CNN and other outlets are reporting on a vague Al-Qaeda threat against the U.S. and Europe during the Christmas season. A new acronym, "AQUSA" (Al-Qaeda in the USA), has been introduced by General Petraeus and academic Bruce Hoffman. The hosts argue this is a "fractal" of the 1950s Red Scare, designed to maintain a permanent state of domestic fear.
