About this episode

President-elect Donald Trump shattered decades of diplomatic protocol by accepting a ten-minute phone call from Taiwan’s President, sparking a media firestorm over the long-standing One China policy. While NBC and PBS pundits reacted with alarm, the transition team also faced scrutiny for a reported conversation with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte regarding his controversial anti-drug campaign. These geopolitical shifts coincide with the appointments of General James Mattis as Secretary of Defense and ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson as a potential Secretary of State, signaling a massive realignment of American power.

Domestic tensions flare as former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky warns of systemic vulnerabilities in U.S. voter registration, citing a lack of citizenship verification. Meanwhile, IBM CEO Ginni Rometty faces backlash after offering services to the incoming administration, reviving historical concerns about the company’s role in tracking populations during World War II. At a heated Harvard post-mortem, Kellyanne Conway clashed with Clinton aides Jennifer Palmieri and Mark Shields over the Democratic Party’s focus on cultural liberalism versus the working-class voters who secured the Electoral College for Trump.

John Dvorak recounts his visit to the exclusive Bohemian Grove, debunking myths about the giant owl statue while describing the potent Nembutal cocktails served to the global elite. The program also explores the bizarre internet theory regarding Justin Trudeau’s parentage and the Newsweek error that saw thousands of Madam President magazines shipped to newsstands prematurely. Adam Curry and Dvorak close with a look at the White Helmets’ funding in Syria and the UN’s formal apology for the cholera outbreak in Haiti.

CHAPTER 01 / 35 Discussion

Introduction, Plato Quotes and Nazi Jokes

Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak open the program from Austin, Texas, and Northern Silicon Valley. The hosts exchange humorous quotes attributed to Plato and discuss the quality of information being sent in by the audience. Dvorak notes that some listeners are sending in dated news items that are several years old.

adam curry· john c. dvorak· austin· silicon valley· plato· messerschmitt

00:00 And I know it's bullcrap because i've seen the owl. Guarding your reality 24-7 even on weekends and broadcasting live from the darkest corners of the internet here in Austin Tejas. In the morning everybody, I'm Adam Curry And from Northern Silicon Valley where Plato say man who seduces German woman who owns a Mescher Schmitt really wants to fuck her. I am John C. Duvall. It's Crackpot & Buzzkill! Oh nice aviation Plato says these guys are way ahead of their time man

00:42 Yes, I don't know how he even knew about these models. I mean seriously How did they know about that stuff fantastic anyway always nice kicking off the show with the Nazi joke good one welcome ah? I have to say I love my job John why what happened it's just great People are catching on once again you know they're sending good stuff good info oh yeah Good stuff is coming in some of his dated I'm sorry? A lot of our newer guys, there's a lot of problems. I've had this problem it's happened to me where you run into something and holy crap this is going on! I can't believe it yeah and here check this out and then you notice that it's like five years old oh I've had that happen a lot oh yeah they don't do enough the end their problem with some of these websites in news sites in particular they don't put the data anywhere at some instances

CHAPTER 02 / 35 Discussion

VMAT2 God Gene, Pentagon Vaccine Hypothesis

A video circulating online suggests the Pentagon investigated using a vaccine to suppress the VMAT2 "God gene" in religious fanatics to eliminate extremist behavior. The discussion explores the use of fMRI scans to detect gene expression and touches on historical theories regarding the origins of AIDS and Ebola at Fort Detrick. Mention is made of a new HIV vaccine entering phase two human clinical trials at Western University.

vmat2· god gene· pentagon· gene therapy· fmri· ebola· aids

01:38 So you're just finding out the 9-11 was an inside job? Is that what you were trying to say? No, but I did get the one...I got onto this one thing about VMAT 2. And uh... Sorry, sorry. VMAT2? What is that? VMAT 2 is if you remember we talked about this probably when it first appeared and then it showed up again started floating around This is a video of...VMAT 2 is the god gene And people who want to look this up, they can look at VMAT2, number two usually. Gene therapy and you can run into these documents about this. They're trying to kill his gene off and they think if they could do it with a supposedly...they call it the vaccine but I think it's just a toxin or they wanna implement through flu virus maybe have a... You mean the flu vaccine not the virus?

02:36 Yes, though you write the flu vaccine. Oh who knows maybe they do it through the flu virus Actually doing it to the flu viruses the way to go And I think this is gonna happen sometime in the future But there's kind of a part two with the show kind of thing but when V Matt did Thursday this video keeps I Our hypothesis is that... I think it was the Pentagon, at least it was stamped D.O.D., so we believe this was... Yeah and there's no way to debunk this part of it because I keep looking and saying, yeah I could do a V-O you know but this is way too genuine It looks pretty genuine, yeah These are fanatical people

03:27 He's talking about genes of terrorists, right? Yeah. There is a gene in the brain and it produces a spot in the brain that creates this kind of... That's how all fanatics apparently have this. Which the highly dubious fMRI can apparently detect. That's very dubious, and the other dubious part is that if you really look into the fanatics that are fighting most of these in ISIL and amongst them. Very few of them are religious fanatics they're just kids joyriding for all practical purposes. Who have all kinds of weird shit going on their brain anyway. Hypothesis is that these are fanatical people. That they have overexpression of the VMAT2 gene And by vaccinating them against this will eliminate this behavior

04:11 So we have some very, very remarkable data in this next slide. Here we have two brain scans these are fMRIs These are two different individuals with different levels of expression of EMAT2 On top is an individual who's a religious fanatic and individual We've repeated this numerous times How unhappy must you feel? If you were one of the, especially under taking Title 41 into regard. The power the changes that the FBI now has how do you feel that you actually sent your DNA to 23andMe?

04:51 Really good, huh? Oh yeah. I'm sorry Mr.. Curry it appears you have the terror gene Yeah, we'll have to kill you do something with you Has high levels of EMAT 2 now This individual down here who had low levels of the BMAT 2 gene this individual would Self-describe as not particularly religious in any I put the video in the show notes, people should go and take a look at it. But this is kind of creepy. Well it's creepy if you think of the stories about both AIDS and Ebola coming from a lab in Fort Detrick Maryland

05:37 which we've brought up on the show before. And there's, and the fact that there are some comparable structures in both those viruses is alarming but- That part I didn't or at least I don't remember Yeah when we were discussing when Ebola came out There was some discussion It was a long thing and I did it If you look at all literature There are couple of structures that are coincident to both AIDS and Ebola And these both cropped up, of course in the 70s and 80s. And the thesis is the one I like to promote which is that in the 70's there was this huge movement towards population control and all literature showed that the real problem was in Africa

06:28 This is kind of second half a show material. Well, yes and no I mean it kind of relates to a story that just came across the wire yesterday that Western University is moving into phase two human clinical trials of an HIV vaccine And the reason why it hit my scanners was because it's being tested in 33 humans Those things you know just one of those things is the coincidence, but if they so if they have some fix for ebola And it has the similar Design as HIV who knows who knows what we can come up with all of a sudden well But this V man thing is yeah It's a little disturbing just a tad or as we say fact check false hands clapping thumbs up there. You go Yeah, there you go Okay Let me see

CHAPTER 03 / 35 Discussion

Donald Trump, Taiwan Phone Call Controversy

President-elect Donald Trump broke decades of diplomatic protocol by accepting a ten-minute congratulatory phone call from the President of Taiwan. Media coverage from NBC and PBS is contrasted, highlighting the hysterical reaction of some pundits compared to more sober reporting. The history of the "One China" policy is traced back to the Nixon administration and the formal break in ties under Jimmy Carter in 1979.

donald trump· taiwan· china· nixon· jimmy carter· nbc· pbs

07:18 Get into a little light stuff. Just because it's, I mean the media deconstruction part of today is fun and this trans... Since there really is no news about what the new president will do when he's actually present but he's not president yet It's just on and on and on and they have nothing else to discuss but shit that could be true making it up What we think? Let's start with the Taiwan incident. Yeah, this was dynamite! I went oh okay... This is new and i didn't even know the rules about Taiwan quite honestly until uh this phone call took place where do we start?

07:57 Well, I have a couple of clips. For one thing we can get started with the worst case scenario which is NBC's report and then contrast it with PBS' report The News Hour to see one hysterical report from NBC and what are the things you'll miss from this clip is the... You're not gonna see all the little tweets that they showed that they popped up on the screen for people like Chris Hayes Oh! That guy's an idiot not to know NOT TO DO THIS That sort of thing. So which one do I have two NBC clips with Taiwan? Which one do we start with okay Well, let's see what you got Taiwan incident NBC version that I think it oh yeah It's the incident clip the first one says version on Lauren Thank You We do now want to turn to politics and Donald Trump at the center of a diplomatic controversy The president-elect turning decades of protocol upside down with his 10 minute phone call with Thailand

08:51 The reaction pouring in, including from China. Needless to say Beijing is not happy. The latest on the phone flap from ABC's David Wright. Tonight the 10-minute phone call with global repercussions. Having provoked China plenty out on the campaign trail, Donald Trump broke with four decades of US foreign policy by speaking with his Taiwanese counterpart. The president of Taiwan called me today to wish me congratulations on winning the presidency he tweeted thank you but ever since Nixon in the U.S recognizes one China, The People's Republic which considers Taiwan to be a breakaway province Today Beijing lodged an official protest

09:37 Uh-oh, tweeted former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer. I wasn't even allowed to refer to the government of Taiwan! China will go nuts! It's probably time we get a Secretary of State nominee on board, tweeted Democratic Senator Chris Murphy. Preferably with experience like really really soon President Elect Trump is fully brief and fully knowledgeable about these issues on an ongoing basis regardless who is on the other end of the phone I do have some questions about this, but you want to play your PBS first or well first? I also want to mention that they show it They showed in Donald Trump's initial tweet where he got the phone call and talked about on Twitter Yeah But they didn't show which i thought was unfair not showing the second one which is just sort of sarcastic remark

10:21 An hour later when people started, they got upset immediately. I can't imagine people just must dog his Twitter account so an hour later he says gee it's funny i get criticized for taking a congressional phone call while we sell billions and billions of dollars worth of arms to this country Exactly that...I mean that Of course that wasn't really talked about But this is my question. As a kid growing up, I remember that we would have goods in the... So this is 70's when I was still in the US. I remember it would either say made in Taiwan or made in Pakistan and was kind of the joke like where does that make? Taiwan? And now before we had Chinese stuff so we were really in bed with those guys on the trade front as far as I can recall. Oh, absolutely.

11:12 Absolutely. Everything was coming in from Taiwan. Yeah, they were the predecessor of the Chinese cheap production manufacturer. And the Chinese are all kind of irked that we're even talking to them or trading with them or anything and they were always threatening them but... The funny thing was the Chinese in their early days of the split off when Taiwan was formed by the leftovers from Chiang Kai-shek The Chinese had built, because I've been to the coast around Xiamen China. There's a... which is right you can see Taiwan from now on your front porch pretty much and there's a bunch of embattlements that have been set up

11:52 They're all abandoned now, but you they're along the beach. It's very interesting and there were these old Foxhole not fossils with these little turrets and all this crazy Because they're a lot of things that the pillbox yes pill boxes There we go mm-hmm They were expecting that the Taiwanese had attacked China and take it over so when Nixon made the deal it was next who made the deal and Nixon's gonna open China trade open China. So was it part of the deal that we said, okay? Here's what we're gonna do Well F Taiwan but okay yes We can't talk about it know the

12:29 This is a little cloudy because if you listen to the PBS report, they mentioned Nixon specifically in that report from NBC because Nixon's a Republican. And NBC is just all-in with the Democrats so there's a little bit of propaganda there. Because the protocol began this so called protocol which by the way I don't know why anybody doesn't back away and look at this and say this is stupid This country exists. We sell them stuff our train our friend our friend Moody lives there, or did he move to Taiwan? Yeah is a Taiwanese wife yeah I don't know if you moved. I'm sorry. I don't know if you but I thought he had moved But who knows oh he could have he could move there. Yeah You

13:14 So it's stupid. This protocol is stupid and the fact that it has gone on this long, and Trump should just say so what why? Why are the Chinese telling us what to do and who to talk to? I think he his second tweet said at all was like listen these we sell billions of material to these guys which I'm sure the Chinese are not happy with or do they not know this somehow yeah right now They don't know it. It's such a what?! Trump gave it away. We were secretly selling billions of dollars. Oh no, who knew? So this thing should go away but the protocol appears according to the PBS report and I believe them more than I believe NBC about any of this started in 1979 which is Jimmy Carter Ah a democrat

CHAPTER 04 / 35 Discussion

Rodrigo Duterte, Philippines Anti-Drug Program

Reports indicate that during a phone call with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, Donald Trump allegedly praised the country's controversial anti-drug campaign. The program has been condemned by the United Nations and the U.S. State Department due to the high number of police killings. The hosts question the validity of the reports and the necessity of maintaining strict diplomatic protocols.

rodrigo duterte· philippines· donald trump· anti-drug program· united nations

14:03 and they won't mention that. So let's play the... Now listen to compare that hysterical report you just heard of the people running around their hands in the air waving and screaming, which was NBC compared it to the more sober and more realistic report from PBS. And late today The Trump transition team reported that President-elect Trump spoke by phone with the president of Taiwan It is a highly unusual move The US cut formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan in 1979. That's it? Yeah, that's all the report to me was the perfect report. No mention of protocol but no screaming and yelling what an idiot this is only the only media outlet that I so far have heard someone say oh yeah we sell billions of weapons to Taiwan they could've mentioned on the PBS for Diddy there

15:00 They could have, but they kept it short and sweet. It was fine. Anyway so that's this whole thing is a joke and... But it's fun to watch! They go on with, they pile on a little bit on the NBC report because they have to. And if you play part this second part you'll see what I'm talking about. And David joins us now live from Trump Tower. David this was not the president elect's only controversial call with the foreign leader? Not by a long shot Cecilia also today that President of The Philippines said that during his call with Trump Trump praised his controversial anti-drug program. Now this is a program where police have killed more than 2,000 people the UN and the US have condemned that program Cecilia

15:48 Right. Yeah, Trump wants to kill us all. Of course I don't even know it! This guy, this nutcase that's running the Philippines and which I think we agree is kind of wacky... He could have made that up but there was no verification of that. Trump said oh you're doing a great job at cleaning up the drug thing It just doesn't make sense. Probably took the call and chatted for a minute or two and then it was that The guy can barely speak English. Well, I like it. I hear these things and I'm like yeah nice whatever protocol is busted up a bit we'll see this protocol is stupid and why? And again why is China

16:32 telling us what since 1979 China was a weak sister in 1979. Why are we walking on pins and needles for China? Well, all these well We're gonna find out and try to by the way of anybody They're doing more business with Taiwan than any other country there most of the Taiwan products are all not made in in China I mean ace or everybody else's moved to China And they you know they work together they have They're even going to run a airline direct flights to Taipei if they haven't already, which took awhile. So why are we on pins and needles about this? Well the only thing I can recall is that there was a lot of noise about President Obama's first campaign

17:20 His first election campaign, there was a lot of financing from China through credit cards and all kinds of nefarious things. I don't know maybe that? I dunno. But everyone has agendas in Washington. Surprise surprise! It just makes me laugh how come Kim Jong-un hasn't called yet? Can't get it, there's no phones at work The dial phone, you have to click the hand set. The White House doesn't accept collect calls is that what you're saying? That's another one yeah there are a million jokes here There was a fun segment on CNN where one of the hosts sat down because now we're still raging about the illegals who were voting

CHAPTER 05 / 35 Discussion

Illegal Voting Claims, CNN Voter Interview

A CNN segment featuring Trump voters claiming millions of undocumented immigrants voted in California is deconstructed. The discussion focuses on a clip of President Barack Obama that was allegedly edited by Fox Business to suggest he encouraged non-citizens to vote. The hosts examine the actual transcript of the interview to determine if the President's words were intentionally misleading or simply misinterpreted.

cnn· barack obama· voter fraud· california· fox business· illegal immigration

18:07 And so this CNN host sat down with people who had voted for Trump and said now, you know she's trying to find...and she kind of already falls into that trap that Scott Adams was talking about. That it's not even whether there were illegal votes taking place but how many illegal aliens were voting? And this group challenges her and then she comes up with some bullcrap but we're going to debunk it here so let's just listen to this. So where are you getting your information? From the media! Which media? Some of it was CNN I believe... CNN said that 3 million illegal people voted in California? Well, it was coming all across me. All across me. CNN didn't do it.

