Apple is facing a significant patent infringement lawsuit from VirnetX regarding VPN technology used in iPhones and iPads. VirnetX, which acquired patents from the intelligence-linked Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), could potentially claim up to 1% of Apple's hardware revenue if a settlement is reached.
