Kenneth Chamberlain, White Plains Police, Life Alert Fatality
Kenneth Chamberlain, an elderly man in White Plains, New York, was killed by police after accidentally triggering his Life Alert medical button. Audio recordings reveal that despite Chamberlain telling the operator he was fine and did not need assistance, police broke down his door, used a Taser on him, and eventually shot him. A grand jury subsequently exonerated the officers involved.
