceptional about America and that's what's like, this ain't easy. It's an incredible thing." So this is where he lost me And this is a two-part clip really but the first part of him saying America is not natural because the natural world is tribal and therefore we are doing in America just fantastic thing Do you understand what he's talking about? Okay. Do you understand what this is? No, not really I think it's just a kind of swinging it and this is what he comes out with okay well So now of course we need to go into as we know What does he really mean and his answer comes up Or the answer comes up in him answering a different question that was about a question That wasn't asked Donald Trump is a reaction not just at Democrats to Republicans He's not a Republican

1:41:39 He's a repudiation of Republicans, but they will reap the benefit of his victory in all their cynicism. And I will guarantee you that Republicans are going to come to Jesus now about the power of government." One thing that struck me as odd about this election and maybe I just missed it was nobody asked Donald Trump what makes America great? Did we hear anyone ask that question? What makes America great I don't know. He may, somebody may have asked somebody may not have asked? I haven't heard it for sure but now we're going to find out what Jon Stewart thinks makes America great and that was the part that I... What are his... He wants to make America great again nobody said to him well what is it that makes America great yeah including you Charlie news guy correct what do you think you want to do what is there were not doing them what are the metrics because it seems like from listening to

1:42:35 The metrics are that it's a competition. But I think you're the same, John. Is well...you know? You got to work hard America, I think disadvantages everyone equally but if you can figure it out and you could make it through, we could power through it, you can be just as successful as that guy. The rabbi, the preacher, the professor, the president, the businessman. That is

1:43:17 That's a little different than he's thinking I guess we're number one. I think what many would say is what makes us great is America is an anomaly in the world here we go there are a lot of people and I think His candidacy has animated that thought, that a multi-ethnic democracy, a multicultural democracy is impossible. And that is what America by its founding and constitutionally is like every other state... And it's becoming more and more. Wow! Now we understand why he comes up with doesn't qualify He doesn't understand what we are. He thinks America is a multicultural democracy

1:43:58 Where's that say in the Constitution? We're a republic to start off with. This is the problem! Right, we're a republic, we're not a democracy so that's a big deal Yeah, that's a big deal! Huh And you need to pull in the Constitution But just listen what... it's his interpretation of multi-ethnic democracy A multicultural democracy is impossible And that is what America by its founding and constitutionally is. Like every other state... And it's becoming more and more By its founding constitutionally, that's what we are! Wow Did they print a new version of that thing and what's the deal? I don't know. I don't know how he comes up with this, I mean how is it even possible you think this way? That's crazy! But this then doesn't surprise me when if you look at... there are still a lot of protests going on They're not as big as they may seem possibly

1:44:48 But, have you looked at the signs? What are you pointing out? Oh I'm sorry. The actual signs that printed signs that i'm seeing are for the party for socialism and liberation these... Yeah there's a lot of answer stuff too! Yeah and this is they have a wikipedia page now know it's all fake news but You know, they specifically state domestic policy the PSL's primary objective is to form a revolutionary workers party based in Marxism and Leninism. Hello? So is that where Jon Stewart coming from? Is that how he interprets the Constitution? I've always felt Jon Stewart was a socialist who would be of the ilk...that would all-in on that stuff. Well Stewart with his beard and I don't have had the beard on when you saw me looks like Marx

1:45:36 I saw a lot of signs from answera.n, you know these guys it's the world workers party they're out in New York City. Yeah that's it the World Workers Party thats exactly who is they also behind the party for social and liberation your right yeah its front organization have a lot of sites are all interconnected now troublemakers anyway I'm just baffled by John Stewart calling the multicultural democracy, something that is our founding fathers put into place in the Constitution. That to me is really...and where's Charlie Rose on this? He's just listening I think he has the time and doesn't pay attention. Man! How poor have we become culturally in the United States of Gitmo Nation how poor are we really when you remember that I love Lucy what was I love Lucy like late 50s

CHAPTER 32 / 46 Discussion

Cultural Shifts, I Love Lucy and Fresh Off the Boat

A comparison is made between the cultural climate of the 1950s and today. It is argued that a show like "I Love Lucy" would face boycotts today due to its dynamics, while modern shows like "Fresh Off the Boat" face criticism despite their comedic value.

i love lucy· fresh off the boat· boycott· television· culture

1:46:32 Mid 50s and on. Hey Fred and Ethel. And then at the club he's like, oh, but it was an inspiration like this guy can make it in America. And then Lucio Ball she ran the freaking studio a woman, a woman she had the pants on. Yeah. Did she pay play a ditz? Yeah. But it was also there was something she had power over Ricky that could you even put that on TV today I betcha they would be protests and advertisers will get shafted and they would have to take it off the air

