TSA Administrator Peter Neffinger testified that 73 employees were identified in the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE) database. Following an FBI review, most of these individuals were "scrubbed" from the list as they did not meet the criteria for being actual terrorist threats. The TIDE database is a central repository for classified information on over one million known or suspected international terrorists.
