The Department of Justice filed a court order demanding that Apple and Google hand over the personal data of more than 10,000 users of the "Obsidian 4" gunscope app. The app, produced by American Technologies Network Corp, allows users to calibrate high-end rifle scopes via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Privacy advocates view the request as an unprecedented move that potentially violates Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches.