1:47:18 Boycott the advertisers for I Love Lucy. I guarantee you that would happen. There's a show on called Just Off The Boat Which it highlights a Vietnamese or some Southeast Asian culture? Yeah, which I think is one of the funniest shows on TV and they're trying to get that removed. You know I watched that Tina And I watched out the other night and it's funny But but I really don't get all the jokes because just cultural stuff. I just don't understand you know It was like okay, and someone's funny, but they're trying to get it remove for this very reason yeah alright next

CHAPTER 33 / 46 Discussion

CHAPTER 35 / 46 Discussion

WHO Zika Emergency Lifted, Funding and Winter

The World Health Organization has officially lifted the international health emergency status for the Zika virus. The hosts suggest the timing is related to the $1.9 billion in funding already being secured and the onset of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, which naturally kills off mosquito populations.

zika virus· world health organization· nih· funding· mosquitoes

1:56:06 Oh, I forgot about the Zika jingle. Yeah... Zika zika zika! I think it is. Zika zika zika zika. Where's the money? Is that it? Yeah where's the money? Hold on. Small heads are coming. I'm sorry we're on remote here so its always a little tougher to get everything going. Oh yeah. May I have your attention please? Yes you may. Oh Zika! Oh Zika! Zika zika zika zika! Little baby with a little bitty head With a baby with a small head They're gonna have to make a little head You watch Zika, zika, zika, zika, zika. Yeah! Where's the money? Okay that's right it's time for a Zika update we've been tracking it since Zika was Ebola That's how long we've been on top of this story Yep

1:56:47 And here's the story. Here is the story... The World Health Organization says it no longer considers the Zika virus an international health emergency, but some health experts worry that lifting up the emergency label could slow support for Zika research while the virus is continuing to cause new infections. The UN Health Agency is stressing that there is still a need for a long-term plan to tackle Zika Oh man. They got their money! But it sounds like the researchers didn't get their money? Do you read the list of where the money's going, there was very little money for research. No no no no... There was several hundred million dollars that were going to the National Institute of Health who dole out grants for the research I have a feeling they didn't get their money

1:57:33 I wouldn't surprise me. Everybody listen, because listen to that last bit of the report That's a great job love this whole almost continuing to cause new infections The UN Health Agency is stressing that there is still in need for long-term plan. No, it was not It wasn't the beginning I guess let me see the World Health Organization says they no longer care considers the Zika virus an international health emergency, but some health experts worry that lifting the emergency label could slow support for Zika research while the virus is continuing to spread. Yeah I'm telling you everyone else got paid and NIH is like well hold on a second... What changed? That makes us less of an... You know what's causing it? I know what changed! I am here in ground zero of change

1:58:19 It's winter. Mosquitoes are dead. The World Health Organization, it's winter here in summer in Brazil where the problem evolved! We don't care about Brazil. Apparently not! You know, it's interesting because We were with the multiple people we met. I know, I crack my Zika joke from time to time which have now changed Ebola because it wasn't going over too well but again in New York and I caught Zika and that you know they're not laughing here. I wonder why? They are losing their sense of humor down there in Florida. It's for real!

1:58:57 Well, I'm gonna have to look into it. I have a feeling...I really do have a feeling that they uh..that you know that some part of the money went through. Honestly, I didn't have time to look it up but I will I promise Let's round it out everybody because you know Zika zika zika zika yeah Where is the money? 1.9 billion dollars Zika zika zika zika yeah Where is the money? I love the chat room Small heads are coming Silver says Tina are you really sure about this guy? Thanks chat room. Oh yes, so nice! Let's see what I have... oh yeah our buddy Nigel Farage was on the telly

CHAPTER 36 / 46 Discussion

Nigel Farage on Brexit, Advisory Referendums

Nigel Farage discusses the potential for a "do-over" of the Brexit vote, noting that the ruling elite in Europe often ignore or repeat referendums until they get the desired result. The role of the House of Lords in delaying the process and Theresa May's potential "bluffing" are examined.

nigel farage· brexit· theresa may· house of lords· referendum

1:59:41 And he was talking about the Brexit and of course, the referendum. And we have obviously called for a do-over and there's one other guest... This is that woman you'll hear talking she's the one that we played a clip before who with her own money, she protested Brexit. What's your name again? Jill or something or Mills can't remember her name. And, you know they're very quick to point out that this is only advisory. And I think this clip kind of shows that we are headed in breakneck speed structurally, towards a do-over of the vote. And it's nice because Farage kind of rounds up the reasons why we're suspicious of this as well. Don't forget I've been in the European Parliament for years so i've seen this happen all over Europe. I have seen The Danes forced to vote again The Irish forced to vote again The Dutch and French ignored There is a political and wealthy ruling elite who are not prepared to accept the democratic result of referendums Do you want a country where we have no process

