Miles Yu, former China advisor to Mike Pompeo, explained on C-SPAN that the surge in Chinese migrants at the US border is driven by youth unemployment and political repression under Xi Jinping. Yu noted that the number of Chinese nationals seeking asylum has quadrupled over the last decade.
