Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a Department of Justice lawsuit against New York State and Governor Kathy Hochul over sanctuary city policies. The DOJ argues that New York's "Green Light" laws illegally prevent federal immigration officers from accessing citizenship status and criminal records. Bondi has also ordered a pause on all DOJ funds to cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.