2:00:41 where everything we do in life being a buying house. It's called a referendum, we've had a referendum! If Parliament wanted to the Referendum Act would not have said it was advisory The politicians lied all the way through because they didn't say that I take the advisory point and I would now wish to see constitutional change to make referendums binding And that then would end this argument and there'd be no need for this case. Do you think there now needs to be another general election? If Brexit is sort of stuck inside the House of Commons, in the House of Lords we haven't even talked about the Lords for a while do you think there needs to be another general election? Yes I think that if Parliament was to effectively try mandate the Prime Minister to keep us inside the single market

2:01:21 I don't think Theresa May would have any choice but to go to the country for a spring general election and she could do so on a very clear ticket, win a big majority. The House of Lords problem? You know there are 104 Liberal Democrat life peers who appear to be pledged to delaying the process as much as possible... And conservative peers as well! Yeah this could be the end of the House of Lords Oh that seems a bit extreme but Well that's been talked about. Oh yeah? That's been talked about all the time, I say over the last two years i've noticed these little reports about getting rid of the house of lords and it's like a bullcrap operation anyway they don't really have any influence

2:02:01 designer, pass laws. They're just a... They're mumblers and they're back bench mumblers but it seems like everyone's just going to move towards hey you know it says it's just advisory so we're gonna say nope no Brexit and then there would be another election which I think is also possible yes I think so and everything a lot of people get booted out how about Theresa May Well, she looks like the problem with her is that she's selling the idea that oh yeah no we're gonna do it. The people have made themselves clear and were going to do it so she's bluffing even though I think she's dead set against the Brexit and she was not for Brexit but to begin with

2:02:50 But she is now, supposedly. I think she's just a bluffer but i think she can bluff her way back into her position because she keeps saying that she wants to initiate the Brexit. I think she's doing that on purpose. I think the whole thing is a giant... Well, we both agreed on this awhile ago it was a scam and the do-over was a done deal. The do over is almost inevitable yeah Yeah because nobody wants any of this stuff to go on This is the one world government throwing its weight around In the meantime... Stop squeezing that animal's neck! in the meantime there's some nefarious stuff going on We've certainly looked at this for the past few months about

CHAPTER 37 / 46 Discussion

UK Snoopers Charter, Investigatory Powers Bill

The UK's "Snoopers Charter" (Investigatory Powers Bill) has passed the House of Lords. The bill allows authorities to access internet metadata and location data without individual warrants. A comparison is made to a 20-year-old Interpol system that could already map social networks based on phone records.

snoopers charter· united kingdom· privacy· metadata· interpol

2:03:34 The Snoopers Charter, this is now the new normal for the United Kingdom of Gitmo Nation over there. Gitmo Nation East This is what you're dealing with and you thought it was bad here mm-hmm government's investigatory powers bill the so called snoopers charter Which sets out what security services can find out about people's internet activity will become law within weeks yesterday It passed through the House of Lords meaning. It just needs a royal assent before it comes into force well Let's have a look at some of the powers it sets out they will be able to ask internet providers to help them hack into computers and phones but only after getting a warrant first. Internet companies will also have to keep your search metadata for a year and hand it on to authorities on request, again a warrant will have to be issued first. And those warrants have to be signed by the Home Secretary and an independent judicial commissioner, the double log. Well Jim Killock is Executive Director at Open Rights Group which opposed is opposed to the new legislation what's wrong with

2:04:36 this film? Well, let's just make one correction on what you—the bit you just did. You mentioned about warrants, the very big warrants for kind of bulk interception and for getting the content of information about terrorists and so on. That is—has this double lock, the home secretary and judge, the judge having weaker powers in that relationship. But the sort of general data about your phone records and so on That doesn't get any of this warranty. It's just simply the police saying to other police officers, yes you may have this information and then they go to the companies and get it but in fact now they will go through a machine which delivers it so that companies won't even interact. The company's databases will simply be queried by police officers and their results would go to the police. And that is pretty shocking I mean basically means no independent authorization whatsoever.

2:05:33 In terms of what they can glean from that information, I mean the Prime Minister has said well it's just the modern-day equivalent of an itemised phone bill. They might be able to see that you've been looking at Facebook for example but they can't see the content of the chat that you might have been having and Theresa May says privacy is hardwired into this bill Yeah i think that's a sort of nonsense representation Do you think what it means to have your mobile phone location data for instance? That tells you where somebody is all of the time Your call records, the people you communicate with online that tells you about their innermost thoughts. It's like a reading list so what this does is it tells you who knows who where they meet and roughly speaking what they think and to say that that is okay but that's not an intrusion into people's privacy and its not that important and police should just be able to search that get results

2:06:27 I think that's really misrepresenting what's going on here. I can't see what's wrong with all that, this seems perfectly normal to me. To me it still sounds like...I don't know, 20 years ago I was in England and I used to write for PC Magazine UK and they had a big meeting and this is 20 years And we had a big meeting in some castle out in the middle of nowhere. When there was money abound? When there was money, yeah. Tons of money man! Oh good times, good times... We had all these presentations it was like an editor's day and we had all these presentations that we had a presentation by Interpol Cool

