A new study reported by NBC News links high doses of ADHD stimulant medications to an increased risk of psychosis and mania. Dosages exceeding 40mg of Adderall or 100mg of Vyvanse were found to correlate with a 5.3 times greater likelihood of developing psychotic symptoms. These levels are noted to be within the range of common medical prescriptions.
