An investigation by KGO-TV's Dan Noyes uncovered $10 million worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) rotting in the rain at the San Mateo County Event Center. The county had moved the supplies outside to make room for events and failed to protect them from storms. Thousands of boxes of masks and gowns were eventually sent to a dump despite ongoing claims of PPE shortages.