2:07:14 And Interpol showed us a system that allowed them to track who people were calling. It was a phone tracking system, very similar to what we keep hearing about in fact very similar with this guy's talking about and it did show and they showed us a ring like a circle of people who was calling who with arrows everything pointing to each other and then they could say they could find the leader of a gang based on... Now just for my edification Was this what they have like a threat map of this or my pew-pew? And you saw things shooting back and forth and the rings all high was it wasn't drawing like a PowerPoint or like an overlay You know, it was actually a raster graphics. Oh screenshot. And he had that Raster Graphics look, and it was just circling the show and he said we can tell this guy is the leader of this mob and this guy here is his right hand man and here's how we can do that because these guys call him and he calls him. They had this thing and this was like 20 years ago so every time somebody brings up the same story about some new idea...this has been going on for a long time

CHAPTER 38 / 46 Discussion

Chris Hansen Crime Watch, Jeff Sokol Case

Chris Hansen's new show "Crime Watch" is discussed, specifically his "puker" delivery style. A clip featuring the "pizza chomping suspect" Jeff Sokol is played, highlighting Hansen's dramatic and somewhat self-important hosting style.

chris hansen· catch a predator· crime watch· jeff sokol· indigestion

2:08:15 I think people are being misled. This is fake news! Ah, there you go. That's right it's fake news and now back to real news Well, you know Chris Hansen remember the guy who used to do Catch a Predator? Yeah So i'm watching one of the obscure stations that has like the worst kind of syndicated shows And apparently over the last couple years Chris Hansen has been doing a show called Crime Watch or something like that and just It's because they showed a piece of it and it's catch your predator. They get some poor dumb schmuck that comes into somebody's house and he comes out of a closet and says, what are you doing here? What are you doing here with that 15 year old girl? Yeah. What are you doing here with that 15 year old girl

2:09:00 So meanwhile, but the guy has like aged a million years. I still don't understand why we don't have electrocutions on TV and it's just as uncomfortable to watch. I think it would be great so I was watching this just this is just a promo because The guy has become full of himself and he's doing a Tom Brokaw type of delivery. It's exactly Tom Brokaw's delivery, and then he kind of misses the beautiful... At least a couple letters out on all his things that he sells. And so he, but it's the way he ends this. This little ditty you're going to just die because he's a puker too. Oh puker! Oh fabulous

2:09:47 I've busted hundreds of people throughout the years and one thing remains constant. These guys think of new and different ways to creep me out Case in point Jeff Sokol unfortunately for him this pizza chomping suspect is about to get a bad case of indigestion courtesy of yours truly Try that line on ISO if you want to hear that yeah, no it's just totally this is great as truly I kinda like the whole last little riff there, cause you know...I like the whole...this is great. Indigestion courtesy of yours truly You're gonna get some indigestion courtesy of yours truly. Try that line in a gay bar see how that works out for ya

CHAPTER 39 / 46 Discussion

Pizzagate and WikiLeaks Compromise Theories

The "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory involving John Podesta's emails and a pizza parlor is dismissed as lacking evidence. However, concerns regarding WikiLeaks being compromised are discussed, noting that recent document hashes do not match previous ones and Julian Assange appears to be missing or under intense interrogation by Swedish authorities.

pizzagate· wikileaks· julian assange· 4chan· hashes

2:10:34 Yes, yes that would be the place to put it. I'm sorry, I had to set myself up again for the punchline. Good one yeah, game bar perfect! That's a good one you know i do want to talk briefly about two things that i believe are related but there's really not well there's not a lot of zero coverage of it so we have pizza gate which i'm sure you've heard And we have just WikiLeaks in general possibly being compromised. Yeah, that's fine. I'm glad you got this because I didn't like it. I just couldn't stop laughing when I heard this whole story Well which one the pizza? The Wikileaks being compromised. I mean they're doing this maybe it is Maybe it's always been but they just keep bringing this stuff up to be like making excuses for Hillary's loss

2:11:30 No, no no. I'm sorry this is a different type of compromise. Different type of compromise it...I don't know if you really read all this now. Okay well tell me about it. Well since the internet outage and then when we had those weird hashes that Wikileaks tweeted out which would of course prove authenticity of documents. So now new documents are being released on Wikileaks, but they don't match the hashes that came out before that internet outage and even though you say yeah they've seen him at the window Julian Assange really seems to be MIA he appears not to be around Possibly. Abducted, dead something yeah it's a... You were a bit dismissive of it on the last show and I was. I believed you like okay but a lot of people now

