Giant Carnivorous Plant Discovery, Nepenthes Attenboroughi
Explorer Sir David Attenborough discovered a new species of giant carnivorous plant in the Philippines capable of consuming small rodents. Named Nepenthes attenboroughi, the pitcher plant uses a funnel-like structure to trap and slowly dissolve its prey. The expedition also documented a unique solid blue mushroom in the same region.