18:53 it then they were being smart this time. Do you think that three million illegal people voted? I believe in California that there were illegals that voted How many? I don't, to tell you the truth nobody really knows that number But do you think three dozen or do you think 3 million? I think there was a good amount because the president told people that they could vote and it happened in Nashua we caught some people yeah that they went into Nashua and they said the president said I can vote I'm here illegally Did you hear President Obama say that illegal people could Yes, I did. On what? Tell me where? You can find it on Google and you can find it on Facebook. Alright hold on... I don't want to waste any more time but anyway I see where it came from and its Fox Business Network deceptively edited a clip of Barack Obama to argue that the president encouraged illegal immigrants to vote when in fact he had said nothing of the sort when you go back to the transcript

19:44 So she tries to debunk that, she tries to do a fact check false live. Unfortunately these people are right in some degree there was an interview one day before the election with a millennial voter who interestingly enough is here illegally She sat down interviewed the president not like you get arrested or anything for breaking the law but she asked a very specific question and although the president I think his answer is truthful because he didn't really either didn't hear the question or didn't want to. The way he answered it totally can be misconstrued. Many of the Millennials, Dreamers undocumented

20:26 Citizens and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country now notice what she's saying here. I call them citizens because they contribute to this country This is important. I like the redefinition Well, yeah We should probably look up the actual definition to make sure citizens and I call them citizens cuz they contribute to this country are fearful of voting. So if I vote, will immigration know where i live? Will they come for my family and deport us?" Now the correct answer is you can't vote because you're not a legal citizen of the United States that's what the president should say...correct? I would hope so. Yeah guess again. Know where I live will they come from my family and deport us? Not true okay And the reason is first of all when you vote

21:13 Now he's already playing into what she just said. I call the dreamers and the illegal citizens because they contribute, You are a citizen yourself and there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, etc. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential in terms of who you voted for If you have a family member who maybe is undocumented then you have even greater reason to vote

21:49 So while he is talking about something else... Oh yeah, that's telling people to vote. That's the way I take it! There's no doubt about it And you know, I don't know whatever the CNN woman was looking at Well, I don't what the CNN woman was talking about but would you expect? Now did they pull up this clip that you just pulled up and then play so they can analyze as they listen or she just makes stuff up She pulled up this clip and the clip was edited. But when you look at the, for brevity I guess... Oh this has been deceptively edited by- That clip was not that long! Hold on. That clip was not that long No, not this one Yeah yeah yeah, I know what your saying but i'm just telling you there was a version on Fox News that she pulled up At least thats what she pulled up I didn't find that actual story The way they had deceptively edited it And it looked like there was a bad jump cut

22:45 But I pulled the original interview and there's no jump cut. I've been in television a long time, I don't think this was edited. I'm pretty good at detecting that. Yeah! No you're really good at it actually. So the president without a doubt just Just kind of skipped over saying, well you know you can't call yourself a citizen. What is the actual definition of citizen? I got it! Here's the Webster version uh-huh definition of citizen an inhabitant of a city or town especially one entitled to the rights and privileges of a freeman free man 2. A member of a state, to be natives or naturalized person who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it 3. Civilian as distinguished from a specialized servant of the state So that's it! That's your examples It's pretty weak I thought so Pretty weak Well... We do have rules

CHAPTER 06 / 35 Discussion

Voter ID Laws, Hans von Spakovsky Interview

Former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky discusses the lack of systematic citizenship verification in the U.S. voter registration process. He cites surveys suggesting that a significant percentage of non-citizens may be registered to vote, potentially impacting election outcomes. The conversation covers the "honor system" used in many states and the Obama administration's efforts to block citizenship verification lists.

hans von spakovsky· voter id· fec· kansas· department of homeland security

23:41 I know that we have laws and luckily, and now everything starts to come together with all the noise about voter ID laws. They're suppressing the vote. They're suppressing poor people who don't have ID because as a black man in Los Angeles you can't carry ID! That would be dumb Or New York as a black man in New York or black woman, you know if you get stopped. Sorry no ID I don't have picture ID bullcrap Yeah There was a couple of good videos made that show like, yeah the naivete actually black Americans going what the F are you talking about? Always carry it So I have here they clip which will go into this

24:28 illegal voting and explains, I think why Democrats in particular are always accusatory of voter ID laws in particularly Republican states. This is former Federal Election Committee Commissioner Hans von Spakowski and he really lays it out including the numbers. I would say he's more right than his critics. We actually don't know the answer to that and the problem is, is that our whole voter registration process is pretty much based on an honor system. I will tell you we know for certain that non-citizens are illegally registering in voting there have been cases all across the country of people being prosecuted for that

25:25 But there's no systematic way of verifying citizenship. A number of surveys have looked at this and non-citizens themselves admit that they are registered to vote, it could be anywhere from 10% to 15% of non citizens being registered... Let me just take the detail. That's because if you're an illegal immigrant here, you can go out and get a fake ID, fake Social Security card, fake driver's license, and then walk in unregistered to vote even with those fake documents. Nobody is going to check those. They'll do it as they say it's the honor system so that's the basis for the ability of people to register even if they are not citizens correct?

26:03 Yes, but also non-citizens who are here legally. Many of them go and get driver's licenses and they are asked where they want to register to vote and they're allowed to register to vote. A case in Virginia just before the election more than a thousand non-citizens were found registered in just eight counties in this state All of them here legally but illegally registered and many of them had voted in prior elections. Okay, but there's a question of magnitude here just how do we have any sense of what that magnitude is? I mean you mentioned anecdotes and anecdotes are worth mentioning

26:40 Statistically, we really don't know how many people might be fraudulent voters do we? No. There again we have to look at the surveys based on the surveys it could be anywhere from 2% to over 6% of non-citizens voting in elections which could be anywhere from a couple hundred thousand over a million What should states do to limit this kind of voter fraud Every state should have a law like Kansas that says when you register to vote, you have to provide proof of citizenship and frankly the Trump administration needs to start a new project whereby the Department of Homeland Security starts checking state voter registration lists to verify citizenship of people who are registered to vote. So but this is typically done on a state basis? This is not something that you would do nationally in terms of voter ID laws

27:32 No, that's right. But states have had problems with the Obama administration because the Obama administration has tried to stop all verification of citizenship on voter registration lists. Okay Hans von Spakovsky thanks for being with us. There you go so it pretty much wraps it up It could be quite large And I well if it's 10% like you said earlier than they said six to eight percent or four to six percent. Yeah, that's based on the legal test at least a million people now the problem is there's a couple problems one

28:08 I'm actually not dead set against somebody that's living and working in the country voting. In fact, I'm kind of upset that I can't vote twice because I also have a place up in Washington State and there are issues local issues that affect me up there but I am registered to vote in California where those local issue here too so why can't I have... You should be allowed to vote in both states but not in general Not for president But I, the local issues up there affect me. I should be able to vote there." And I bet you if you go up there and show your ID you'll be okay? I'm not doing it because it's illegal. Oh well there is that. Now yeah...there's that and uh

28:54 But I've never seen it, you know if you're living here say you've been living her for 10 years. I think you should be able to vote but it's illegal that's the problem You want to the way? I see it If you wanna get these guys you want to put them on the voters ballot The way they're doing at the Democrats in particular we want to do this is by cheating change the law This one of those things you got a problem like the Second Amendment. You got a problem Repeal the Second Amendment. You got a problem with the voting situation? Change the law! Instead of cheating the system. This is sneaky, oh let's do this, oh yeah you can vote go ahead and vote that wink-wink nudge-nudge change the law I've never really had that much of a problem with them the idea i think felons should vote in fact I've never understood why they can't. The other ones are affected by the system more than anybody else to get out of jail they maybe want some corrupt systems it should be able to vote well you know what I say to you then John? Change the system! Change the law

CHAPTER 07 / 35 Discussion

Roe v. Wade, State Abortion Regulations

A legal analysis provided by a listener clarifies the constitutional standing of abortion laws following Roe v. Wade. The summary explains that while the first trimester is protected by privacy rights, states have the authority to regulate or criminalize abortion in the second and third trimesters. Recent Texas regulations regarding the burial of fetal remains and hospital privileges for doctors are cited as examples of state-level restrictions.

roe v. wade· supreme court· abortion· texas· constitutional law

29:55 What do you have to do? Yeah. Hmm, well while we're on... And I should be able to vote. There should be some way I can vote in Washington that's really irksome. While we were on law and we were talking about the Rode versus Wade and abortion and constitutionality versus religion. Right yes, did you get the note? Yeah from of course we have our resident constitutional lawyer how stupid are we Sir Richard the Lord of The Law Libraries in Lincoln Nebraska Yes, we will. Yeah right I do when he sent his note and I read it over and I realized that no media outlet has really discussed it from a absolute perspective yeah And last night I read it to Tina the Keeper and she also was like oh I didn't really know that's exactly what it was about Then you know she's very interested in this here It is in the morning both of you guys last episode yet a brief discussion about laws surrounding abortion

30:53 You got it kind of wrong, but in your defense it's complicated and virtually no one without a legal education understands it. Including most TV pundits and reporters." And we concur since we have not seen anyone explain it this way Here we go! And remember this is from the actual guy who maintains the... what do I have here? The law book? What is it? Yeah, this big book. It's a national survey of state laws 7th edition which he sent to both of us. Huge! Abortion is a crime in virtually every state I'm not sure what that means i don't like the word virtually but okay abortion is a crime in virtually every state and as such is illegal in them all within the constitutional limits described by the supreme court

31:38 The court in Roe v. Wade found that a woman has the right to privacy that shields her from laws of the state in the first trimester, therefore after the first trimester the state can regulate abortion in any way they see fit." So thats really the crux of it. Abortion is a crime in the United States according to the Supreme Court after the first trimester And the states can then do whatever they want. So most of the controversy you see today regards how the state attempts to regulate legal abortions, but that are clearly intended to limit access requiring a burial for all embryos... Hello Texas! The abortion clinic doctors have hospital privileges at a local hospital etc. You can see this clip. Well and I do want to say one thing about that

32:34 That it is the hospitals who need to be kicked in the ass, in this case. Because they are... And most of the hospitals in Texas certainly are religious-based or religiously based although they're owned by only a few huge, huge very commercial corporations They are just refusing flat out because they don't want the hassle But I think that would certainly go along way towards solving some issues here in Texas It's like come on Don't be an A-hole But there it is. That's how it works, and you're right no one has... I don't think anyone has broken it down that simply. Right now we can go back to our old theories. Oh by the way! I forgot to mention on Thursday although he probably won't become Secretary of State, I do want to mention that being from the future Dan Quayle did show up at Trump Tower Okay

CHAPTER 08 / 35 Discussion

Rex Tillerson, ExxonMobil Secretary of State Rumors

Amy Goodman of Democracy Now reports that Donald Trump is considering ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson and former CEO Lee Raymond for Secretary of State. The report highlights ExxonMobil's history of allegedly covering up climate change research. The hosts express skepticism about these picks, characterizing the media coverage as "fake news" and nonsense.

rex tillerson· lee raymond· exxonmobil· amy goodman· secretary of state

33:29 But what, well it's good to know. It showed at Bolton. Then the weirdest one I mean we talk about going to skewed media Amy Goodman brings up this one this one was I never nobody else reported this and as Secretary of State candidates You had to do—let's look up here. Amy on Exxon picks her secretary of state, listen to this bullcrap! Donald Trump has still not chosen his secretary of state but new media reports say he is considering two additional candidates ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson, and former ExxonMobil CEO Lee Raymond. ExxonMobile is the U.S.'s largest oil company. It's currently being investigated by a handful of attorneys generals following revelations that for decades the company covered up its own scientific findings linking rising carbon emissions to dangerous climate change.