2:12:20 that possibly could relate to this Pizzagate thing, in that it would be bogative. Because I don't think this Pizzagate thing is anything at all. All I'm seeing is a lot of 4chan stuff and I am sorry... It does nothing for me. I've seen the 4chan screenshots and as far as I know pretty much none of it has come true. But this Pizzagate is about the pizza place party and the Podesta emails, and child pedophilia and child pornography. All code words for pedophilia whatever. Yeah lots of code words. Something means boy something means girl right? And you know then there's this well something was in the pictography what is it when you hide data in a picture? Steganography thank

2:13:08 You know, so now we have all we found this in steganography and then you know it's a picture of these two young Korean girls which actually one of them I recognize immediately is Lisa Ling. Yeah from was it CNN or whatever? There's just a lot of stuff people are very convinced there's something going on here and I'm the first guy...I've always been on this kind of stuff always! Always! And I've gotten into big trouble for it. Well if your not convince then im not convinced because she'll go Yeah, you're more likely to be convinced. Yes and I do a lot of the research but i'm just not really seeing it so and you know... So some of the assumptions are that because some of this may have come out through wiki leaks

2:13:57 That's why Julian Assange is gone. But you know, if I can't believe in the Pizza Gate... It just- it just- I want to! Believe me. Believe me. Well you can believe that Julian Assange is gone but you can't believe in the other thing and what's the disconnect? Why do you think Julian Assange is gone? Well I do believe in The Hashes I do believe that, to me...I see no discrepancy in that story. And we have not seen him...and so the compromise part, that part i'm not sure It just seems like maybe Julian Assange has always been all of WikiLeaks and who knows if they have a team?

2:14:34 I know we had, we had Sarah show the hot girl who moved to Berlin. We got her but you know that was about it the last show we had a long discussion. We had a good clip of the fact that Sweden is questioning him for hours on end at them at the embassy currently yeah so unless that's a bullcrap story and Sweden is not there in the first place even though his lawyer says they are He wouldn't be gone, he's being grilled. I've seen a lot of deconstruction of the questioning and everything gets polluted with oh look we now have Photoshop for voice like ugh okay. We've had that a long time this is nothing new.

2:15:20 So, I'm just not convinced. Assange... No you are convinced! You're convinced he's dead? Well, yeah. Well, I'm convinced there is something going on and things are very wrong. Not that he is dead but something is wrong. I am convinced he is being grilled by the Swedish and he will be released. In that case, then the one thing I think I've learned out of this is that he is all of Wikileaks. Whoever's running the tweeters and all that stuff right now maybe they don't even know how to use the hashes? Maybe it's all legit stuff they just made copies or done something stupid and the hashes don't match up anymore And that's because he's being questioned by the Swedes That's also possible You know what Gotta tell you sounds pretty damn plausible to me And I am Mr...I'm my...I am The Crackpot Cuckoo Cachoo

CHAPTER 40 / 46 Discussion

PBS Climate Change Coverage, Gwen Ifill Tributes

The PBS NewsHour's coverage of climate change is criticized for only featuring one side of the debate, departing from their usual two-guest formula. The segment also notes the extensive on-air tributes to the late Gwen Ifill, suggesting the program's quality has declined since her passing.

pbs newshour· climate change· gwen ifill· vox· myron ebell

2:16:18 Yeah, you are the crackpot. So there you go. Talking about crackpot... Uh oh! Now again I'm bitching about PBS going over the deep end being pushed around by the underwriter or something that doesn't happen to this show and so i'm watching this thing- This is another PBS clip And something caught my attention. This is the PBS clip on climate change there, you know? There's a big thing going on in Marrakesh democracy now as Amy is down there reporting live from America and what was the big thing in Marrakesh what's going on with so this is a cop 22 Oh Cop 23 then keep track because I'm poor it is to use this cop 23 I guess not 20 30 I think it's 22 that could be 23 yeah, I think it's 22 okay Whatever It's one of them

2:17:03 And they're down there having meetings and everyone's making a fuss. That's what they get paid to do, make a fuss! So we go to the PBS NewsHour and this struck me because all these climate change guys are going on about it's all resolved... Forget the fact that 30,000 scientists signed a petition saying this could be bogus. We'd like to talk about it you don't even give us space so here we are with the news hour I'm going to ask you a question why don't you just play this clip and then tell me I'm going to ask Adam, tell me what's wrong with this picture. ...to withdraw from the Paris Accords but there are no enforcement mechanisms so the new Trump administration could simply ignore the US' commitments In Morocco yesterday Secretary of State John Kerry warned against taking that step He said climate change should not be a partisan issue No one has a right to make decisions that affect billions of people

