A Department of Homeland Security report claiming a Boeing 757 was remotely hacked in 2016 is being dismissed by some as a planted story to benefit competitor Airbus. The timing of the report coincided with the Dubai Airshow, where Boeing secured major orders from Emirates. Boeing maintains that the test did not identify any legitimate cyber vulnerabilities in their aircraft systems.
