Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, warned on CNN that AI could eliminate half of all entry-level white-collar jobs and lead to 20% unemployment within five years. While he acknowledged the potential for medical breakthroughs, he cautioned that the current technological shift is moving too fast for traditional labor market adaptation.

The hosts argued that while AI may displace white-collar bureaucratic and administrative roles, it will have little to no impact on blue-collar trades such as welding, plumbing, and electrical work. They encouraged younger generations to pursue careers in the skilled trades to ensure long-term job security. While AI can assist with "spot art" and basic copywriting, it currently lacks the talent and physical capability required for most manual labor and high-level creative performance.