2:18:01 based on solely ideology. At the same time, 365 American companies have written to the president-elect imploring him to uphold the Paris Accords and warning quote failure to build a low carbon economy puts American prosperity at risk So what would environmental policy actually look like under a Trump administration? David Roberts covers this for Vox. He's a writer and journalist who has long reported on the need for tackling climate change, he joins me now from Portland. David Roberts let's start off talking about the man who is going to help the Trump administration shape energy policy Who is Myron Ebell and what does he believe

2:18:40 Myron Abel is the director of the climate change program at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, which is a think tank in Washington DC. His belief is that climate change is a hoax or possibly no big deal happening and no big deal or possibly happening and good for us depending on which day you ask him Okay. Alright, ask Adam let me think discrepancy discrepancy well I would say number one right off the bat Labeling anyone from Vox as a journalist is a huge discrepancy. That is definitely on the list, not the main one but I felt the same way with Vox. I would say the second one is nice description about this guy who hadn't heard of...I guess I had heard of him before. Yeah, I'd like to know who the 63 companies were and what kind of business they're in

2:19:44 I would like to know that too. Everything you said is true, but what got my attention and why when I'm going to point out here is that the PBS NewsHour has a formula When they discuss stuff, they have two people. Always two people sometimes but rarely three but mostly to they did that throughout this particular show. They'd have a some about Syria there'll be two people and we have something about Trump's election I've two people, two people, two people, two people in fact they had one of them which I do have a clip over it plays whenever there was always two people when they do climate stuff is always one person

2:20:21 Where's the other guy? Where is the guy who says, well you know this could be bull crap. Wow wow wow I'm giving you some points Man we gotta look at this formula Yeah That's fantastic Always just one guy There is always a climate change that will kill us all Well We know that but wow that... hmm Didn't they change didn't they change some kind of rules like You know I know the BBC was trying to do this maybe they did They'd come up with this rule that you no longer needed to have climate deniers on in a climate story. Yeah, that's where everyone picked up on that death was hounded got hounded by these by some public relations company about this No You can't have a climate denial because it all end the truth is the science is in 97% of everybody agrees, you know I tell you John The NewsHour has gone to shit since Gwen Ifill died

2:21:20 Actually, it's funny because maybe it's true. I'm telling you seems as if and they keep doing these lamentations for her She died I think on a Monday and then they did a whole show about Gwen a whole show a complete show Yeah So why on Friday do they? do a reprise. On Friday, they did the end of this news hour they all went into a reprise everybody well it's the end you know it's the end of the week it's like you know it's wrapping up the week we're going to the weekend and time to reflect on our loss come on you feel that? They did it all through the week Well, and then the final one for the end of the week. I've never seen anything quite like it! They're really gonna miss her i guess... But yeah, It's gone to crap since you left. Hey if I die before you would you please do a- No, The show will go to crap! Well you'll do a week of tributes? I'd definitely do a week of tributes. I'll bring all your friends on. Short Show

CHAPTER 41 / 46 Discussion

Marijuana Sales vs. Liquor, Bill O'Reilly Criticism

Marijuana sales in Washington State are nearly equal to hard liquor sales. Bill O'Reilly's opposition to legalization is criticized as "fake news," specifically his unsubstantiated claims about increased traffic accidents and the negative impact on minority communities.

marijuana· washington state· bill o'reilly· traffic accidents· racism

2:22:13 It's the show will be reduced to 10 minutes. Oh man, hey got some news up from Mimi's neck of the woods and something Mimi may be interested in there in Washington State Yeah, pot sales are closing in on hard liquor sales according to the Olympian in the second quarter of this year marijuana sales amounted to nearly two hundred and twelve million dollars That's just thirty seven million dollars less than spirit sales which amounts to almost 249 million This is a change from the quarter before when the sales gap was fifty four point eight million bucks Now you guys getting hammered up there. No way

2:22:52 Yeah, everyone's stoned. In fact now that you're on that topic let's listen to what O'Reilly has to say about this and the white punks on dope Fox Oh man it can be no good. I want advocates say this is just the latest in a string of victories for their cause The markets been there but its time for it to be legit and its time for we are very regulated and its time for that to be standard for this product But some officials disagree, citing concerns about a possible rise in auto accidents and deeper drug addiction among young people. They say the movement needs to take a step back and find ways to make marijuana available more safely

2:23:30 Okay, so California is the big one. Yeah You know they had quasi legalized marijuana and look the other way policy yeah you know that Big medical marijuana ruse yes where you know you got for a cold it's good for a bum toe you can take it for pretty much if you haven't been out to California I love this they have a doctor named dr.. Lenny he's on the premise Dr. Lenny, you hand Lenny 200 in cash and he doesn't want any trace. Lenny writes you a prescription and then you just go to the next place over and they sell it to you! That was the medical marijuana ruse in California

