A study involving 1,449 participants with an average age of 71 suggests that individuals with high levels of "cynical distrust" may face a higher risk of developing dementia. Dr. Simon Ridley of Alzheimer’s Research UK noted that while the study indicates outlook plays a role, the actual number of volunteers who developed dementia during the research was small.