34:25 What? So, yes Rice. Yes, fake news. The likelihood of either one of those guys especially the second guy she mentioned who's that you've seen him he's the guy who had I don't know it has some condition but his face is all swollen as like a thousand chins just the worst looking person ever and just a bad representative of anything. It's just nonsense, it wouldn't...it's complete nonsense especially since he's like targeting military guys to put in charge of everything which is also kind of an idiot. Well you know here's my take on it because of course with every military guy every military industrial complex all these people coming in you gotta have some skepticism

CHAPTER 09 / 35 Discussion

James Mattis, Secretary of Defense Appointment

General James "Mad Dog" Mattis is discussed following his appointment as Secretary of Defense. The hosts analyze his reputation for bluntness, his "linear" thinking style attributed to being a voracious reader, and past controversies involving a rescue mission in Afghanistan. Concerns are raised about his potential friction with Trump's stance on Vladimir Putin and his 44-year tenure in the Marine Corps.

james mattis· mad dog· marine corps· pentagon· putin

35:24 It's like, what exactly is going on? Will this be any good now on the military side. What I've been hearing is first of all we have the top brass are all leaving Brennan's gonna go Clapper's gonna go Of course but what's his name? Who's who's DOD right now? Ash Carter I'm sure Ash Carter. So you know now, i do like bringing in uh Mad Dog just the idea of having a guy... Well no, I have mixed feelings about mad dog oh oh I've very and play the Fox report I have a clip up here because there's he did he said they cut this one quote of his into this report that just really takes me back saying quote by reading you learn through others experience generally a better

36:19 way to do business, especially in our line of work where the consequences of incompetence are so final for young men. Mattis is also known for turning a compelling phrase like quote be polite, be professional but have a plan to kill everybody you meet. Mattis also finds himself defending accusations that as a brigadier general in Afghanistan in 2001, he repeatedly refused to send helicopters to rescue a group of Green Berets trapped by enemy fire. The army captain who led the mission says Mattis betrayed them and the general has not responded." Hmm... The other thing I don't like about this guy even though I don't dislike him specifically for this but it's like he doesn't own a TV

37:06 That's good, but it's also bad. And he reads, he's just a reading, he's a voracious reader and I don't... People who are voracious readers you... I don't know what his level of education is that should look him up on Wikipedia right now but that's the sign of somebody who feels they don't know anything where they start to read too much reading or reading. So you think his news diet does not have a healthy balance is what you're saying? Definitely not. I said also if you use some media theories like the stuff McLuhan would promote, he's a linear thinker because of the way he takes in information which is reading which is a linear process where you go from here and your to reach it's like word after word instead of getting an impact or gestalt let's say from the television we get to see stuff

37:56 It's a little harder to deal with this stuff off the TV because there is all kinds of information coming at you. A lot of it goes subconscious, but with this guy he is a linear thinker so he is old fashioned and where as his pre 1900 mentality in terms of the way his brain works and that quote about him, plan to kill everybody you meet I don't see the guys being funny So I don't see this as a humorous comment because it is funny, but i don't see him as funny. I've never seen him even barely smile uh...Ii don't think the other services like him and I think that that ranger guy probably epitomizes the army's take on him now. I'm not sold on this character. Okay. 44 years in the marines? Come on! This is just not a guy that you could hang out with. I don't know if I want to hang out with

38:48 with anyone, really. I'm happy hanging out here! That's beside the point. He seems like he is a little... you know he is a Marine. A 44 year old Marine 4-star general. This guy has definitely got a fixed mentality about things and he doesn't like that Trump is warming up to Putin. Why? I don't know. We'll have to see Who else did we have in the recent appointments? Well, this so they know this. The idea of a lot of oil guys coming in is on one hand makes nothing but sense because that's what Trump promised. Well also he's got his munchkin character who I kind of think is...I like him.

CHAPTER 10 / 35 Discussion

Steven Mnuchin, Treasury Secretary and Regulatory Experience

The appointment of Steven Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary is analyzed, with a focus on his background at Goldman Sachs. One host shares a personal anecdote about working as an air pollution inspector at an oil refinery to argue that industry insiders often make the most effective regulators because they cannot be easily deceived by corporate tactics.

steven mnuchin· goldman sachs· treasury department· hedge funds· air pollution

39:45 No, Munchkin. The guy who's the secretary of uh... Oh! Munchkin. ...the treasury. I don't think his name is- Isn't that his name? Munchkin? I don't think it's Munchkin. No, I don't think it's Munchkin. No, it's totally Munchkin. This is a treasury guy? He's a Goldman Sachs guy? Yeah that guy. You like him? I DO like him. Why? I don't know anything about him Well, I just li- It's a gestalt that he's got That I like because I've known these types of guys He's also an insider outsider, so he's been in the business. They accuse him of, oh he was part of that predatory lending and all the rest of it but he seems like a sharp operators hedge fund guy last time we looked. It used to be Goldman Sachs. And he just seems like a guy that has a clue. I want to mention something here from my own personal experience

40:33 This idea that if you're on one side of the fence, you go to the other side of the fence and become a regulator. That this is as bad as conflict of interest. Oh, you used to work for a bank so you can't regulate banks? Well, that's not entirely true. You want people who know how it works to go in and stop the corruption? Yes you want insiders so they can say oh we're not going to let this go on or you say well this is the way it actually works but people don't know it but you don't want to go after that because its gonna screw things up because you know the business I used to work at an oil refinery as a chemist, but I was working in the oil refinery. You get into the scene you had kind of part of the milieu of the oil refiners, the oil refiners and stories. So when when you're part of the scene what do you guys do for fun? You hang out and talk gushers about oil gushers

41:21 Gusher. That was a gusher, man. Yeah, the Gushers. It's a joke there. So we then I became an air pollution inspectors and the first thing they did when I was an inspector, the first assignment they gave me was another oil refinery. And I felt that was the perfect assignment because I knew enough about it to know in business with extreme but I knew what was going on. I didn't know when they were bullshitting me." That's the big problem that you have, you find it with journalists a lot of them go into something... Adam- Now let me ask you question about that? At any point did anyone approach you with what might've been possibly seen as a bribe to close one eye during your inspections? Dan- Never.

42:06 That never happened. Apparently, it just didn't happen I think it happened with some other inspectors that came from New Jersey. Oh yeah. Well apparently the air pollution district there is all paid off. Yeah hello. The guy told me he says oh thats all they do and no there's none of that especially Santa Rosa extremely professional um And they, you know, they had a guy assigned to me and I could go wherever I wanted. Or I get to go into the place and drive around and look at this in that. And I'm sure they steered me away from something that was a problem. And of course there were like puppy dogs when some bad was going on. We're fixing it right away. Yeah did you actually write someone up? Did you have to call for TPS reports in like a real government A-hole where you liked that? No we actually had these notifications of violations that we wrote out

42:54 Hand them over excellent. Excellent I just needed the sunglasses and some sort of a helmet yeah, yeah in a billy club Tap, tap, tap. Hey! Nice. Very nice. So that's nonsense and people keep bringing that up they're naive anyone who you hear says well he used to work there so he's gonna... He's not going be a good regulator You're very naive to think that and the mainstream media will promote it because they have in fact the whole world of journalism promotes the idea of neutrality though you can be a journalist this is the problem I find with modern journalists who cover tech

43:33 They get buffaloed. Oh yeah, because they've never been in tech they weren't hobbyists or they weren't interested in computers let's say or anything else have phones and they'll go into somebody will just Buffalo them to lie to him And, oh okay whatever. They don't know any better you don't get buffaloed if your actually been in that business. It's interesting you bring that up the intercept had a pretty big article about technology companies and they asked for some reason it was like ok we have a good idea let's go ask tech companies if they would build the muslim database the registry database

CHAPTER 11 / 35 Discussion

IBM, Muslim Registry Database Controversy

The Intercept reports that IBM CEO Ginni Rometty offered the company's services to the Trump administration, sparking fears of a potential Muslim registry. The discussion references Edwin Black's research into IBM's historical involvement with the Nazi regime during World War II, specifically the use of Hollerith punch card machines to track populations.

ginni rometty· ibm· muslim registry· the intercept· edwin black

44:12 Which of course is kind of an... although we're in millions of databases, every individual and certainly in government databases. If you have... how about PreCheck? TIA? Whatever! You know, you're in databases but okay they asked nine tech firms if they would help the government create a Muslim registry database And the only one that said outright no was Twitter But the one that jumped on it right away and wrote a personal letter to President-elect Trump, offering congratulations and the services of her company is our old friend who is no stranger to databases. That would be Ginny Rometty of IBM!

44:55 Oh God. And we need to remind everyone... What a mistake that was, I mean talk about a publicity nightmare! Yes even the image on this story is her with her back and kind of dark shroud and then the big IBM logo and i think maybe we should revisit for a moment your friend who actually did the documentary about IBM's involvement in World War II with the Germans yes yeah Ed Black who Absolutely underplayed. He's on the level of Cy...Cy Hirsch. Cy Hirsch, he may even be on it because he does deeper research but Ed Black busted IBM and became a huge story in 60 Minutes for providing the Nazis all of the holo-rith machines that were gonna sort Jews

45:50 You know, send them to various camps efficiently. They had punch cards. So they had a big database even though it was on punch cards. It was punch card database but it was the same thing and yeah then so IBM is gonna do it again? She obviously doesn't know this! Doesn't know the history of IBM that's for sure Yeah that's idiotic well she'll be reminded of the history Well she's on notice The best podcasting universe has just made it known Stupid. But the intercept knew because they put her front and center Oh, yeah! But no mention of it in the article Disappointing for a 250 million dollar WordPress blog You'd expect so much But don't mention of the holo-rith thing? No Really?! No really none whatsoever Front and center Whatsoever I have not been able to find the full recording Because it interests me incredibly

CHAPTER 12 / 35 Discussion

Harvard Post-Mortem, Kellyanne Conway vs. Clinton Campaign

A heated post-election forum at Harvard University featured clashes between Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and Clinton aides like Jennifer Palmieri. The Clinton team accused the Trump campaign of providing a platform for white supremacy and the alt-right. Conway defended the campaign's strategy, focusing on the Electoral College and connecting with working-class voters in counties previously won by Obama.

kellyanne conway· harvard university· jennifer palmieri· steve bannon· alt-right

46:48 There was a post-mortem conversation at Harvard between the Clinton and the Trump campaigns. I have a report on this that has some of the clips going back and where they go back and forth, but to hear the whole thing. I'd love to... I have four minutes of it which is probably more than i have now here's what a little background on this every year after the election at Harvard has a little forum and they bring in all the campaign managers and people from both parties sit there and civilly discuss what went right, what went wrong. How this worked? How that worked not this year. No Clinton campaign comes in and they just accusatory you are exploiting white racism. You're a racist! And they're giving it to Kellyanne Conway. Yeah. And she's trying to defend herself. And by the way as well just mentioning her name because I have some other stuff with her in it she seems to be the press

47:51 go between. When did that begin? They're always going to her, she's like the press secretary the way she is and she's not a press secretary type. No but she is very good! Yeah she's good but... Are they still considering Laura Ingraham to be this? I don't think so. She would- I don't think that would ever happen. She's too nasty. Alright so this is from PBS, this Harvard report Yeah, it is. But at Harvard University top officials of his campaign clashed with Clinton campaign managers at a normally civil post-election review. Clinton aid said the Trump campaign fueled racism

48:37 I would rather lose than win the way you guys did. Do you think I ran a campaign where white supremacists had a platform? You're going to look me in the face and tell me that it's in Kelly? Do you think you could have just had, I found that interesting because I've heard it a couple of times now instead of using the correct phrase are gonna look me in the eye and say that why do you think she said you can look me in the face is that maybe as a woman thing I don't understand. You gotta look me in the face yeah I mean, you didn't even catch that. That's interesting. Well, I've heard it three times now and like why would you say look me in the face? It has to be a woman thing that we don't understand and it probably has something do with arresting bitchface or one of these terms. You'll have to ask around yes. Ask around this is worth looking into. I agree so we're still looking at platform. Are you going to look me in the face and tell me that it did Kelly? Do you think he could have just had a message for the white working class voters

49:33 There were also sparks when Clinton aides noted that their candidate won more votes than the president-elect. You guys won, that's clear you won the Electoral College... That was the fight right? Let's be honest don't act as if you have some popular mandate for your message The fact of the matter is is it more Americans voted for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump Hey guys we won! You do not have to respond Today Trump supporters moved to block recounts in Wisconsin Pennsylvania and Michigan I think it's worth it to play a little bit of the full recording that I have.

50:27 Yes, I'd like to hear it. But I know that...I heard one recording, I think it was on RT where they're yelling at each other and Kellyanne is going that's crap! That's crap! Kind of interstitially Yeah, let's see. In the PBS report they took that out. I by no means have the full thing but if anyone has a copy i'd love to have it to make some clips for Thursday show because I think this is really good. It's providing a platform for white supremacists so this is uh the Clinton communications director what did I forget her name? makes me brilliant. I would rather lose than win the way you guys did. No, you wouldn't. Yes! That's very clear today no you wouldn't respectfully. How exactly did we win? Now go for it Jen how exactly do we went I'd like to know because I sacrificed four months of my life to do excuse me and we did this is something that Kellyanne Conway deploys very effectively and it's something that Trump does as well and its extremely rude but it works

51:42 When someone is going blahblahblah they interrupt you and you go, excuse me. Somehow it works! Well, Kelly we have to remember the background... I'm probably one of the few people that remember the background of Kellyanne Conway because it was a fan of hers in the mid-to late 1990s she was the progenitor as far as I'm, I can tell of Anne Coulter, Laura Ingram and a bunch of other people because she's the first cute blonde and she was pretty cute back this 20 years ago. She still cute but you can tell she's older

52:22 But she was really cute, but she was a cute Monica. What's her name is another one of them? She was fiery cute and she was blonde and a fast talker kind of a bench up I think Ben Shapiro developed himself out of her and she could hold her own against anybody on these talk shows And she would always be dropped in right this is during the Clinton administration by the way She'd be dropped in as the conservative girl who would just could take on anybody. And so she's very experienced in this kind of debating and she is watching a pro. Oh yeah, so whether she picked it up from Trump or vice versa it is extremely effective and there's something about this I think the American psyche...and you have to say it just right. You can't say excuse me! No, you can't see got to say excuse me! You gotta extend that a little excuse me and then you grab the floor immediately and it works

53:18 Really interesting. No, because I sacrificed the last four months of my life to do it excuse me and we did it and we did it by looking at the schedule and looking at yes The electoral map of 270 because that's how you win the presidency And we went places and we were either ignored or mocked Roundly by most of the people in this room But I have a smile on my face at all times true She always had a smile on her face and we did it by focusing with Steve Bannon and Dave bossy and everybody You see here They're gonna say oh she just said Cory was part of the campaign Jeff Zucker Okay, Tori until whatever. What was that? June and we focus on how you win. We connected with voters. What concerns me is hiring himself... You know we've already gone through some of the examples of his own language as his own positions that I believe are at odds with my value as an American of embracing diversity inclusivity in

54:11 equality and hiring someone like Steve Bannon who has an ad, who would Breitbart. You guys... And this by the way gives you such an insight into how people are really thinking and of course how the media is... Man there's a list I put in the show notes of all the journalists who have exchanged emails with John Podesta it's quite a lot It's quite including the fact check false girl. She's also in his email, you know? So this is interesting to listen to spend a few minutes on platform. You say things doesn't make it true. My proudest moments of her as her standing up and saying with courage and clarity, courage and clarity, even in some words and Donald Trump's own words, the platform

54:59 that they gave to white supremacists, white nationalists. And it is a very important moment in our history as our country and I think as his presidency goes forward, I'm going to be very glad to have been part of the campaign that tried this chance... Hey Jen do you think- Excuse me she said white supremacist. Well I would actually like to follow up on your specific about that. No sorry no worry. I know it's mentioned a lot on your website too Do you think I ran a campaign where white supremacists had a platform? Are you gonna look at my face and tell me that? Look at you in the face again! Kelly, I really do. You think you could have just had a message for the white working class voters? Do you think this woman who has nothing in common with anyone but that's over 200 counties that President Obama won and Donald Trump just one. You think that's because of what you just said or because people aren't ready for woman president really happen

55:47 How about it's Hillary Clinton? She doesn't connect with people. How about they have nothing in common with her? You had no economic message. Guys, I would... We are! You guys are not... They want this to be about strategists that's right you guys are punching down. It's unbelievable. You guys are punching down what's going on? What does that even mean? I don't know maybe we should maybe we should uh do what we usually do Punching down. I don't think you're going to find it in the knowledge of punching down. Urban dictionary punch up, punch down mean ask Dr Vinny the wine spectator oh a guy who has credits. Well that punching down is a methodology for winemaking. There you go there's what it is stop making wine yeah what else could it mean?

