John Galliano Met Gala Cancellation, Anti-Semitism Controversy
The Metropolitan Museum of Art cancelled a planned exhibition of designer John Galliano's work following renewed outrage over his past anti-Semitic and racist comments. Galliano, the former head of Dior, was convicted in 2011 for anti-Semitic abuse in Paris. The decision has also led to calls for Vogue editor Anna Wintour to retire for her continued support of the designer.