2:24:07 So, and there were 50 thousand Lennies. They were on every corner. For Lenny though! This is not good for business for Lenny. California Massachusetts Nevada all passed measures now you've got a 60% approval rate of legalizing marijuana in the country according to Gallup so I mean this is the way that works. Well Nevada that's good so if you want to gamble you really want to be high when you do that especially when your playing blackjack. you lose. It slows you down! The thing that I saw of all the studies and it is no doubt that kids use it more, there's more traffic accidents but the minority community, poor minorities in this country use legalized marijuana far more than anyone else and that will hurt those folks less work

2:24:52 What a dick. He's a total dick, we've traced his attitude about pot for I don't know years and he comes out with bullcrap this is fake news! He says there are more traffic accidents for sure? No that's not for sure at all there's absolutely no evidence of this it's totally bull. And the evidence that minorities are going to be stoned more than whites where's the evidence of that?! That's pretty damn racist Yeah, it was very racist. No the guy is full of crap this is fake news! I think I'll be on this little fake news thing for the next few weeks by the way. We need jingles. Warning! Warning! Fake News! Yes we do and no one made me a jingle for my suck-it up buttercup that was disappointing. Suck it up Buttercup Why don't you suck it up on there Buttercup baby?

CHAPTER 42 / 46 Discussion

Self-Sufficiency Tips, Growing Marijuana

The hosts offer three tips for listeners: use browser plugins to filter annoying content, learn email encryption, and grow your own marijuana to avoid the "medical ruse" and commercial systems.

marijuana· encryption· browser plugins· self-sufficiency· intoxicants

2:25:47 No one did a jingle for me. That's okay, but we do need something for fake news. Yes fake news Fake news! That's exactly what it should sound like yes fake news yeah You know regarding this particular topic and there are three things you can take away from the no agenda show? You're not radical if you think about just doing the following three things 1 If stuff bothers you, then create a browser plugin so you don't see it. Have a friend create it—a dude named Ben! It really will work. It'll help you too You can use encryption on your email. Spend 20 minutes learning how to do it. Spend 20 minutes Really? You can do it And three and this is probably the most important but please we got to keep this amongst the no agenda family... You can grow your own pot

2:26:40 It's a weed. It's very easy to do Try it sometime and then I don't know maybe grow some tomatoes or something else you'd like to eat, it's not that hard People are their brains are fried John Don't think about this stuff anymore You can grow it yourself! Yeah, I'm a big talker but But you know what I'm saying Alright I had neighbors who grew it Yeah, did you ever say ever Sam? No. You don't do you stop smoking a long time? You know you didn't sample yeah It's not good well I don't like it I mean this is one of these things at some point you know you have a choice between a good glass of cognac or couple hits all over the Joint and the cognac is more satisfying Well, but now you're putting choices in and I can we have all kinds of things that are more entertaining than a couple In terms of an intoxicant oh okay

CHAPTER 43 / 46 Discussion

Australia Cashless Society, Citibank and UBS

Citibank and UBS are pushing for a cashless society in Australia, calling for the elimination of $100 and $50 bills. The move is framed as "good for the economy," but critics argue it primarily benefits banks by giving them total control over consumer transactions.

australia· cashless society· citibank· ubs· currency

2:27:38 Intoxicant, nice. Yes intoxicants and the only thing I have for today to round this out is that you know we saw the where did they was it the rupee? Where they took away the bills yeah India in some parts of India okay so less than a week after that happens What do we have now? We have Australia. Citibank announced it's going cashless at some of its Australian bank branches. Yesterday, Swiss giant UBS called for the elimination of the Australian $150 bills because it would be quote good for the economy and good for the banks unquote. Good for the economy! I can see how it's good for the banks. Yeah totally see that

2:28:32 Australia. No sir, your account is zeroed out. You're zeroed out? That's a great term by the way! You must have taken the money because there was no money in your account I didn't see any money. Yeah you've been zeroed out Wow well Tina and i are gonna have to plan our... The next big trip has got to be Australia We'll spend two weeks there we have to go they need help down there They need help yeah well not much help we're going to be able to provide Are you guys? Did you see or have any indication that Shelley Duvall fiasco on the Dr. Phil show? No, I didn't see it You sent me the link and we were in transit and just didn't get to it So I saw the photo still of her and she looks really really sad

CHAPTER 44 / 46 Discussion

Dr. Phil and Shelley Duvall Interview

Dr. Phil is criticized for an "abusive" and "sadistic" interview with actress Shelley Duvall, who appears to be suffering from functional schizophrenia. The segment is viewed as an exploitation of a mentally ill person for television ratings.

dr. phil· shelley duvall· schizophrenia· mental health· exploitation

2:29:23 Well, yeah she does look sad but she's also old. She's almost 70. But you don't have to look like that when you're 70? No you don't! Yes this is true. She looks pretty beat up but I did... it was sick it was sadistic he interviewed her for an hour and she has functional schizophrenia. She just kind of blathers. Who interviewed her?! Dr. Phil, the douchebag! What an a-hole... what was the point of this? There was no point at the end of the show. He says, well we try to get her help but sure friends are gonna have to help or she's back home and bye that was it oh man It was pathetic me if you want to hear a little bit of it You can I have a clip that goes on but you can listen to it until you're sick of it But this is an abuse of yet again abusive fellow human beings for raises in abusive situation The way I see it yeah Are you by yourself a lot?