56:40 Yeah, well this is you want me back when you buy as it look for example You can find the owners and ask them to use a punchdown technique or a pump over okay? Well maybe they're talking about wine. I don't know I haven't heard this one punch down punch down punching down There's another Steve Bannon as the CEO of Breitbart. He himself has said that was a platform for the alt-right. Folks from the platform, just two weeks ago in the rise of the all right which is now part of the mainstream of our politics America is for white people so don't tell me... That's the thinking John! America is for white people. ...politics America is for white people and that is the kind of platform

57:27 That is the kind of, there's a video of it. No no no prove yourself for what you just said I think she was referring to the hail trump video I think There's a video of it Karen prove yourself okay? Prove yourself The alt-right is the mainstream American politics. No, I said now they've come to the mainstream part of what Donald Trump did in this campaign was to mainstream the alt right? I actually have a question about that specifically for the Clinton campaign which is... By bringing Steve Bannon into the campaign and now appointing him to the White House and Jeff Sessions potentially as our Attorney General you will never believe all the white people say which is very gracious. You're bitter, I said that just goes on like that. There's got to be more and I would love to hear it. Let me just jump into two things that were said there one was Hillary Clinton had no message didn't connect with voters of course is easy for the winning party to say that why don't we listen to Andrea Mitchell known elitist

CHAPTER 13 / 35 Discussion

Hillary Clinton, Gender and Cultural Liberalism

Media analysts Andrea Mitchell and Mark Shields discuss why Hillary Clinton failed to connect with voters. Mitchell notes focus group data suggesting voters viewed Clinton as a "commander in chief" but lacked a sense of her humanity. Shields argues that the Democratic Party has become too focused on cultural liberalism and LGBTQ issues at the expense of the working class.

hillary clinton· andrea mitchell· mark shields· nancy pelosi· lgbtq

58:25 on MSNBC's because she has the research and she knows what happened. They were very protective of her, and the reason was they were hurting because not only because she lost and she is in pain there in pain but because it was so nasty coming from the other side people don't like her you know that's what they were saying your candidate is not relatable and what Mandy Grunewald said all of her focus groups showed that people related to Hillary Clinton as a man as though she was a commander of chief. She said, I've elected six women senators! I've never had a candidate people view her as a man they did not see the humanity in her. Wow how about that huh? Clip of the day. Vote for me, I'm Hillary! Dynamite huh? That's it yeah but that's a radical interpretation i think the better one which i have

59:21 is shields and Brooks to this is the analysis and this is not Brooke you know who's the disbursed lost control yeah in The New York Times. This is Mark Shields, the guy who represents the Democrats in this by this debate that these two, this fake debate these two have. Going to the center would violate all the momentum you feel on the left but I do think there's some case to be made for it Are you saying that's what happened in this election? I mean in 2016 Well they culturally lost...I mean part of the problem is simply Democrats as individuals not as a political party are moving to very few places and so their clustering and that's just a demographic problem for the party.

1:00:15 since 1960. I mean so the Democrats are not competitive in large swaths of the country, they're a coastal party and I think Nancy Pelosi bears some of the burden on this. I think they've become too culturally liberal a party. to emphasize LBGTQ issues rather than working class issues of people in declining incomes and families falling behind, carrier jobs leaving. I mean that has been the Democrats have become a party that quite honestly is more emphasizing the cultural issues and i think thats been to their disadvantage at national appeal.

CHAPTER 14 / 35 Discussion

The View, Jeff Sessions and "Electile Dysfunction"

The hosts deconstruct a segment from The View regarding the appointment of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General and his alleged history of bigotry. The discussion turns to "electile dysfunction," a theory presented on the show that women are losing their sex drive or rushing to get IUDs due to fears that the Trump administration will revoke access to birth control.

the view· jeff sessions· whoopi goldberg· iud· birth control

1:01:02 I kinda like that analysis. Oh God, I don't know why I repressed that. You're gonna like it! Let's listen to the views opinions on this... What are the ratings on The View? They must be really good. They're not bad for daytime. Yeah. They're competitive But they are the voice for women in America on television during the day you know then later we get Ellen Well i think Ellen is more of a voice for women in America but this

1:01:44 Yeah. By the way, they voted for Hillary as a man you know that is also a little bit of covert language that she's a dyke and I say specifically that not lesbian but you know that's kind of calling her out maybe i'm reading too much into it uh here's... It might actually be you might be reading to little! You never know now also in your clip they talked about Jeff Sessions Yeah, Jeff Sessions. Okay well Jeff sessions came out by the way I've been in contact with his office and called him twice maybe you didn't record it you're gonna record the call no it's illegal oh that's right yeah sorry um No I do it for information like sometimes I called them first time I ran into him I read calls and got their

1:02:34 She turned me on to some sites that have these videos that I can get, that the Senate actually produces not C-SPAN. And these don't go on C-SPAN and also I thought they were there a day to get me off the phone but at least talk to me and they were very cordial it seemed like a very professional operation so you know I take it that Sessions is probably a decent manager as opposed to Chaffee who They won't even return calls. They won't send you emails that they promised, they're douchebags! And what was your question for Sessions? He was on a couple of the committees during... This is when I first called him during an era when the Senate was run by the Democrats and he was working with White House on one of the environmental things. And he had said some things that I needed to get hold of the original

1:03:28 video, so I could take a clip from it. And I did get a clip from it and I was asking him how to do this and where I could get in all this other stuff and maybe some follow-up questions but they were very cordial that seemed like kind of... But they weren't gonna let me talk for too long. Okay well the view discussed The view discussed and by the way also is sessions he denies all this supposed racism when we have Hillary, you know with big buddies of bird who was a Ku Klux Klan member ku klux klan and I don't know why what they've got against Sessions. All they said for one thing He's extremely global warming skeptical hmm Well, they don't talk about that

1:04:12 And then this isn't a joy or whoopie who are talking it's the It's the right-wing girl. I forget her name kind of right wingy girl and then Sonny Hauston Who is not only not a right-wing girl? She is a broken record The secret word his bigot cards that we can play. We can play the sexism card very easily, the racism card can also be played it could be so dangerous I know but one thing you know we looked at the hiring of Jeff Sessions for Attorney General and these were unfounded accusations from 30 years ago. He's a bigot! But listen, if your in court rooms our claps here

1:04:54 I'm not defending Jeff Sessions. But listen, if you look at the whole scope we go by facts. There was no facts there's it was completely unsubstantiated He had a lot of assistance United States attorney sat on that oath Okay just but just let me finish so Jeff Sessions also prosecuted members of the KKK Jeff sessions is right-hand man for a very long time that he hired with an African American He championed and advocated for Rosa Parks It doesn't matter he's a bigot he's a bigot I don't care what you say he's a bigot

1:05:45 The view ladies, uh come up with the idea worst. Remember I said that they should the women of America if they really wanted to stop Donald Trump should have employed Lissa Strada no more sex No more sex i tell you Well, the view kind of has heard of this but nah they got it backwards. So here's my question, is Trump causing electile dysfunction? I think women feel the need to assert their authority and their power. Because they saw this guy come to power... They can see your bedroom. Yeah! You know like they feel like this guy came into power who didn't respect women And you know sex for women i think it a vulnerable experience more than men. What?! Hello? Hello? I don't appreciate you speaking on my behalf

1:07:03 No, that's right. We've heard this from them before Men just like to put it in... we're done! No there's no emotions or anything- NO not at all! No! Just gonna stick it in! Yeah, that's incredibly insulting. It really is. And you know sex for women I think is a vulnerable experience more than men. I think they feel vulnerable and it's their way of sort of lashing out not at their man but society like wait a minute no you do have to respect me! I am in control I can still be in control of my life even though this guy is in power now who's running the country who has said some things about women that concern- Stop stop. Did they ever mention that the majority of women

1:07:45 Voted for Trump coming right up guy is in power now who's running the country who has said some things about women that concern me and that make me a little insecure about where I'm gonna be where I'm gonna Be with my job or I'm gonna be am I going to be respected the same way what's gonna happen? To me, and I think they go into their bedroom when they face their man And it's like a powerful dynamic that they're kind of working through. I get it! This election was different if you look at the stats, I think 36 anti-women hate crimes were reported within one week of the election. Anti women? Yes yes and that's according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. And so I think to Jen's point women are feeling very vulnerable remember we talked about the fact that women after the election were going out in droves to get an IUD oh

1:08:23 Because they thought that their birth control would be taken away from them. We are impacted politically by this, but I think the sex drive does die and we are building a wall around our vaginas because I already had a couple walls. Because the guy says it's okay if he would grab a woman by her, you know what? And women are either 10 or 1 or this one is fat and blah blah blah. You voted for that schmuck?! War on men is in full overdrive. Yeah, the war on men takes precedent I like the one girl who says already have something you're gonna be able to wall around her vagina She's already have three or some shit no kidding yeah and there was something else in there that was uh Yeah it was this I thought it was kind of insulting to women which also first

1:09:24 Yeah, well it's very insulting. It makes women sound like a bunch of dingbat dummies to say that they rushed out right after the election and bought IUDs because they thought birth control would be taken away in what universe would you think that unless you're completely stupid and have been inundated by the media bullcrap? Because birth control is not being taken away from anyone ever A free... certain forms of free birth control may be taken away, I think is what they're afraid of. Oh they didn't say that! They said birth control? Why would you get an IUD?! Maybe it's because it was covered by their insurance and it won't be. But they don't break it down that way. They just say people think that birth control will no longer be available

CHAPTER 15 / 35 Discussion

Media Bias, Trump's "140 Characters" Narrative

The hosts critique the media's obsession with Donald Trump's use of Twitter, noting the constant repetition of the "140 characters" phrase. They also discuss the demand from pundits that Trump show a more "visceral reaction" to white supremacy and acknowledge James Comey's role in the election outcome.

twitter· james comey· media narrative· racism· visceral reaction

1:10:16 So are women that stupid to actually think that? Well, I think they're propagating stupidity. That's why I play these clips and this has to be stopped. Can't be stopped! Smart smart women... Final one just so you know Most of the smart women who listen our show, which most of them are pretty sharp, I would say none of them listened to this show except YOU! You're the only woman who listens to THAT SHOW Wow, you did not just say that. Did you? I'm the only woman that listens to that shit. I was just kidding! I thought it would be fun for them to get a kick out of me. Alright final clip just to pester you. So is Clinton's camp right about running a...that the Trump campaign ran a racist campaign or are they're just being sore losers? That's even overstating it. I don't think they ran a racist campaign but when she says are you gonna look at me and say we gave a platform to white supremacists- Right. That is a fact

1:11:14 It doesn't mean that everyone that voted for Trump fact. It's a fact they ran a racist In that everyone that voted for Trump is a racist I think the fact that you won just be honest it's not it's not even admitting anything yeah, the part that I find really like upsetting is that as I watch her and You're the victor. Now be okay with the facts because she gets personally offended by that but they all along their campaign, this was one of my biggest beefs with them They would jump in 140 characters constantly about everything else That's another thing I keep hearing everywhere 140 characters and 140 characters and 140 I can do it at 140 Trump at 140 It's a hundred forty characters. I keep hearing this

1:12:05 That's interesting that one you had to beg them to say oh, we don't associate with them And it took ten times to ask them right so disavowing at the very no I did was a lie Yeah It's alive take 10 times Oh dig exaggerate every is avowing at the very end which Kellyanne said on this show he just about he does about yeah two weeks later and we had to ask you a thousand times like if you really... A thousand? It's gone from ten to a thousand times. In five seconds it doesn't matter John, it just doesn't matter that's going-it's like this is fact this is just the fact and it's just gonna be that way and well you and I and everyone else who knows the truth will have to live with it Like if you really felt something right should've had a visceral reaction to some of the things that happened Oh he didn't have a visceral enough reaction Visceral

1:12:49 Well, I have to agree with him on one point. I think Comey coming in and out of this thing did cost Hillary some votes. Of course it did, of course it did! And so that's the only point that they make is correct. Well...I do have one more with Joy Reid. Oh Joy Reid? Yeah

CHAPTER 16 / 35 Discussion

Joy Reid, Trump's Military Sacrifice Claims

MSNBC host Joy Reid criticizes Donald Trump for his lack of military service and his five draft deferments during the Vietnam War. She claims Trump compared avoiding venereal disease to his own "personal Vietnam." The hosts also mention receiving a book by William Engdahl titled "The Lost Hegemon" regarding pipeline theory.

joy reid· msnbc· vietnam war· draft deferments· william engdahl

1:13:43 She's the one who she's a new superstar video that she's the new I don't get it cuz she's about as she's as dumb as a fireball They love got a lot of personality. Yeah, a lot of personality. I'll give you that Oh enjoy yeah, and she's a total bigot yes Yes, but he has a new angle if he has a new hangul joy read We're doomed. Remember, you know Donald Trump who did not serve his country who was a you know the correct age The appropriate age to go to Vietnam got five deferments has never was never asked about it by the way on during the entirety of The campaign for 18 months no one ever aren't you in the news business? Why didn't you ask the question? I asked him To defend the fact that he's never sacrificed anything for this country and said not getting a venereal disease Not one person who had the I don't remember that did Trump say not getting a venereal disease with my Vietnam

1:14:36 Is that a quote that I missed somewhere? Uh, I don't remember that quote either. There was a couple of... he did say something about service it was his version of service with something but it wasn't had nothing to do with venereal disease. To defend the fact that he's never sacrificed what I think she just took the, this is third hand. This is getting pretty pathetic. Yeah. Anything for this country? When are they going to get over this? I mean, I don't even want to cover this anymore. The election's over! Well if it wasn't... Okay. ...I wouldn't play it if it wasn't funny. Well I've got everything- Hold on let me finish! Let me finish! She was interrupting you and then Lizzy deGlitter did. Excuse me!! I'm sorry, I should have said excuse me. Let's listen to the clip.

