Samuel Patten Guilty Plea and Inauguration Funding
Lobbyist Samuel Patten pleaded guilty to failing to register as a foreign agent and illegally funneling $50,000 from a Ukrainian oligarch into Donald Trump’s inaugural committee. The case was referred by Special Counsel Robert Mueller to the U.S. Attorney in Washington. Patten admitted to using a "straw donor" to purchase tickets for foreign nationals to attend the 2017 inauguration.
