The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) alleged that prominent German journalist Hubert Seipel received 600,000 euros from a company linked to Russian oligarch Alexei Mordashev. The payments were reportedly part of a sponsorship deal for Seipel's books about Vladimir Putin. Seipel's publisher has since stopped selling his work, and the ARD broadcaster is investigating the lack of transparency regarding these financial ties.