1:15:37 pocketbooks to their own egos, to their own needs. And he is a bottomless pit of need this is a needy narcissistic man who is not a man who understands and can conceptualize sacrifice for one's country so yeah if I had a son or daughter in the military I would be concerned. You know, Kate and Dawson this weekend on our show was talking about the fact that now anything with Trump's name on it around the world becomes a target if i'm in the military. I'm very concerned. I don't want that to be my child's mission to defend The name of trump the person of the state That isn't what we are as americans Yes, I hear the new uniforms when the democrats become these warmongers and everyone has to be in the military now not only that But they're gonna have trump on their uniform because you know that'll make them a target

1:16:25 Oh brother. I know isn't it beautiful? Unbelievable, yeah i love the bottomless pit of need That's pretty good Yeah that is good actually like that phrase hey i want to thank two people uh John let me see first of all sir cross stitch who sent me a book And I had not heard of that actually, I know the author William Engdahl The Lost Hegemon whom the gods would destroy now. He's the guy that got me on the track of pipeline theory So who knows what will come up with after I've read this tome Okay, and then there was another gift that came in but this is really nice. This is from

CHAPTER 17 / 35 Discussion

Ham Radio 360, Beanie Gift and Airstream

Kale Nelson from the Ham Radio 360 podcast sends a beanie to the show as a "value for value" gift. The hosts joke about the utility of a beanie in California versus its necessity during long operating nights in an Airstream trailer.

ham radio 360· kale nelson· beanie· airstream· winter field day

1:17:10 Kilo four Charlie Delta November kale Nelson. He's from a ham radio 360 the ham radio 360 podcast Which I've said if you want to hear good ham radio podcast, that's the one Really appreciate what you and John do with no agenda podcast Appreciate how you genuinely interact with your audience giving them a true value for value experience? I'm a stay-at-home dad of five So monetary gifts are a stretch for me right now But wanted to express my sincere thanks in the form of an HR 360 beanie Which I have on my head right now. You got a beanie? Well, hold on... I'm thinking this may come in handy during your long operating nights out of the Airstream of Consciousness especially with Winter Field Day approaching. Yeah, this is true. I hear that a beanie is pretty useless in California unless you're a metro snowflake protesting for Bernie so sorry John your baseball hat is on the way

1:18:00 Would you prefer a beanie instead of the baseball hat? No, no. I don't want to beanie You get the baseball hat But i do like the idea of you wearing a beanie in that trailer with your microphone and you'll be talking when you have A window open somebody goes walks by and rips it off some guy this trailer Talking just yakking into microphones big cans on his big headphones yeah yacking away with a beanie on your head They would...I think they'd cordon off the area Call the park ranger, quick. And with that I'd like to thank you for your courage and say in the morning to you John C where the c stands for Courage and Commitment Dvorak! Well in the morning to you Mr Adam Curry also in the morning all ships and sea boots on the ground feet in the air subs in the water and all the dames

CHAPTER 18 / 35 Discussion

Justin Trudeau, Fidel Castro Parentage Theory

A popular internet meme suggesting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is the biological son of Fidel Castro is discussed. The hosts examine the timeline of Margaret Trudeau's 1976 visit to Cuba compared to Justin's birth in 1971, while noting the striking physical resemblance between the two men.

justin trudeau· fidel castro· margaret trudeau· cuba· chelsea clinton

1:18:52 And nights out there and in the morning to Nick the rat Nick brought us the album artwork for episode 882 fact check false the title of that and of course his fabulous image His photo shop of Trudeau Castro, which a lot of people could double take yeah, but a lot of people didn't understand it I believe that's true and i think that is what made it such a good piece. Yeah, I agree It was because at first when I looked at it you mentioned something like holy crap! That's not Fidel at all! That is Trudeau with the Fidel beard And now looks just like Now here's... A lot of people wrote to me and said ah, a lot of Canadians of course this is not possible

1:19:35 The Canadians are bent out of shape over this. Oh, yeah. Let's back up the theory just to discuss this so people that maybe not listen Justin Trudeau's mom Margaret Who you described as a known slut. Yeah, well she had sex with... In a very thoughtful way. Well in a... I mean did I say slut? I don't think I said slut. Oh maybe not. Maybe that's just a term. No but she was promiscuous is the term I used and she was very promiscuous with the Rolling Stones with Charlie Watts and Mick Jagger. That's really too into the spectrum there. You're going to do Jagger AND The Accountant?! And she's a collector! She's a collector.

1:20:17 We know the type. However, the first official visit to Cuba was in 1976 not prior to 1971 when Trudeau was born so but that of course is an official visit we don't know about what else might have happened well you could always go to Cuba from Canada Yeah, yeah. I don't think it's ever been blockaded from travel from Canada. I don't believe you're wrong. I know that's the way everyone who has been going into Cuba recently before they enter the blockade to go through Canada or Mexico and uh... You get a paper documents and they take them out of your passport nobody knows that you went there so is possible that she could have but if the dates don't match up your right

1:21:04 But the coincidental look, I mean the guy has the same eyes and that cute little smile. Look Castro! Hey but you know it's okay Candanavians we all know that Chelsea Clinton isn't actually Bill's kid We know that too, were no better than you Are they throwing that at us? No I'm saying hey we know how it works Yeah we know its Webster Hubbles' Kid come on Anyway I was at lunch with one of my liberal friends. One of the last ones? If you live in California, all your friends are liberals and... Wait! You were out of the house?! Yeah. Wow. Yeah, actually went to an event last night too. Oh! Yeah that New York Times held an event for Markov who's retiring. Oh how old is he 40? And so I went into this thing What? How old is he? Like 64-65 He's gonna retire huh? Well okay yeah So he went to the even

CHAPTER 19 / 35 Discussion

John Dvorak, New York Times Retirement Event

John Dvorak recounts attending a retirement event for New York Times journalist John Markoff. He describes the atmosphere of the event, which featured robots, and his experience introducing himself as a "podcaster" to a crowd of traditional media elites. Dvorak also mentions a brief discussion with attendees about the popular vote in California.

john markoff· new york times· silicon valley· podcasting· robots

1:22:03 We don't know what he's gonna do. It was free lunch, is that why you went? No it was a night time thing as I went because they were hounded to go to be honest about it. I mean I see Markoff all the time and I don't need to go to these events but... Yeah yeah yeah it was a thing for a friend you gotta show up otherwise your'e a douche You got to go on your local, ya have no excuse. I did have a wake or not awake but a funeral I could've gone too Wait wait wait whose funeral?! Bill Macron died and I had invited to the funeral. I couldn't get back there because it's, you know...I just couldn't do it. You went to the next best thing? I went to the other things. Because all your friends are either retiring or dying. There is not much else to do This is no good!

1:22:44 This is the way it goes. I was, when I was talking to my liberal friend that we were having lunch with and one who lost a bet that we talked about previously. He brought up he's like a fretter. He just frets. He's worried his death, he's going to drop dead any minute. You know the kind? And I brought up this story which i think is true once you get over 60. I think this is when it sets in When you watch television or you watch an event and they have the guys dead died, a guy died and they have his year of birth and year of death at the bottom. They have these two dates you always make the calculation well I was born 10 years after that so i could probably live another ten years or oh shit this guy's younger than me! And so you start doing this just kind of routinely and he admits he does the same thing. I know I do it

1:23:34 Yeah, I don't do it yet. You probably don't. But because of you and other people who are a little older than I am in my life...I do consider it then here's how it works Holy crap if Dvorak dies. I'm got no job That's how that different, that's how it goes It's different I can say the same thing you get hit by a bus. Yeah, we're dying mold poisoning yeah well there you go Anyway, so it was a funny event. It was filled with robots and there were a couple people there I could have yacked at but instead I just passed them you know met as many people as I could introduce myself and talked about The No Agenda Show. Did you bring CDs? Now I would have been gauche Wait! You bumped into someone who listens to the show

1:24:26 Yeah, he's actually one of the... He's a writer up in Oregon and he was down for something from Marcos thing. And then he said oh yeah no agenda and we talked a little bit about podcasting and the future and all the rest. Everybody thinks podcasts is the future ran into two quite gorgeous women who one of them is a podcast junkie Oh! I definitely got them to listen to this show at some point although they'll be sick and tired What were they doing there? Apparently, they weren't there to see Markov. Their husbands were! And so they were just talking amongst themselves. So you're chatting up the married gals? Yeah. Hey girls... I'm John C. Duroc. Sure didn't have heard of me Well here's what's funny about that and i think this is a trend

1:25:12 As I introduced, I was talking about the show because this one girl says what do you do? And that's what I said the whole time. This was kind of a humiliating thing where you're not a writer anymore. What do you do for...what do you do? Did you actually did you say it? You said yes! Oh no! Yes to everybody. I'm a podcaster. Do you say it a little too loud as well like I'm a podcaster Probably. So, but when you say you're a podcaster in this group is like the New York Times of East Coast kind of bent? Yeah They're all impressed! Wow That's cool I thought so. So i'm talking to these two women and one of them as I mentioned The No Agenda Podcast she's on her phone and she got my whole bio up

1:25:58 Oh, I see you went to Cal. He says to me, so what are you doing? What are you doing due diligence on me? Apparently that's what I think a lot of people do nowadays as soon as they meet you. What we need for you John is one of those round buttons, a little too big like a vote for Hillary button only will say, I'm a podcaster ask me about my podcast. Yes. Wouldn't that be great? I'm a podcaster or how about asking me Ask me about podcasting. Okay, so they both went home with you? Yeah So they both went home with you to see your studio You're losing your touch I'm getting I've lost it I've lost my touch two years ago and But it was a very interesting eventful night because they got to see if you people haven't seen for a long time

1:26:51 You're all, again we didn't talk much. I did get to drop a few political bombs in there. Oh no! Well my meme about well Hillary won the popular vote because California gave her three million votes more than Trump and that's where that comes from it's just California. How did they respond to that? Most people said oh i never thought of that. And this is journalists and writers yeah and hot babes what a life Yeah, life of a broadcaster. Life of a bon vivant podcaster. Bon vivant podcaster! Now you're talking. Bon vivant. All right let's thank our executive and associate executive producers Mr. Duvoreg. Well we have a few people not a lot but we have one of our Archduke of the Pacific Northwest Dwayne Melanson. Sir Dwayne

CHAPTER 20 / 35 Discussion

Producer Credits, Donations and Karma

The hosts read through the list of Executive and Associate Executive Producers for Episode 883. Major donors include Sir Dwayne Melanson, Sir David Killian, and Sean Dolan. A request for "jobs karma" is fulfilled, and the hosts send well-wishes to those affected by Hurricane Otto in Costa Rica.

1:27:50 who was just moving his way to become Grand Duke as fast as he can with $883 flat. So, he's actually got the show number. Oh fantastic! Yeah, as much as I enjoyed clicking on that... we'll give him a triple credit on this too. Enjoyed clicking on the selfie and seeing the 800 donation there. I felt the need to join the 883 club Keep up the outstanding analysis and yes, please play a sharp and flub or two with karma to all knights and dames. All right thank you very much Sir Dwayne. Thanks good evening to you Ed! Is this crown hog day 2? Since Brown County Wisconsin where I live already has a baron, I didn't know that but i think they did. Hereby cite my sites of one day becoming the Baron of Lake Of The Woods both US and Canadian sides where I hope to one day execute my duties from Flag Island Minnesota nuts

1:29:34 When I was first introduced to No Agenda, I received the much-needed confirmation that i was not going crazy for distrusting a lot of what I heard on the news. A common kind of a common comment...I am just gosh darn elated to have had no agenda in my life keeping me sane since around show 290 Shout out to producer Adam Weisner for introducing me to the best podcast in the universe. I'm 29 years old and working on a second bachelor's degree at U-dub, U-dub University of Wisconsin Green Bay you should see the priceless look on the faces of my millennial colleagues when i tell them there are two Obamas. I bet that works yeah yeah You would get a look that's for sure Let me guess not getting laid?

Love and lights for Kyle Kinzel Knight. Now I'm gonna give him some karma You've got karma. Nice words, man! Thank you so much. That was very pleasant. David Killian who never sends me an email from Clinton Illinois came up with $333 and 33 cents that was a check that came through the banking system and had no note. It's Sir David because I know he is... And I don't have any email from him either. No email He just unselfishly contributes to the future of this show

1:31:08 Sean Dolan in Miami, Florida $200. He does have a little note here I'm a new listener. I've only been part of the no agenda audience for six months Please keep up the good work it is appreciated I would like a double dose of karma for the thousands of people who have lost their homes businesses loved ones in Northern Costa Rica due to Hurricane Otto oh yeah Thank You tall Shawn listening from Perta Vita Costa Rica absolutely sending out some karma those people You've got Carmen remember we we shook the rain stick on Thursday Remember pouring buckets. CHAPTER 21 / 35 Discussion

Electoral College, Death Threats and TV Parallels

Reports emerge of presidential electors in Michigan receiving death threats and intense pressure to change their votes before the December 19th deadline. The hosts note that recent storylines in television shows like Veep and Madam Secretary have mirrored this exact scenario, questioning if the media is priming the public for a contested election in the House of Representatives.

electoral college· death threats· michigan· veep· madam secretary

1:34:04 And then we can go to your video. I don't remember which one, I do this to you all the time. But this is the one that just clip, but I want to get it out of the way. This is a clip where they're death threat. This is...I feel bad about the Democrats being so upset that they can't do their thing in Harvard without screeching at each other and the death threats now to electoral college folk By the way, which is against the federal laws. You can't try to influence an election through threats United States following Donald Trump's victory an elector from a state that the president elects one says he has faced pressure and even death threats To change his decision in the electoral college vote later this month a youth of vice chairman of the Michigan Republican Party Michael Bernerian described to us the messages that he received

1:34:51 Unfortunately, this election cycle is pretty divisive on both sides of the aisle and that's bled over into the weeks following it. And as a presidential elector for Michigan unfortunately I've just been inundated with hundreds and hundreds of emails Facebook messages letters to my home about four or five a day tweets And in those messages, unfortunately some of them have been death threats, death wishes and just generally angry, angry messages from people who can't accept the results of the election. When US electoral college voters are also facing other kinds of pressure ahead of the official election on December 19th more than 4.7 million people have signed a petition calling on electors to ignore their state's votes and instead cast their ballots for Hillary Clinton among electors themselves some have been trying to convince others To vote for a compromised Republican candidate in a bid to stop Trump Yeah, we already know that well this I know that that's

1:35:51 The thing that I find interesting about this is that three, no two television series have had this form of scenario because what they are talking about and I've looked at some of the numbers and reports that are being bandied around. Uh, the idea is to get the vote to the house instead of the uh, the electoral college because whatever they want to try and do would somehow stop the 270 electoral votes And what's interesting about it to me is that on both Veep and Madam Secretary, in both cases they've had similar storylines about elections with the woman in election and going to the House of Representatives for the final vote. It's just noteworthy. I wonder whether those are not coincidences?

