The company has spent a decade lobbying Congress to reclassify obesity as a chronic disease rather than a lifestyle choice, successfully influencing the "Treat and Reduce Obesity Act." This marketing push comes as competitors like Eli Lilly and Pfizer prepare to release their own versions of GLP-1 drugs.
