Controversial Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen has died in exile in Pennsylvania at age 83. Gulen was accused by Turkey of masterminding a 2016 coup attempt while operating a vast network of charter schools in the United States. Producer Sir Mark Hall, an expert on the movement, explains that these schools receive nearly $1 billion in U.S. taxpayer funding annually, with a significant portion allegedly diverted to the movement's non-educational goals.