CHAPTER 22 / 35 Discussion

Last Man Standing, Microaggressions and Yoga

A clip from the sitcom Last Man Standing featuring Tim Allen mocking "microaggressions" is compared to real-world events. The hosts discuss the University of Ottawa canceling yoga classes due to concerns over "cultural appropriation" and "cultural genocide," highlighting the rise of social justice warrior culture in academia.

tim allen· microaggressions· university of ottawa· cultural appropriation· yoga

1:36:45 I wonder if the Lear operation has got anything to do with this story. You gotta think, you gotta think they're part of that no doubt. There's so much... Oh crap! I might as well play this now just here's a fine example of the Lear Foundation at work no doubt about it maybe was done tongue-in-cheek? Tongue in cheek maybe? No This is last man standing Tim Allen you know, who will never work again in Hollywood. So maybe that's why he's doing this stuff." This is a little clip from one of the most recent episodes where his...he has to write some speech or something for his daughter's school and so he writes his speech and then the speech has to be sent in to be checked by

1:37:33 the officials at the school to see if you know, it's okay. Well here it is. Well I hate to brag... I'm kidding! I love to brag. It's fantastic yeah? And we're good under pressure. I'm kind of like Lincoln in that way He was so great they want to kill him off at the end of the first movie Do you want me give you some notes before he sends it in? What? Send it in what do you mean? The faculty committee needs to approve it after they check for microaggressions So he concedes.

1:38:32 Yeah, it's funny. I have a clip just to follow up that clip with a clip that is similar only this is real This is a clip of an RT clip Let me see if we can find the name of it here Censored Books? It actually follows the set... yeah well no it's the Censored Books Yoga Clip Okay Does it need a setup? Not really Educational establishments have seen controversy before with perceived political over-correctness. Warwick University stopped a human rights campaigner from giving a speech amid fears that she would incite hatred on account of her atheism. The University of Ottawa cancelled yoga classes over quote cultural appropriation and cultural genocide concerns I think we'd heard that wouldn't happen in the States as well someone who was doing yoga

CHAPTER 24 / 35 Discussion

Newsweek, Madam President Magazine Error

Newsweek editor Matthew Cooper explains how the "Madam President" commemorative issue was mistakenly distributed before the election results were finalized. He reveals that these special issues are often subcontracted to outside firms and are not reviewed by the actual Newsweek editorial staff, leading to what the hosts call "throne sniffing" content.

newsweek· madam president· matthew cooper· advertorial· commemorative issue

1:42:15 I don't want to take you off the track, but before you do that, weren't you going to talk about some video? I don't like to see a T something and then no. I wanna know because we went off on this track. I'm gonna come around to the video in a moment. Okay. Right. We recall that Newsweek was one of the first news agencies to be put together by the distributed like a hundred thousand Madam President magazines. And of course they also had the President Trump magazine, but they actually distributed the Madame President Magazine. Did you ever get ahold of one? I know you were talking about it. No. Because of course they are collector's items. Yes. Well, The True Backstory is even more frightening regarding Newsweek now Newsweek

1:42:59 Uh, back in the day my I know remember my parents used to subscribe. But I think my mom when I left the house gave me a subscription for Christmas to Newsweek paper subscription But of course it then went full digital. It got bought and sold too. Yeah, you're right. Bloomberg was the last owner that I know of. They may still own them. So then they decided to come out and do a print edition there was a big whoa we're doing print! We're going crazy over here! We're doing print!! Well turns out there's a lot going on behind-the-scenes in the print. Here is the political editor of Newsweek Matthew Cooper Do you know him?

1:43:42 I never heard of him. He's going to explain what happened, what went wrong. Let's write the news... Wait, wait, International Business Times bought Newsweek from The Daily Beast? I don't think that Bloomberg owned them, they owned BusinessWeek Well, here's his explanation of what happened. Newsweek like a lot of publications puts out special commemorative issues Yeah You've probably seen them on the news as you know 75th anniversary of D-Day or we have one ad about Harrison Ford's acting career I thought this was very interesting! I didn't realize that that was the big money maker these days for magazines Uh...I think i know that yeah

1:44:22 So all these little specials, that's really how they make their money. Micro collectibles yeah. Micro collectible? Hold on... Isn't that what we call a giblet? It is similar but it is specific to Amazon. Micro collectibles. Well, apparently that's where the money is made. This is a big part of the magazine business now and what we did for the election was the company that we subcontract to as you said in the intro produced two additions one President Trump the other Madam President they They both, you know the madam president one mistakenly went out which was the first embarrassment. Yeah that should never have happened but really as you say the writing in this is shall we say not up to the editor's standards of music? Pure throne sniffing I mean it's just like a DNC talking point so who on your staff wrote that

1:45:12 Well, no one on our staff read it. Again we subcontracted out to a company... But when you read it before it went out what did you say? No, we didn't in that sense. You mean you didn't read it before it went out? See, we subcontract these commemorative issues to the company and this is pretty common in the magazine business now so uh... It's sort of been done on a separate track and we did not review it before it went out But what if they had really printed my income for something? I mean you know, it's a mic off that would have been even worse There's no question look even though we didn't you know over at regular news week didn't put it out You know were ultimately responding. No having a year old. Yeah, I think that's pretty interesting

1:45:49 Not only did they not... Yeah, that's not really much of a surprise to me. Right I think what you're seeing is these what used to be called advertorials where all the magazines did it They'd hire somebody an outside firm usually some sort of company that does this as a specialty They have a bunch of writers and they're competent And they, you just give them the money. They do the whole special issue and it just goes in as an insert but they've decided to turn their magazine business inside out and make what would be an insert Into the magazine right and it's called the magazine that they didn't even read it. They put their name on it well That did that yeah, I'm not buying that completely because in fact I'm not buying it at all Because I did a couple of these myself And I remember doing one for our magazine and they didn't like what I did and they rewrote I still got paid but they They looked that over believe me the I like to turn thrown sniffing though

CHAPTER 25 / 35 Discussion

Max Keiser, RT and Russian Disinformation

The hosts discuss a report on RT regarding allegations of Russian disinformation influencing the U.S. election and the Brexit vote. Adam Curry mentions an upcoming interview with Max Keiser and Stacey Herbert in Austin, leading to a humorous exchange about their personal relationship and Keiser's interest in becoming a "knight" of the show.

max keiser· stacey herbert· rt· brexit· russian disinformation

1:46:50 I like that yeah, it's thrown some of those the Rhone sniffing. Yeah So you sent me a video and it kind of tied wait wait since she brought up Newsweek Oh, hey to keep getting stands we're never gonna talk about this video. I guarantee it routine But you've got to play because news week is mentioned in this report mm-hmm And when I heard it ago This is this is but I caught this trend early like a couple shows ago or at least last show. And this is the rundown on Russian influence on voting. Oh boy, here we go. Beyond the US election and question the legitimacy of the Brexit Wait is this Guyane? Yeah. Woah dude!

1:47:31 Come on man, come on we're trying to get people close to us. On the US election and questioned the legitimacy of the Brexit vote based on the outlets assertion that quote-unquote The Russian disinformation campaign may have influenced the outcome. The underlying suggestion in many of these reports is that Russia managed to sway votes that maybe without Russia Hillary Clinton would have won or Brexit would not have happened. It creates an image of Russia as this all-powerful game changer but that suggestion seems to disregard the ability of voters who think and decide for themselves in Washington I'm gonna check out RT. Yeah Newsweek mention in there? No! Well, there's one of these clips it's very similar news week apparently is on board with the Russians

1:48:31 Of course. And Brexit? Yeah, and Brexit I'm hearing more of this by the way Guyana is not the only star on RT who we know We also know Max Keiser yeah we do and i got a note from him today this morning what did he say He said uh... Uh..We're in Austin can we interview you on Wednesday Oh! And I said hell yeah gotta do it Hell yeah but only If Tina and I can take you two out for dinner, and we're going out to dinner on Tuesday. Oh! It's a double hit? It's a double header exactly. Nice. So it's Max and Stacey. I wonder who he is gonna interview... oh Stacey Hebert Yeah his wife

1:49:16 Is that his wife? Yeah, we discussed this. Oh I can't remember for one minute yeah and actually i'm surprised he because we communicate through twitter direct message for some reason uh and you know you recall he had sent me a message saying hey i'm gonna be a knight one day haha love the show! And then we talked about Stacey and Sidney and I said are they boning or whatever And then you said that, yeah. Well that's right I remember that but then he sent me another direct message after that was like hey i heard that you wanted to know what the relationship was between me and Stacy were married and so I replied well I guess that answers the question about if your boning or not and didn't hear anything after that as like he didn't block me like he got the interview didn't blocked me or anything like oh no I hope isn't pissed off about it So I thought that was pretty bold but yeah they'll be fun

CHAPTER 26 / 35 Discussion

Pizzagate, David Icke and Global Pedophilia Rings

The "Pizzagate" controversy and broader allegations of global pedophilia rings are examined. The hosts contrast the internet research into John Podesta's art with a real-world pedophile ring bust in Norway involving 175 terabytes of data. David Icke's theories regarding reptilian DNA and "energy-sucking" elites are discussed as a potential "why" behind these crimes, alongside the use of pedophilia as a blackmail mechanism in government.

pizzagate· david icke· john podesta· norway· blackmail· reptilian dna

1:50:07 Kaiser's an interesting guy. No, I enjoy his theories and Stacey is the one that actually smarter of the two in so far as down to earth. Yeah yeah. Please keep mentioning that. I'm sure they won't listen before the interview. That's really good John! Good way to go. Good start. Good prep. I do. I am just kidding of course. Yeah. I'd like you... I would like talk about this video that you sent me. Okay here we And it kind of relates to the newsletter, which and I you know we didn't discuss you putting the photo of me and Horowitz in the newsletter. I didn't think it was a great payoff for the subject line. Well let's put it this way for one thing I don't think I needed to discuss because you tweeted it Oh no if you don't need permission I'm just saying yeah was that was it a great payoff?

1:51:00 I haven't looked at the numbers yet, but i'll tell you this much. I've been looking at...I look at numbers a lot when I do this newsletter and if I don't tease a picture the numbers drop off by 10 percent. I hear ya Did it pay off in money? If you wanted a funny picture of Horowitz and I, we have a couple that didn't put on Twitter. That's what I'm saying. Well okay then give them to me. Yeah, I'll put them in the Thursday newsletter and now there is the tease! Okay...I got a good one. Alright. But in the newsletter you talked about how no one is asking why

1:51:45 I took a basic deconstruction of today's modern news reporting. Right, right. Which should be where when where you know who went where why and then yes who went wherever whatever there is five of the Ws Yes And they leave the Y out nowadays? Yes It's not the WHO! So regarding pedophilia And this of course relates to all the research and the weird coincidences, crazy... Crazy art. All right. Pizza game. Oh right there. Okay this is the video of the Podesta house and their crazy art? Yeah yeah yeah all that stuff but that's not the video I'm talking about. Bear with me okay so i just wanted to remind people who are new to this program that for 10 years we have been talking pedo bear on this show going back to

1:52:37 Isle of Jersey to do true to the boys town actually way before any that boys town USA look for that documentary. It's still available harder and harder to find yeah, well I'll put another copy in the show notes it the copy is getting worse though May by channel 4 was never aired But it did make it out onto the interwebs back in a day of Google video before there was YouTube That's where but also Jimmy Savile and And all that stuff that's going on so it is Undeniable, and in my opinion having researched this for 10 years now. It is undeniable that there is a large correlation between people in government and pedophilia. And what I have deducted from my year of research

1:53:26 is that this is primarily now used as a blackmail mechanism so that people are, you know... will be in lockstep. Yeah totally fine. So regarding Pizzagate now it may very well be true and it would not surprise me that all these people are involved in this crazy pedophilia ring and it's interesting to me that this is all the research that's going on but meanwhile Police, politicians, school teachers were busted in an actual pedophile ring in Norway. And they have 175 terabytes of material that they've confiscated. In the UK there is a incredible scandal going on now with football trainers who have abused kids who now are professional players and are coming out and saying this

1:54:24 Why is the question that you need to be asking? Stop with the idiocy, okay. It doesn't matter we have proof for all these people but there are actually people going to jail and might want to say why why is this happening and although I certainly subscribe to a mental health issue of people who have been abused or there's a percentage of likelihood they will abuse others The video you sent me reminded me of a why question that I like the answer to. And that is the video that you send me of David Icke. Well, I would say for people who are skeptical about David Icke we like David Icke for one reason he's extremely entertaining his contrarian theories about things which i think are many off-the-wall and provably bogus in most instances

1:55:26 He presents a very interesting worldview that is just absolutely captivating. Yes, and his thesis is that there's a percentage of the population, which he pegs at about 4-5%, and he bases that on research a friend of his was doing for an iris scan database. It's in this video which is in the show notes, of course... And this guy said you know about four to five percent of all the eyes that I analyzed for this retinal scan system were clearly reptile or reptile in nature. What Eich asserts

1:56:09 is that there is a certain percentage of the population which has more reptilian DNA. We all have a reptile brain, I think that's kind of accepted and may not call it the reptile brain but this is enlarged through DNA and he of course then says well this is the bloodlines...and then he shows how all these people are connected going back until you know as long as history goes, I guess. And how you're connected to all these people including Vlad the Impaler which apparently Obama is even related to somehow but his assertion is ultimately that these reptilian people who live amongst us

1:56:51 have a hungering for the inverted world of what we have. So love and peace, no they want hate and one of the main things where they get their power from whether it's true or not I'm sure that people who do believe in it is from children who are prepubescent and they suck up this energy...and it could be possible that people actually believe this and think they get some kind of power from it, and that's why they're involved in this. You can go either way with it but that its happening is undeniable. Undeniable! But people go figure out why this is happening? That to me is much more interesting. If you figure out why maybe you can stop it just yelling about people shitty art is meaningless. The art yeah

1:57:41 It's pretty sketchy. You made an excellent point, I forget about that point now and then I don't want to talk about it. What was it? No you said geez if people looked at Miriams art they could probably come up with some crazy things too oh yeah like yeah no kidding Now uh... And I want people to know that I'm not gonna waste your time by saying oh yeah that was good whoa John look at that picture that's some crazy art looks like Jeffrey Dahmer one of his victims who gives a shit There is something definitely going on, and that's what all these great citizen journalists should be focusing on is why this happening. Well the other thing is there are numbers if you start looking into it...there are 200 thousand a year missing kids in the world that just disappear. And 200 thousand every 10 years is like 2 million. That number is too high!