2:30:21 So when these people invited me out, I thought well that's nice. You know what? I'm going! Despite everybody else going, let me call the FBI first and check them out. It's like do you know how long I live life without the FBI checking everything out first? 12445. 12445 tell me about that my home address a 45 is a type of pistol Right? 45 caliber. Yes, so it's a double-aught six is uh you know it's a shotgun I sawed off shotgun Have you seen the Dr. Phil show before well your doctor right have you seen the dr. Phil show before yes You've watched it yeah It was where was that on? I can't John I can't you're bumming me out

CHAPTER 45 / 46 Discussion

Stanford Band Suspension, Lewd Traditions

The Stanford University marching band has been suspended for various "lewd" acts, including sexually explicit behavior and hazing. The band's history of controversial performances, such as mocking polygamy at BYU and urinating on the field, is recounted.

stanford university· marching band· notre dame· brigham young university· hazing

2:31:18 Yeah, give me something happy. Give me something happy please something different well This can't be the last clip of the show no it can't be I'm sorry now Oh don't worry Don't worry. No worry. I got a couple good ones I mean I could just do one last just one quick and then we'll know I go I get why you're gonna Happy one okay? All right The Stanford band was prevented from playing at the Cal big game where Stanford won, I think for the seventh or eighth year in a row because University of California refuses to fire the crappy coach they have. But that's beside the point but I just thought this little piece about the Stanford band and you have to remember the Stanford band since then...I think the 40s is a lewd but talented band. I did not know this!

2:32:01 The Stanford band, when I was at Cal and this is a long time ago. The Stanford band was lewd back then they used to come out with these sousaphones that had like marijuana leaves painted in them. It's like the 60s or 70s. They'd run out into the thing and then they make a formation. They'd run around like maniacs and make a formation. They didn't do anything marching or anything. And they would...I remember them running around lining up and then facing the University of California student section and yelling, fuck you at the top of their lungs. Excellent! So that's the Stanford band so here's a little bit on the Stanford band with some of the more recent incidents. Excellent and I love me a good drum cadence by the way so i could become a fan. Student section is wild during the games but it may not be as wild at this year's big game without the stanford band

2:32:53 The band has actually been banned since May 2015 for what the university called violations from complaints by band members for sexually explicit and offensive acts, hazing as well as violations of alcohol and controlled substance. Just hours ago the University told NBC Bay Area despite the ban being lifted for two recent bowl games As of today the bands still had not made enough progress in addressing the concerns I mean a little bummed that they won't be there because it's a big part school and big part spirit At its band's shack headquarters, the band referred us to an online statement saying it understands the concerns and in essence is addressing them. The band also turned over its transportation money so five busloads of students can ride to the big game free. And the band has told us that they're still very supportive of the team and they are going to do everything they can during this week during Big Game Week to support the teams for you know students get everyone pumped up

2:33:47 Now, the university did tell us today that the Student Affairs staff is working with band leaders and the band's progress will be reviewed before the holiday bowl game season. Live at Stanford Robert Honda NBC Bay Area News. Robert thank you so suspensions as you might know are nothing new for the Stanford Band You might recall back in 1986 The ban drew a two-game suspension for allegedly urinating on the field during a halftime show. Five years later, Notre Dame University banned the Stanford band indefinitely after a band member dressed as a nun and used a crucifix as a baton. And in 2004 another suspension after the band's dancers wore wedding veils in a parody of polygamy at Brigham Young University

2:34:32 I love those guys. There's a couple of gals in there too, in the band Yeah it's wild and crazy bunch. I've always admired them That's cool here is clip from one of the girls in the band Oh and this one time at Band Camp? I stuck a flute in my pussy Heyo! It has been awhile It has been awhile since we played that one Alright thanks everybody on stream for hanging in there through some of these yes I'll use the word glitches And, uh... So we're not gonna see the American Music Awards tonight. We're going out to dinner. But there will be some Illuminati shit in there guaranteed Probably I'll let you know all about it Exactly Alright Jean-Claude merci beaucoup Another show coming up on Thursday Remember us at Dvorak dot org slash NA Until then I will say man with athletic finger make broad jump

CHAPTER 46 / 46 Discussion

Show Outro, John Oliver Montage

The show concludes with the standard sign-off and a montage mocking British comedian John Oliver. The hosts remind listeners to support the show via the value-for-value model at dvorak.org/na.
