California-based Blue Coat Systems is allegedly providing equipment to the Syrian government to block internet access and track dissidents. While the State Department claims to be investigating, Blue Coat's client list includes numerous US agencies such as the CIA and DHS. The company, based in Sunnyvale, denies making direct sales to Syrian censors.