1:58:38 That's way too high. And this document, I did a little research and I listened to Ike's thing he's got these throwing numbers out that I think is a little wrong in his number but I looked into it and it said about 200 thousand and there's kids just disappear they're just pure at the face of the earth yeah and uh that's like a lot. Yeah! And-and...I want to give one more data point Because I think you even sent this link to this tweet, Andrew Breitbart's tweet from what was it 2011 or 2012 before he died? You know talking about Podesta being covering up the horrible crimes that are being done to children.

1:59:21 Which again is one of those, oh look at this! This is no coincidence. It was that he was relating that to Project Veritas and the sale of baby parts from Planned Parenthood. That's what that tweet was in relation to and Podesta who of course you know worked for... Who did he work for then? He must have been He was in and out. But Podesta was, you know... Arguably you could say he was covering up for the administration or anyone who was involved with this Planned Parenthood baby parts sale. It was not about Podesta's crazy art or the pizza parlor. And if you're gonna start ganging up one way or another, you have to also take into account which I think the pro-pizza gate people call him that

2:00:14 with that crazy artist woman who has these screwball dinners where her brother... Sure, sure John. And I'm not saying that's not entirely true and I'm not saying they're not a part of it It just doesn't matter Why this is happening is what's interesting Why is it so rampant? What's the follow up on this huge Norwegian pedophile ring which has lawyers, politicians police teachers Why? Where's the follow-up on why it happened, that's all I'm asking. That's what I think would be productive because you might come up with something really interesting. Well nobody wants to do the research on this. When it comes to that particular topic as you know and having had a radio station burnt to the ground... Yes! You brought this up in public and the radio station was burned first then you were fired. I was fired their funding was taken the advertisers left

2:01:09 gone. So you're not gonna get any investigative reporters unless they're completely oblivious to everything that is imaginable, yeah? They're not going to be funded to do this investigation to find the why. No, they could be assassinated for trying to find the why it's never gonna happen. This is a pipe dream So all you got is like crackpot theories, like David Ickes. That it's just a bunch of energy-sucking alien reptilians that come from a different dimension that's backwards. Yeah, I like that. Superman comic book! Well it was great fun but at the same time you can see stuff in there that is oh no this isn't right so he's not nailing it by any means let me give you an example

CHAPTER 27 / 35 Discussion

Bohemian Grove, The Owl and Specialty Drinks

John Dvorak describes his visit to Bohemian Grove, debunking claims by Alex Jones and David Icke about a giant, active "Moloch" owl statue. He characterizes the site as a "drinking club" for old men and describes a potent specialty drink called the "Nembutal" made with 150-proof rum.

bohemian grove· moloch· alex jones· nembutal· 150 rum

2:02:03 I went to Bohemian Grove once. Yeah, well we know you're an Illuminati we know that yeah yeah i wish where's the check and one of the things i wanted to see was this this thing that everyone is always bitching about which was the uh... and by the way anyone go to this place like on weekends women go over there it's like they get a tour not impossible to go in I wanted to see this owl that both the Ike and uh, Seedman discussed. Yeah Alex Jones got in there and he filmed it when they... what is it called? Moloch's? Moloch's? Moloch! It was part of some play that they put on. Yeah no, Moloch is the child molester. Yeah and its a big giant owl. Its huge. Its part of an old tree I guess. Its like a 50 foot owl. Well I don't know if this owl has existed since the 30s

2:02:59 I specifically got to see the owl. The owl is probably about 10 feet tall, it's all rot. The whole thing has fallen apart there's no owl there anymore and it's overgrown with a bunch of like some sort of vines or something It's just nothing there you can see where was but this owl hasn't been in play for 50 years But they keep referring to and showing it, then they cite it. Oh here's an example... It's bullcrap! And I know its bullcrap because I've seen the owl. Its not there, there is no owl. I have seen the owl my children! I have been in the owl and its just a wreck. Then I'm having these... I'm just finding this eye roller

2:03:42 a complete eye roller and when they bring it up, the seed man does it and so does Ike. How long were you at? What other bullshit are they feeding? How long were you there for the whole week at Bohemian Grove? No, it was some event I got to go to. Oh it wasn't the official-official? It was just like a... No! It wasn't The Big Boy. The big event. It was an off season. Two week. Ah well no wonder. And you've got yeah the two week thing is like different. Yeah maybe there's something going on during that. I don't know but I do know that you go there and they're free. I don't know. I just know about it. I've never been to it. It's like a long time. They don't just invite any They don't like even bringing people in from California here for my I live someplace else. They could probably get invited And how were the crunchy baby toes were they tasty or?

2:04:26 All I ever found there really, there was just lots of booze. Oh really? It's a drinking club! It's a major major major drink- Who invited you can talk about that? I mean is it did they give your rules like... A friend of mine who works in Washington DC said he loved this So you can't talk about stuff that you saw there or what's the deal? I never signed anything so they can't talk about stuff but it was uneventful except for the drinking. I mean there's a lot of drinking going on and I could tell you this There's a couple of these specialty drinks that they make at some of these clubs. There's one club that's got, it's all these different little encampments there's like 50 of them and they're all different everyone's like separate little clubs and there's one that's got like Steve Miller, the Steve Miller Blues Band is in one of the clubs with a bunch of other musicians mostly music and plays that they do. Did he change the lyrics I'm gonna fly like an owl?

2:05:19 I fly like an owl. But he gives a concert, there's a bunch of... There is a lot of drinking and a lot of concerts. So basically it's Burning Man for old dudes? That's the way i think about it. More drinking than drugs Well, that's not... That's not a great report. It doesn't make me feel good! I don't have any goods but i do know one thing is all the owl and his bullcrap whatever he's talking about and other people are just oh you went to all you did you know they look at it been corrupted or something by the devil but now so your claim

2:06:00 I'm pretty sure. But, I did get it... I'm trying to start the damn jingle and every cue you give me and you step on it again! What was that? Cue again? Anything! You just when you stop talking I'm like I'm gonna break the sequence I want to take us to the D block Okay but for some reason- I have one last thing to say Alright we'll try it again I know how to make some of these crazy specialty drinks because I grilled these guys about how to do them. Oh, well stop! including the Nembutal. The Nembutal? Yes, what they call this drink Can we publish the Nembutal? I might discuss it some later day but i can tell you this much if you take a glass of this stuff and in this club that makes it You walk by this fire and you spit into the fire It's like an explosion took place because apparently mostly 150 rum

CHAPTER 28 / 35 Discussion

Final Donations, Birthday Announcements and Baronets

The show concludes with a final round of donor thank-yous and birthday announcements. The hosts discuss technical issues with PayPal subscriptions and congratulate Kyle Kinzel on his new title of Baronet. They reiterate their "value for value" model and offer a final "jobs karma" blessing.

paypal· kyle kinzel· value for value· birthday· jobs karma

2:06:57 Nebul-what? Nembutal's the name of the drink. And I just want to say one thing, already in the chat room they're already not understanding what we said They're already not understanding! They're calling us flippant about Pizzagate Didn't you hear what I said?! No they are calling YOU flippant about it. No it says John and Adam actually Well, there's no... I don't even talk about pizza. Get one way or the other this is your beach. We just had a whole conversation about it where we said- The conversation consisted of me encouraging you to talk more? Ah yes we should have sent as a baram. Yes exactly

Sir Mark Tanner in Whittier California and last but not least Sir Brett Farrell in Oklahoma. A nice list. It's a nice list. Nice little list I want to thank them all. Well, he's gotta been listening since show 10. Adam and John I'm trying to increase my PayPal automatic subscription to KnowAgenda from $1 a month to four dollars a month for your outstanding election coverage of course PayPal offers no easy way to do this i've tried canceling the one-month subscription so I could resubscribe at four dollars a month but paypal keeps giving me an error

2:13:04 Wasn't sure if you were familiar with this problem. See I think what happens and this is definitely a PayPal issue I mean for sure, I don't understand why they don't have the simple upgrade path for people who want to do that But when you cancel your subscription You're kind of saying If these guys are cancelling their no good almost like you know Like canceling a credit card transaction for some reason and so then I guess think so well This is what he's saying Well, I know a lot of people who have upgraded and they haven't gone through a rigamarole. Now, I will say this that $1 subscription which i think was only offered once... Yeah it cost us two dollars didn't it? Yeah! It's like the money loser first of all make sure you actually have that subscription working because it'll get canceled at the drop of a hat by credit card. You change your credit card that's it's canceled yeah

2:13:55 So you should be sure that it's there. And we'd like you to get rid of it because that goes into an old kind of a dormant account, and that's kinda used to pay for the servers and stuff. It would be better if it moved over via a link through the new PayPal checking account, which is a no agenda account. Which has been there for a long time but there's still these old things that are outstanding we have to get rid of I would be doubtful if this accounts still valid If you want to just find a link probably on the Dvorak.org slash NA site subscribe there to the $4 and send me an email i'll cancel your old one by hand if I have too

2:14:40 And he actually has sent you a note, which is why I didn't get the note. You know, I don't open it. No, no, where are you located? Which part of the world? Oh, I don't know where he's located. We'll find out and we'll find out anyway if anyone has any other feedback on that let us know an also I don't notice from Eric did Eric did his Daniel Danielle Did she have a birthday? Daniel Danil Danil Mackey I think Mimi had a birthday. We may not called her out She's she's claims from listening to the show maybe I'm not sure what see, I don't know when Daniels birthday is Yeah, I know well. I can't do with the make-good if I told it doesn't have a name then I can't do the make good

2:15:25 D. Yeah, d. It matters not! We again thank everyone and of course we have another show coming up on Thursday your support is always needed please remember us in our value for value proposition at devorak dot org slash n a. And for those who need it jobs jobs jobs and jobs let's vote for jobs you've got karma that's right karma everybody It's your birthday, birthday. Oh no! First of all, ladies, birthdays Lisa Stelvis's happy birthday to her daughter Amelia turned four on the 18th of November. Happy Birthday Of course from The Best Podcast In The Universe

2:16:26 And a reminder, if you want to have a birthday put on the list add it to your donation note and please do not send us your entire family's calendar. We don't have a calendar! We're not gonna keep a calendar like its celebrity birthdays. Hey here is every kid's birthday and their date could you put on the calendar? Yeah we don't have a calendar Why don't we have a calendar If you wanna do just do right before this show would be glad to do it yeah exactly just write me or send me email usually works out so okay Uh, we do have one title change today. Only one title change today no knights no dames but we do congratulate Sir Kyle Kinzel with his brand new baronet hood

2:17:28 And you're in. Thank you very much for your courage and compassion." You know, I'm thinking a couple of things. One is that we're the only show that probably discusses the pedophilia situation in any depth So it's very, very discouraging that people would be critical of our coverage which is the only coverage you're gonna find. The rest of it just a bunch of suppositions and theories oh look at these emails and then dreaming up your own code for what they're really saying which is not provable may or may not be true but this has got creepy art yes. But ya know lot of people collect creepy art. A lotta people are creepy

CHAPTER 29 / 35 Discussion

Standing Rock, Pipeline Protests and Warren Buffett

The protests at Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline are analyzed. The hosts suggest the protests may be covertly supported to protect Warren Buffett's interests in the Burlington Northern railroad, which currently transports oil. They criticize the Obama administration's lack of direct involvement, noting they have only sent "monitors" to the site.

standing rock· north dakota· dakota access pipeline· warren buffett· burlington northern

2:18:16 Yeah, yeah a lot of people are just playing creepy and a lot of them would have creepy art. You go visit them you feel comfortable in their environment? You can go have dinner there. And where's all the activists with the rubber dinghies to float up on Jeffrey Epstein's party palace there with his Lolita Express and bust in there see what's going on come on people do some real work! Yeah I would say this Well, there's one other thing about the Standing Rock North Dakota. Yeah. Cause I had a conversation yesterday because apparently the 15 or 20 hardcore vets are now going to stand with the protesters like, you know, like seal team six guys

2:19:06 And I immediately said, why? Why at this point. I am convinced remember there's President Obama isn't really doing anything what he say he sending in monitors this finally oh i'm going to send into monitors I don't know what LG monitor Samsung monitors What are you gonna do that we sending in monitors ago assess the situation as far as I'm concerned the reason why this pipeline is being protested Is because it will ruin Warren Buffett business And I think that a lot of people are being wound up to be part of this protest, which is really just slowing down the demise of the oil running on Burlington Northern when this pipeline takes over. Maybe I see it wrong but why else do we not have real involvement from the president or from the administration or from the Justice Department or whoever? Just monitors has been going on for what six weeks now? No longer than that.

