A massive technical glitch at a Tampa-based company called Cineverse caused over 168,000 "ghost texts" to be delivered months after they were sent. Some users received messages from deceased relatives or ex-partners, leading to significant emotional distress and domestic confusion. The delay originated from a maintenance update that released messages stuck in the system since Valentine's Day.
