This morning we're learning why attorneys wanted to depose former president Clinton in a now settled defamation case relating to allegations against sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his one-time paramour Ghislaine Maxwell. The first batch of previously sealed court documents related to Epstein were made public last night. One from a lawsuit filed by Virginia Goufray. She's one of the women who say they were abused at Epstein's home in Florida, New York, and on a private Caribbean island. Goufray's attorneys sought to depose Clinton as part of her 2016 lawsuit against Epstein's former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, because her attorneys argued Clinton is a key person who can provide information about his close relationship with Maxwell and Epstein and disapprove Maxwell's claims.

Guffray made no allegations of wrongdoing against Clinton, contradicting a previous claim when she said she flew with Clinton and the Secret Service in a helicopter. According to Maxwell's unsealed deposition, she said the allegations that Clinton had dinner on Epstein's private island were 100% false. Without Virginia Giffrey's lawsuit, this stuff wouldn't have been exchanged because it was relevant to the claims. After Epstein's arrest in 2019, a Clinton spokesperson denied the former president knew about Epstein's crimes, denied Clinton was ever on Epstein's island, and said Clinton had not communicated with Epstein in more than a decade.

48:19 How seriously should the US be taking this as a national security issue? Joining us now to discuss, we have Jim Nels, supply chain consultant and economic analyst. To begin, the Red Sea crisis is now spilling over into African ports that are swamped with all these ships that have been rerouted. fuel prices are expected to rise as a result. But give us a sense of what the economic fallout is here. Well, if you look at the stretch of the ocean between the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Aden, they call it the I-95 of the ocean. You get about 21,000 ships a year that travel down there. About $9 billion a day of commerce traverse the Red Sea. So the economic impact is quite large. It also includes anywhere from three to eight million barrels of oil a day. And that's why we're seeing oil start to increase

49:06 Oil is up a couple of bucks today. It was down the other day, but I think we're going to continue to see it rise as more and more shipping companies say, we're not going to traverse the Red Sea. We're going to go around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa and add 14 to 21 days to the supply chain. And what impacts do these shipping delays and rerouting have on national security? On natural security, we'll start to see store shelves maybe not have as much as you would like to have on there. You may not be able to get some of the products that you'd like. You're not going to see what we saw during COVID. But the bigger concern is the inability to get oil through the Red Sea. And when you start to combine this with the issues that we have at the Panama Canal, the Panama Canal right now is running at 50% capacity because of very low water levels.

49:53 So between the Panama Canal and the Red Sea, we're starting to see a very large backup of shipping and we'll start to see congestion at the ports. We saw what happened with that in 2020 and 2021. So there are some national security implications, but hopefully we can get this resolved quickly and we're not going to see anything to the extent that we saw back during COVID. Does anyone come up with a possible increase in consumer goods analysis of this obvious increase in shipping costs? It hasn't shown up in the debate, but there was a little gotcha in there that just kind of like, wait a minute. Why is the Panama Canal water level so low when the oceans are rising? It's climate change. Climate change means the oceans are rising. You have the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean, both oceans, they should be rising making the Panama Canal flooded.

Factor number one is Iran. Riyadh and Tehran signed a peace deal this year. They decided to normalize relations. So the long-time rivalry is on pause.