2:20:08 Three months maybe, I don't know. A long time. And i'm just going to say it you know...I think this is bogus! I don't think the protesters realize that they probably all mean well. I think they're definitely sincere And if the thing gets rerouted where it's not going under the river lake or whatever they want to... Yeah, how hard can it be? Well they're gonna have to do that because this is gonna go on forever. Although this... I don't know about you but a winter in North Dakota as it gets cold... Yeah, the protesting will slow down I guess World-class miserable! Oh man finally it happened

CHAPTER 30 / 35 Discussion

United Nations, Haiti Cholera Apology

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issues a formal apology to the people of Haiti for the organization's role in the 2010 cholera outbreak. The disease was introduced by UN peacekeepers (Blue Helmets), leading to thousands of deaths. The hosts discuss the "blemish" this has left on the UN's reputation.

ban ki-moon· united nations· haiti· cholera· blue helmets

2:20:48 Finally, an admission. An admission yes ever since the earthquake in Haiti which I covered extensively particularly the money flows or lack of money flows that bogative musician politicians the Clinton involvement man just go back and look you know from around when that happened and listen to some of those shows And then of course we had 300,000 people living in tents and they were pooping their guts out and dying because of cholera brought in by the blue helmets. The... Right who never admitted liability? So finally they have! Excellencies... Oh yeah this is Ban Ki-moon The Grand Puba of the United Nations Excellencies ladies and gentlemen the united nations deeply regrets the loss of life

2:21:37 and suffering caused by the cholera outbreak in Haiti. On behalf of the United Nations, I want to say very clearly we apologize to the Haitian people We simply did not do enough with regard to the cholera outbreak and its spread in Haiti. We are profoundly sorry for our role This has cast a shadow upon the relationship between the United Nations and the people of Haiti. It is a blemish on the reputation of UN peacekeeping and organization worldwide for the sake of the Haitian people but also for the sake of the United Nations itself we have moral responsibility to act, and we have collective responsibility to deliver Don't laugh! Why you are laughing? Shut up

2:22:43 All right, there's bunkie so they're sorry yeah, what does that all mean? They're gonna give him some money maybe There's sorry. I'm sorry but sorry, but I would like to go from the blue helmets to the white helmets for a moment. The Swedish Institute of International Affairs had a big conference about the white helmets known as the official Syrian... what are they called? They're called the... I guess... Syrian Defense, Civil Defense or something like that yeah And, you know the issue we have is exactly what came up. Is um... Who exactly are you guys? Did you see their mannequin and- Their mannequin video by the way? No. Mannequins challenge yeah! They did a mannequin- Oh they did the white hats did a mannequin challenge? Did a mannequin challenge yes. Oh brother. Here's how it worked So you saw someone lying underneath rubble and they uh..and uh...and there's two people trying to get him out and doing the mannequin freeze because it's fake of course

CHAPTER 31 / 35 Discussion

White Helmets, Syrian Civil Defense Funding

The funding and legitimacy of the Syrian Civil Defense, known as the White Helmets, are questioned during a conference in Sweden. It is revealed that the group has received $23 million from USAID and $29 million from the British Foreign Service. The hosts also mention the "mannequin challenge" video produced by the group, which they claim proves the staged nature of some of their rescue footage.

white helmets· syria· usaid· mannequin challenge· regime change

2:23:46 And then the iPhone goes around, they see it and then boom! Then they start to move. And they pull this guy out But it's totally fake which shows you know the ability of them to create anything They want It was very believable Until he knows hey how come their not moving? Ah mannequin challenge So these guys is fishy and their funding is fishy. And this came out... Those guys, they're beyond fishy! Well the Swedes are all over it. Syria's civil defense describes itself as independent neutral impartial with no official affiliation to any political or military actor for many people this self-definition has

2:24:26 led to raising some difficult questions that need to be addressed, I think. The first one concerns the funding of Syria's civil defence out of approximately 60 million dollars in contributions since 2013 the United States USAID, or especially its Office of Transitional Initiatives. An office that By supporters, it's called democracy promotion. And by its critics, called instigating regime change. I don't take any side there. But this office has contributed $23 million out of 60. And the second big donor is the British Foreign Service who have donated $29 million

2:25:27 And there are some other NATO countries, France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark who also contribute a little bit. Other European countries have chosen not to give serious civil defense, the White Helmets any contribution including this country Sweden and as far as I know the European Union has not made an effort to support the white helmets? I will go with the points one by another, but starting about the point of governmental support for the white helmets and that there are governments who chose not to support the white helmets.

2:26:14 Actually, we did not ever submit a request and it was rejected by any government. We are not aware for example if the Swedish government refused to support the white helmets. I believe our work in Syria is very obvious for every objective person what we are doing there There are countries like Japan, for example who support us also. I don't think it's NATO or not but the same countries they also fund the United Nations and they fund a lot of humanitarian organizations

2:26:53 So does that make the UN and all the humanitarian organizations as NATO tools? For example, also we see people accuse the government of Saudi Arabia that it supports Al-Qaeda. And at the same time, the same government supports United Nations. Does it...does that makes the United Nations supporting al Qaeda or affiliated to it?" Well, that's a nice way of deflecting interesting. Yeah, it's two hours long so this came in this morning so this is what I pulled from it there was all the question came up because a lot of editing because the guy answers in

2:27:32 In Arabic and you know, so the guys translated. So this was actually quite an edit job But they also asked about questionable videos other things That I hope the mannequin challenge came up in that so maybe I'll have more on Thursday but I'm glad that someone is looking into this so all their funding came from USAID and From the British Foreign Services there 60 million combined Food for thought. Yes, well we discussed this before yeah I have a clip that is kind of off actually got a couple offbeat clips if you want to hear something I think is at least positive except for the fact that they kind of ridicule the report with by playing sitar music in the background but this isn't this is something that's trending I believe this is The Mushroom Report on NBC ah I've never tried them

CHAPTER 32 / 35 Discussion

Psilocybin Research, Magic Mushrooms and Cancer

NBC reports on new studies showing that psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, significantly reduces anxiety and depression in cancer patients. The FDA has also approved large-scale trials for MDMA (ecstasy) to treat PTSD. The hosts discuss the potential for pharmaceutical companies to monetize these substances as they move toward legalization.

psilocybin· magic mushrooms· nbc· cancer· ptsd· fda

2:28:27 We're back now with what you might call an unconventional way that has helped some cancer patients feel better. Psychedelic medicine, you might say in the form of magic mushrooms and doctors say for some they are working well...magic Let's get more from NBC's Kristen Dahlgren. When you think magic mushrooms, chances are something like this comes to mind but you may soon think of this a medication too small but encouraging studies out today show the hallucinogenic ingredient in some mushrooms called psilocybin reduced anxiety and depression in 80% percent of cancer patients for more than six months after receiving just one dose. So you've been through a lot though in your life with... Gail Cowan was in her fourth bout with breast cancer. You know I was really feeling sorry for myself and feeling very stressed

2:29:18 After extensive psychological testing, she was given a pill and watched closely by doctors as she listened to music and went on a vivid mind trip. Nice! It's beautiful it's you know it's something you want to embrace. Cowan took the drug two years ago and still... Like every night when I get in bed I find that I have this smile on my face It's that long-term effect that has doctors hoping for more studies conducted under tight DEA regulation and medical supervision. People should not look at this research and data, and extrapolate from there they can go get mushrooms illicitly try it and think it's gonna help them But researchers are now encouraged by the potential of psychedelics to treat things like alcoholism smoking and depression Just this week the FDA approved a large scale trial using the illegal party drug

2:30:14 ecstasy for PTSD. Once criminal compounds getting a second look and giving some like Gail Cowan, a second chance I think it's wonderful Kristen Dahlgren NBC News New York hmm first they came for our marijuana then they came for our mushrooms Yeah, and in fact I think the only reason this report happened was...and I want to play one more NBC clip after this. It's because when they did the report all you saw was mushrooms at the beginning of it but for the rest it was just little blue pill. Oh really? Yes so some drug companies extracting the psilocybin from these mushrooms and then pilling them. Right well I heard about that I heard about the PTSD research with MDMA right

2:31:02 Yeah, that was a prelude to this and so they're doing this now. There's also some LSD research being done with PTSD but it's because the drug companies are jumping in as fast as they can because they know the legalization movement once the pot stuff gets legalized everywhere is going to be screwed Yeah, it's taking away from a lot of traditional pharmaceuticals. The local coach here Steven Kerr who was half out of the season last year because of an operation on his back that went bad he is the coach for the Warriors He talked about using pot and medicinal marijuana because of this pain in his back but you know he said he looked into it did all these things much safer than using

2:31:50 indicted the drug companies for all the crap that they put out there. But he never just mentioned CBD, which he should have done and kind of broke it down a little bit because people still don't understand there's two components in medical marijuana and that CBD is stuff that is... Yeah, the cannabinoids yeah. Yeah, to do all the good work The other subjects get you stoned. So I didn't know, I've never done mushrooms is that true? That you do mushrooms once and then every night when you go to bed you have a smile on your face? Is this like an enduring trip that just never stops? I never heard that Have you ever done mushrooms? I might have asked you that. If i had if I had done that I can tell you for a fact that I can't say that I've done mushrooms but if I had I can assure you don't have a smile on your face every night

2:32:37 I guess if you're an old woman who's dying of cancer and having all these issues, probably. But if you were in college, went to a major university where everyone is drugged up and you experimented a lot most of these generalities are bull crap And most of the college kids' drugs are bullcrap too. Well, now it is. No quality. It was a little better back in the day. This has no quality. Less than 10 minutes to go! There it is your 10 minute warning that's right ten minute warning John ten-minute warning okay well then I want to get this native ad there says we just heard a native ad which I believe was a native ad and people criticize us for promoting the stupid pens man. Yeah, yeah i mean this is like... I got it! This means that my wine recommendation... Yeah your wine tip you can't do it you can't do it you can't do it because they'll just accuse me of when will be gone by the way and by the way when you're sending out and you send it out native as a joke

CHAPTER 33 / 35 Discussion

Howard Schultz, Starbucks CEO Resignation

The resignation of Howard Schultz as CEO of Starbucks is discussed. The hosts question why this is treated as major national news, suggesting it is either a result of effective PR or a native advertisement intended to "stroke" corporate partners.

howard schultz· starbucks· ceo· native ad· corporate news

2:36:44 They did slip Toys R Us in there, but it's about Target. Too much information about Target! By the way these hatchables... Man we need to turn these into hackables Can you imagine if this thing breaks through this egg? I don't know if you've seen any of this and starts talking It starts talking to ya Yeah But listen, its so sick This is so sick If you give this toy to your child, it's an egg. It's a oversized egg and you have to rub the egg and then the egg lights up on the inside where you're supposed to rub it. And you rub that area if to hold the egg, you have to nurture the egg and then the egg starts to hatch. You see how like the Furby thing? There is a Furby-like thing in there which talks to you learns plays games etc... Now the first time these came around it was bad but this is really...you're teaching...give the kid a real egg!

2:37:38 You know, show put it under the light and keep it warm and watch an actual chicken hatch from it. No we're going to do Hatchables I remember when not for Christmas It wasn't my present but we've done that with the egg That's really beautiful you see life happen But no...no it has to be a stupid hachable We need to reprogram their ROMs This is another one here. This is the NBC surprise announcement clip, and I wanna... This has been this not just NBC but it's everybody there's a fortune 500 consists of 500 companies in the Fortune 1000s of thousands how often does anybody give a crap about a CEO of any of those 500 companies quitting? Zero. Yeah zero nobody cares no

2:38:32 But why is this? This is either some good PR that's working through some agency or a native ad, which I suspect it's partially in native ad about Howard Schultz quitting Starbucks as if this is important news. A surprise announcement tonight from one of the most high profile business leaders in America, Starbucks chairman and CEO Howard Schultz says he'll step down as the company's chief executive in April. He'll become executive chairman and the Starbucks president will take over as CEO. Schultz has been with the company since 1982 Yeah... I don't think it was a native ad

2:39:14 Well, it may or may not have been a native ad but it's not news. It's a corporate thing you know... And by the way this was just on the last... he quit like a week ago and then they missed the whole story Oh then its just that it's a filler They just needed one story to fill up the last 45 seconds before the break You know how it works Yeah I know how it works but there are lots of fillers out there that don't involve Starbucks No but you might as well stroke your buddies Get a free coffee I just have one report from the Euro lands. This is expected around Christmas, it's expected in Germany. Europol has warned that Europe can expect more terrorist attacks in the near future carried out by the self-styled Islamic State group or its name. Europe's police agency believes attacks such as those in Paris and Brussels show that ISIL has already developed new tactics to strike at the West

CHAPTER 34 / 35 Discussion

Europol, Terrorism Warnings and Dutch Discrimination

Europol warns of potential ISIS sleeper cell attacks in Europe during the Christmas season. Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, a government-funded organization (MIND) has reportedly stated that religious speech by Muslims against homosexuality does not constitute illegal discrimination, a move the hosts find highly problematic.

europol· isis· copenhagen· netherlands· discrimination

2:40:05 In a new report, Europol says the threat comes from both networked groups and lone actors arguing also that the battle against the terrorists is far from lost. It is a reality that more attacks are likely but the response is also stronger so I think we will get to the stage where we will probably suppress the threats of ISIS The report warns that the extremist tactics in the Middle East, such as the use of car bombs could also be deployed in Europe. One of the main findings is that sleeper cells could already be on European soil waiting for an order to strike and that individuals may be incited to act. It would be a big mistake just believe that the threat is coming from outside we still have

2:40:49 We have a lot of people prone to radicalization inside Europe. Europol says community leaders have a role to play in preventing ISIL from recruiting increased cooperation between police across Europe is seen as the key to combating the threat and has already led to plots being foiled Okay, enjoy Christmas! Enjoy Christmas in Copenhagen. Here's a clip nobody is covering on the mainstream media about the riots in Copenhagen of all places. Welcome back, clashes over immigration have broken out between police and opposing protest groups in the Danish capital. Did he say anti-racism slogans?

2:41:55 Yes, there's a second organization is a huge organization that was protesting to calling the Europeans racists for not welcoming these refugees. Ah well My report from the Netherlands big deal going on There's an organization called Meltpunt Internet Discriminatie known as MIND That is the place to report discrimination on the internet. I believe they receive government funding and they have now stated, this is great... They have stated that if a Muslim speaks out against homosexuality in context of their religion that it's not discrimination.

2:42:52 That's a good one. So if it's in the context of this is not my religion doesn't believe in this therefore homosexuals are horrible, it's no good as long as it's within the context of the religion They say religion, not culture. They say the religion then that is okay I find that problematic It's very problematic and all you have to do to make anything religion religious Kind of in regards to it based if you know aiming at homosexuals You just finish the sentence with uh, you know Allah appraised all praise to Allah Yeah, yes

CHAPTER 35 / 35 Discussion

Outro, Sign-off and Altitude Sickness

Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak sign off for the day, promising to return on Thursday. The final segments include a strange, looped clip of a conversation regarding "lawn clippings" and chewing coca leaves for altitude sickness in Peru, followed by the show's signature "Adios Mofos" exit.
